BUT to answer your question i like kankurō !! i do wish he had more screentime to get to know him better, i feel he’s kinda over shadowed a lot (as well as temari. i think there is a lot to explore with the relationships of the sand sibs in general). i really really love his design tho so i think that alone makes me like him all the more tbh.

idk !! i think his fights are quite entertaining to watch (i think i liked his one against shino the best but that might be biased bc i looove shino). i do like the complexity of the sand sibs relationship a lot so i definitely like kankurō, i just genuinely wish we got more of him

About team Hebi/Taka and team seven

Part 02

So this led us to team Hebi and team Taka… ok ok, I know it's the same group of people and all, but hear me out.

Well, in chapter 344 Sasuke made an interesting allusion about snakes and hawks and so then called Orochimaru a snake and Sasuke himself as a hawk.

But then the first name he gave to his team was hebi (snake). I don't know if everybody is aware of the fact that the names Sasuke has chosen it's linked to how he sees the world.

Hebi, as a snake, Sasuke has one only target and it is the only thing he could see in front of him. Sasuke walks on the ground having a limited perception of the world he lives in.

At the moment Sasuke learned the truth about Itachi he also became aware of the corruption in the world, so as a hawk, he started to fly and have a better perception of everything that happens beneath his eyes. So then he became Taka.

And he had two moments as Hebi and Taka. Hebi with Itachi and Danzo and Taka with Tobi and when they revived the Kages.

Well well well… This can also be applied to the other members of the team.

Each of them has an objective. Suigetsu wants Kisame's sword, Karin wants to stick around Sasuke and Juugo has some kind of duty to see if Sasuke is strong enough to be Kimimaro’s memento.

And everything changed when Itachi died.

I don't know if we can assume that Juugo knows about Sasuke's past, but surely Suigetsu and Karin knew.

It wasn't shown, but for sure Sasuke had told them what happened and again they had to choose to be with him or not because the reason why they were reunited was to find Itachi, however, now the story is different, so then they stayed and fought for Sasuke's purpose.

And that's why I like so much team taka, each of them has something in common with Sasuke, as if each of them reflects a bit Sasuke's history and trajectory, so this the reason why they stood with him no matter what, they understood him (even more than Naruto, sorry)… that's why Kishi has this urge to create a team for him.

Who will follow Sasuke? People that are equal to him.

And the same goes for Sasuke. He acknowledged them because he knows they share the same pain and loneliness and that's what makes them strong.

And the point is: the moment all of them change for taka we could see their real intentions.

Karin and Juugo databooks shows it clearly.

Kishi himself wrote questions for the characters and that's great because in the next databook he answers those same questions.

For Karin

We already knew that Karin had feelings for Sasuke, but at the beginning we saw the characterization of a fangirl with pervert thoughts, and unfortunately, the data release of her first databook was made one year after her debut in manga, so unlike Juugo and Suigetsu, Karin’s past background was never mentioned in the manga. So, basically the databook series was released in the middle of volume 43 and 44 at the moment Hebi became Taka, so eventually we had the first information about her.

Her heart and mind was with Taka and she never felt loyalty towards Orochimaru, she stayed in ottokagure because of Sasuke, but why?

Her databook came at the moment she turned in Taka showing us her true self and true history.

This leads us to the other databook where we learn about chapter 480, the reason why she stayed with him, demonstrating a selfless love and showing her real intentions as a Taka member.

It's important to point out that the last databook series was released close to the last chapter of the manga.

So at the end we learn her history and why she felt so close to Sasuke.

With Juugo we had something more subtle. His first intention was to see if Sasuke was worthed to be Kimimaro's memento, so he needed to see with his own eyes because for him only Kimimaro's wishes mattered so in the beginning Juugo was testing Sasuke's intentions.

The translation is kind of weird and has a huge difference between the Brazilian Portuguese translation, it says “but then a light shines, the one for whom Kimimaro gave his life… Sasuke. So Juugo came out of his own isolation to test Sasuke’s power.”

Here we don't see nothing new from the manga

But here Juugo had finally recognized Sasuke's power and wishes, not only as a memento, but as the person Sasuke was. So we can assume that this changes began after Itachi's deaths when Sasuke's purpose changed, at that moment Juugo’s changed too.

For that, my point of view is the thing: Juugo didn't know about Sasuke's past, but at the moment he was aware of all of the history he just wanted to be the person Kimimaro was to him and this lead us to another detail in Juugo's changes as a Taka.

Ladies and gentlemen, Juugo was putting Karin's wishes above Kimimaro's, and therefore, he was thinking about Sasuke's well being too. So this is a markable point for his character guuys, can you see why?

Juugo no longer protects Kimimaro's interests which were the same as Orochimaru's, he is no longer a Hebi (or what we saw in my previous post) that he is no longer Orochimaru’s Hebi… He is now part of Taka and he does everything to protect Sasuke's will.

Another thing that is very important to point out is that part in the databook it says “Imprinting in these eyes Sasuke's existence, he pushes forward towards the ninja world in turmoil.”

Juugo is described as a gentle person that doesn't wanna fight or hurt anyone, but for Sasuke he made sacrifices and fought whenever it was necessary…

Suigetsu, he was more difficult to understand because he had one and exclusive goal that never changed, so he said to be with Sasuke to have a chance to capture Kisame's sword and that it was when he was a Hebi.

But when his first databook came out we got to understand why he wanted that so bad.

This dream wasn't exclusive his and he didn't only wanted to collect swords, his dream of rebuilding the seven ninja swordsmen came as a result of his brother's death.

And those same informations repeated in his last databook.

But, unfortunately, all his path was a waste of time. Kishimoto just forgot about it and somehow he didn't know what to do with Suigetsu after all, not only him, but team taka as a whole and that's so sad. Actually, at the end, Suigetsu got the executioner ‘s blade back? I Don't remember that.

Anyways, Suigetsu turned out as a Taka in the moment we discovered about his brother and it seems his brother was his only bond, somehow he extended this bond with the rest of team taka at the point of sacrificing his own life for them. I believe that the moment Suigetsu knew about Itachi, he thought about his own brother and wanted to fight for Sasuke's purpose too.

He wasn't just looking for swords after all, in the end he was looking for freedom too.

That's it, team Taka is a resemblance for Sasuke, they were written exclusively for his trajectory and each of them can understand Sasuke better than anyone.

That's why they tag along and stay together. Unfortunately they didn't have a place to return, and even though Kishimoto gave ambitions and goals to each of them, in the end, Team Taka remained in the same place that took everything from them… Just like Sasuke as well.

Suigetsu could have returned to his homeland, Juugo wanted to stay in the land of lightning and Karin... Well, in a universe where Sasuke can't be with her, many possibilities to reconnect with the past or start over.

Does your OC have a kekkei genkai?

YES!! You see, I am super hyperfixated on Naruto rn and I didn't just create Aoi, I created villages, jutsus, cultures and even a whole mf clan 😭😭

In my post you might have noticed that my character's last name is never mentioned in the anime nor manga, that's because the Yamisakou are a clan I made up, and flesh manipulation is their kekkei genkai!!

The kekkei genkai works by concentrating a specific amount of chakra– not too much, not too little– into your own flesh, and therefore, being able to manipulate and control it however you wish. Much like Kimimaro Kaguya with his shikotsumyaku.

(There's so much more about it but I don't want the post to become too long with useless information regarding your question)

Plus, in my drawing, those tentacle-like things coming out of her back are literally just her flesh.

Who do you think was the most wasted characters in Naruto? And just for fun, who's someone you think was actually used the perfect amount?

Woof, where to begin. Well, if you're talking about wasted female characters you gotta start with every single female character, I think

No, wait, granny Chiyo got it pretty good. She had her own personal arc, fought a main villain and went out on her own terms in a pretty emotional moment. Even when she got revived in the war she didn't get screwed over, which is pretty rare

Tayuya from the Sound 4 too. Yeah, she was only a disposable mook, but she had a badass design, some sick summonings, kicked Shikamaru's ass, and got killed by Temari. Short, sweet and to the point. The rest of the sound 4 as well were pretty good for being disposable mooks

All the jinchuriki except Naruto, Killer Bee and Gaara got screwed over too, literally offscreened and they got fuck all backstory or development. Same with the biju

The raikage and the tsuchikage got done decently well, though unfortunately I can't say the same about Mei Terumi, the mizukage and the only person in the series with two bloodline limits. You'd think someone like that would be front and center on every fight, showing her vast arsenal of elemental jutsu, but alas, she was a female character in Naruto, so she was fucked from the beginning

Danzo also got wasted. He was hyped as the dark face of the ninja world, and when he finally got some action it was with a hax Uchiha jutsu. And then he died with some half-assed bromance with Hiruzen

Karin, Jugo and Suigetsu got done dirty too. Karin specially, but the boys as well. It's a crying shame Jugo never got to meet the reincarnated Kimimaro, that would've been great to see

Kimimaro was actually used the perfect amount. He came, beat Naruto, served to show Lee's drunken fist, showed off the best level 2 cursed seal design, nearly killed Gaara and died like a beast. Respect

I feel like if we're talking about Naruto character we gotta add a third category besides "wasted" and "perfect" which would be "death by overexposure". Here would be characters like Orochimaru, who went from one of the best villains in the series to... uh... whatever the fuck he became when he got revived

Kabuto too. I don't like that he transformed himself into a dragon sage but it would've been a decent end for his story I think, trying to one-up Orochimaru and failing. Him getting a rushed redemption and ending up running an orphanage was. What the fuck were you thinking Kishi. Seriously

Minato would fall in the same category. Flashback!Minato is a spectacular ninja, truly deserving of the title of hokage. 4th ninja war Minato is lame, makes stupid names for his attacks, and got two power-ups he didn't need and shouldn't have gotten at all

Hot take maybe but I think Kakashi should've stayed dead after the Pain saga. He got one good moment after the war, which was his second fight with Zabuza, and that was it. The whole Obito storyline wasn't good for anybody (although it made one spectacular fight in the anime), and him choosing to become Hokage because Obito asked, when TSUNADE WAS RIGHT THERE was a very bitter pill

Oh yeah speaking of Zabuza and Haku, they both were great. Getting resurrected actually helped show how much Zabuza loved Haku and how much of a travesty the edo tensei jutsu was

Jiraiya was also done perfectly. Whether he was a good character and whether him being a pervert killed his likeability are debatable topics, but he was a good mentor, a great fighter and went down like the best, paving the path for Naruto. I only wish Pain had recovered his corpse and used it to invade Konoha, can you imagine the emotional damage?

Speaking of Naruto's mentors, I think Iruka was done pretty decently. He didn't get much, true, but what he got was generally good

Most of the Cloud guys were there for show, didn't really get to do much. Same with the Rock guys. Same with Kankuro and Temari (Temari should've gone with Chiyo and Sakura to fight Sasori). Oh yeah Team 8, the poster children for wasted potential, alongside their sensei Kurenai "benched for being pregnant" Yuhi

Kisame was done great, I think. Mysterious, massively powerful, kicked his cheating sword aside when it got too horny for Killer Bee's chakra, killed himself to avoid an info leak and even after death he got one up over the good guys

Itachi, not so much. He certainly got too much overexposure after his death. Sadistic criminal Itachi was great. Kind-hearted, super genius, had-the-qualifications-to-be-Hokage-at-12-years-of-age Itachi felt like too much

Oh yeah, here's a niche one: Hanzo of the Salamander. The guy who fought the young sannin to a standstill, who gave them the title of sannin, got revived, had an unnecessary flashback bromance to a samurai and incapacitated himself, and didn't get to do anything cool at all

And well, let's close on a controversial (maybe?) note. Both Naruto and Sasuke got death by overexposure. Sasuke's storyline was way more of a mess than Naruto's but neither of them were good

Ten Years

Since his promotion to Kazekage at fifteen years old, Gaara has received a letter with a gift on the anniversary of his promotion each following year. Just like every letter of adoration he’s received since becoming Kazekage, he keeps them, but these letters are… Special. In them are very ardent confessions of love from someone who clearly knows him, but since they’re not ever addressed with a name or a location, he can’t figure out who it is.

It’s weird, too. Most of the time, he only receives these sorts of things from his admirers on special holidays like his birthday. But this one person has been writing to him for ten years, sending him things he loves like new cacti starters and special herbal teas. Each letter is increasingly intimate, too, wishing him good fortune and telling him how well he’s done for himself. Part of him likes these letters. The other part of him is just confused by them- at least until today. 

It’s about to be the eleventh anniversary of his promotion to Kazekage. Gaara, who’s about to go to Konohagakure for a meeting, goes to check up on the man that Kakashi- Konoha’s most recent Hokage- sent as his escort. In the back of his mind, he’s looking forward to whatever the eleventh letter and gift will be.

Rock Lee is staying in a guest bedroom in the Kazekage compound, just a few doors down from Gaara’s personal suite. Gaara is honestly more excited to see his old friend than he should be, but then again, he figures his feelings for Lee go far beyond ‘old friend’. Since their battle with Kimimaro, his feelings have only grown and evolved into something much more romantic. Why he hasn’t acted on it- well, being Kazekage is complicated and he doesn’t want to drag Lee into it, even if he does return the sentiment, which Gaara knows he has no reason to.

But then, he checks the knob to Lee’s room and opens the door when he notices it’s unlocked. He sees the ravenette sitting at a desk writing something on paper, to which he blinks. Lee’s hobbies include training, exercising, fighting, gardening (something he picked up because of Gaara), and woodwork- all very physical things that involve you standing, moving, and being outside to some degree. 

Seeing Lee sitting at the desk of his guest room is odd. Aside from the little notepad that Lee carries around and refers to as his ‘ultra secret ninja tips’, Gaara isn’t sure he’s actually seen Lee write anything. Not mission reports, not songs or poems or stories, not letters, nothing. 

Lee hasn’t noticed him, so with his interest piqued, Gaara quietly sneaks behind him and looks over his shoulder. He expects to see he draft of a mission report or maybe the ‘ultra secret ninja tips’ notepad. Instead, he’s faced with a familiar stationary that makes his face burn the same shade of red as his hair.

Gaara can’t see the words Lee is writing, he’s just not close enough, and he doesn’t have his reading glasses. He does, however, recognize the silly white stationary with multi-colored leaves around the border as well as the dark green pen ink and the green envelope that sits to Lee’s left. To Lee’s right is a gift wrapped with the exact wrapping paper that Lee has apparently been using for the past ten- now eleven- years. 

Gaara wants to scream. He has a million things he thinks to say- proclamations of love, yells of frustration, demands of when and why and how. All that comes out is a choked-

“So it was you the entire time.”

Lee turns around, seemingly startled by Gaara’s presence, but he doesn’t look upset. His face doesn’t drop. He doesn’t appear distressed in the way that Gaara feels like he should be considering the circumstances.

“Huh? What are you talking about?” Lee asks casually.

“The letters, and the gifts,” Gaara reiterates, clearing his throat and averting his gaze. His seafoam eyes are trained on the boring hardwood floors as if they’re the most interesting thing he’s seen in his entire life. “They’ve been from you?”

“Are you telling me you didn’t know?” And that’s when Gaara realizes that he may have sorta maybe probably messed up really badly here- or, for the past decade. With the letters having very specific details about his life and promotion, the author would’ve had to have been someone who knew him, and with the gifts always fitting his tastes, the author also would’ve had to be a good friend who Gaara would divulge his interests to. Plus, rather than the usual ‘you’re hot and I love you’ letters that Gaara has grown accustomed to from his admirers, all of the ones he’s received from Lee have been very wholesome and heartfelt. Finally, with the green wrapping paper, green pen, green envelope and leaf-themed stationary… He should’ve guessed that it was Lee years ago. Apparently, even Lee thinks he should’ve known. “My handwriting is very distinct! I assumed you’d recognize it.”

“Honestly, I should’ve guessed…” Gaara sighs, a little disappointed in his own lack of deductive reasoning skills. Lee just sits in the chair, unbothered and beaming up at him. “But are you seriously telling me you confessed your love to me through letter a decade ago and you thought I just ignored it? Why would you keep talking to me after that?”

“I dunno, I just thought you weren’t ready yet or something and that you’d come to me when you were!” Lee shrugs. 

Gaara isn’t sure he gets the line of thought. If Lee assumed Gaara wasn’t interested at the time, why would he continue to send letters and gifts for years after the first one was supposedly ignored?

“So you… Kept sending them even after you thought I brushed off your love confession and just… Didn’t bother addressing it with you.”

“Is something wrong?”

“Nothing- well, aside from the fact that we could’ve been dating ten years ago,” Gaara huffs. Sure, his position is complicated, and he knows the council will throw a hissy fit about him dating a man and not producing a biological heir at some point, but he would’ve been willing to deal with that back then and is still willing to do so now if it would mean being with Lee. He always thought that Lee wasn’t interested, though, which is why he didn’t bother in fear of ruining their friendship. “It’s just… A tad overwhelming, but in hindsight, it was obvious. You are quite persistent like that.”

“Wait, you love me back!?” Lee practically cheers and stands from his chair at the desk, his pen still in hand.

With the force of how fast Lee rises up to his feet, the chair clatters to the floor and makes an obnoxiously loud noise that Lee doesn’t even bat an eye at.

“How could you not know that by now?” Gaara groans and buries his face in his hands. “Lee, for the love of God, I’m the Kazekage and I do not need an escort but every time I have to travel out of town, I request you specifically. Why do you think that is?”

“Well, I thought it was because you wanted to catch up with your old pal Rock Lee, but I guess it was a little more complicated than that!” Lee laughs, blushes, and scratches the back of his neck. “Huh, what a relief!”

“At the very least, I’m glad you return my feelings…”

A pause, and then, Gaara is leaning forward to press a chaste kiss against Lee’s lips. It’s warm and sweet, even with Gaara being anxious that he didn’t do it quite right. Lee briefly kisses him back, then pulls away to ask-

“What now?”

“If you don’t mind, could I read the letter you were planning on sending this year?” Gaara requests and points to the stationary Lee was writing on before he interrupted. “That’s it on the desk, isn’t it?”

“Oh, uh, sure! Here!”

Lee hands the letter to Gaara. And so, the two men sit on the floor of Gaara’s guest room, reading the new letter Lee has written and laughing about the ten years they wasted.

Questions for C Control Pt.2

(As a follow-up for the previous post I made about questions I had about C Control, I decided to make a part 2 since I found that there were, in fact, a few questions still lingering in my head 🤔)

(These questions are mostly just ones I came up with for fun while I was re-watching the show(because that's a thing I do on an average Thursday night 😋))

(ALSO note that this one is somewhat longer than the previous one)

-Hypothetically, what would happen if a Midas representative had a child? Would the child be able to go along with life normally, or would they have some sort of 'special perk'? Are Midas representatives even able to have children????

-In episode 8(in specifically the Japanese sub), Kimimaro calls out to Masakaki, and right after Masakaki actually shows up, Kimimaro admits that he had 3 other ways of getting his attention if yelling didn't work out. I just wonder, what were those other ways?

-In episode 3, Sato mentions two things:

1. The size of each financial district varies on the economic state of the portion of the world it covers, with the far Eastern countries having the largest districts(which would mean that at least most countries located in Asia must be quite huge)

2. There is at least one agent in each financial district trying to get more information on the bank(I believe?)

-Both of these made me come up with several questions:

-Exactly how small could a district possibly be? And which districts are the smallest?

-I wish we could've gotten the point of view from agents in other countries, because how are their investigations doing? Is there possibly any information on the bank that we didn't get to hear about in the show?

-I've been wondering this for quite a bit now actually- But could a person take a picture of the representatives? Or would it be glitched out like with Alastor from Hazbin Hotel? (I don't think there's really a reason for this question lmao- I just think it's fun to think about someone taking a picture of one of the Midas bankers and sharing it with all their friends...Totally not something I'd do in real life, haha 😊)

-I don't think we've ever gotten a full list of the rules in the district, so I wonder how many rules there are? What if a person were to break one or at least several of them?...Or all of them?

-What if a person refused to take part in a deal? I'd imagine there'd be automatic consequences for them(like them immediately 'losing' the deal), but again, it's fun imagining a representative having to physically force a person to participate...

-So say if a child had their own bank account and stuff, would they be viable to become an entre? Are children entres a thing in the financial district???

-...Could female Midas representatives exist? Could that be a possible thing??? This is the question that truly plagues me every night(/hj)

-Does a representative have to do their job? Could they possibly just...Not do anything at all and completely neglect the district? Could one of them maybe even live a normal 'human' life like everyone else, without the district? Or is there something constraining them from that?

-Say if C was about to take place, and after a person was informed of that, they decided to go on a plane and travel to a different country/continent in an attempt to escape C- Would that work??? Could they just...Completely avoid being wiped from existence by going somewhere different????

-Okay I KNOW this is probably very unlikely in the world of C Control, but what would happen if someone with supernatural powers entered the district? Would they be able to use their abilities during deals, or would that be considered cheating?

-Follow up for the previous question, could an entre use outside weapons in deals? Like a gun, for example? Or would that, again, be considered cheating?

-Finally- What exactly happened at the end of the show? I've heard people say that Kimimaro sold his future(and therefore no longer has the future he would've gotten), and I'm willing to go with that theory- But I'm still a bit unsure 🤔

ㅤIt was done deliberately. Entirely on purpose, and also shamelessly so. Because he could, and that ought to be reason good enough; because there were few sights as enticing [as arousing] as the fire that shimmered along his lover's emerald-green irises whenever overwhelmed by a sense of pure possessiveness. Uchihas were born to play with fire, after all; to flirt with flames whilst ever-ready to accept/welcome/indulge burns in the process. The heart wanted what it wanted and, sometimes, it wanted to provoke and to test patience till well-deserved punishment was to ensue.

ㅤLong story sort, it wasn't Itachi's first time using his genjutsu talents for less orthodox purposes, and certainly it wouldn't be the last. Whether Kimimaro remained blissfully unaware or had figured out the trick but chose to play along for mutual benefit, it was up for debate and didn't truly matter. The poor unfortunate soul chosen for the occasion, whose only sin had been to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, approached and, credit where it was due, did their best to struck up a conversation rich in sultry looks and flirtatious little giggles - ah, if only Itachi was interested.

But there was no need to wait much longer.

ㅤKeeping his pace deliberately slow as he made way through the semi-hectic farmer's market of this modest town, human puppet playing to the role and following him from very close, it was a matter of minutes. Suddenly there was no other person to be found anymore and, just as suddenly, there was a tight grip on the side of his arm directing him to the much less crowded alleyway nearby. That and his back practically thrown against the dirty wall of one of the buildings, with lips clashing against his own with such fury that one might think Kimimaro was trying to suck his soul through the mouth; should he truly wish to, Itachi would have gladly let him. Eventually granted a moment to breathe again, own lips now swollen from the delicious abuse, he brought a hand up to cup his lover's cheek while leaning in to press their foreheads together - words to be spoken next in a tone as husky as it was teasing.

Kimimaro knocks on the door to Juugo’s cell. “Juugo? It’s me. I have some free time and I thought you might like to take a walk.”

"Kimimaro." Juugo whispered softly, standing from the shadow of the cell and walking by the door. Furrowing eyebrows in doubt, he opened the door slightly as he peeked to the outside. "Is everyone back at their cell? Is anyone out there besides you?" As much he would love to go out, the worry about other's safety was bigger than his wishes.

Isn't he cruel enough of what he did to poor Kimimaro? Especially when Orochimaru of all people actually called him out for it? XD

To be honest, if you ignore the fillers and that Power Filler Arc, Kabuto can be quite the bully to the people he works with. And he often is shown to also be sarcastic and a bit rude to Orochimaru as well, though just like Sasuke. Orochimaru lets him get away with it to some extent.

So it's not that he's any less cruel as him already working for Orochimaru and doing most of the dirty work like healing his victims so that they can only get experimented again and using Orochimaru's crueler jutsus on his targets.

But if you ask me, I think he's more petty and unnecessarily mean than he has to be. There's even this hilarious panel of Orochimaru telling Kabuto to calm down!

I didn't pass my driving test, so now I have to spend time and money and figure out how to schedule a 4-hour class and 4 hours with an instructor (bc I'm over 18, it's mandated that if you fail your test and haven't had lessons in the past 12 months, you have to do that before trying again)

so I'm depresso about that, but I'll get it straightened... hopefully before my permit runs out in mid July so I don't have to get it for the millionth time ;-;

Shion, my beloved; the androgynous sub-boss of King of Fighters XI, he uses multiple weapons including a rope-dart, chinese spear, meteor hammer, and can punch air so hard it turns into a projectile. he often quotes Sun Tzu's Art of War, knows tons about cooking, and loves eating delicacies. currently wandering some kind of weird extradimensional space after his boss tried to kill him (he got revenge tho >:3 he can have little a murder, as a treat.)

Sabrina/Natsume (left) in the Pokemon anime had psychic powers so strong she splintered her personality into a grown-up half and a child half, both of which were able to exercise their own wills independently (the latter via a doll). she was scary, but eventually became more lighthearted and rejoined her split halves thanks to a goofy Haunter.

Duo Maxwell (center) is many things: orphan, gifted mechanic, and self-proclaimed God of Death--which is why he's the pilot of the Deathscythe, a grim-reaper-esque mecha. he witnessed a lot of death early in life, to the point that even his first and last names connect him to people close to him who died

Makoto/Lita Kino (right) is Sailor Jupiter; she's strong, tall, tomboyish, and self-sufficient after the loss of her parents. Her lightning attacks are powerful, but her sense of justice is even more so. She has a cute side, too, and gets flustered when someone calls her feminine. >:3

Cho Hakkai (left), problematic fave #1. the mom friend, and a stepford smiler who took a correspondence course in lockpicking, he's atoning for incest and mass-murder by....doing more mass-murder, but the gods told him it was cool this time. to be fair, he's mostly a healer now, as well as the party's designated driver (his dragon, named Jeep, turns into a Jeep).

Yuuko Ichihara (right) is a space-time witch who grants wishes. i want to say more but instead i'll just plead with you to read the xxxHolic manga (and read/watch Tsubasa -RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE- for the full experience, since they have some story linkage).

Count D gets two images for a little gallery because look at this freak. gorgeous. the way they move in the OVA is fantastic. genderless sugar-addicted ecoterrorist; what's not to love??

Vincent Valentine (left) is a gunslinger who can transform into a fanged monster and chooses to sleep off his depression in a coffin, but he's not a vampire. that's just how it is sometimes. he even joins the hero party without doing anything to fix his bed hair.

Kimimaro (center) has a bloodline ability that lets him utilize his bones as weapons. As a child, he was kept in a cage and only released for combat, despite his gentle nature. Orochimaru (the series' first main antagonist) found him after his clan was wiped out, and took him in; being valued by Orochimaru gave him purpose, and he fights like a zealot as a result... (;A;)

Alphys (right) is a cringefail otaku lesbian lizard who, nevertheless, is a brilliant scientist. she created Mettaton's mechanical body, after all. we don't need to talk about her other works. :) really. :) :) :)

I mean, Kimimaro’s dying of an incurable disease, which just makes it better, because yeah, he’s probably been there, wishing he could just stop and take meds halfway through a fight, but because of how he grew up, asking so boldly like that wouldn’t of even occurred to him.

So he’s just like “oh. Well said, I guess.” And just quietly observes while processing this information.

It's not the first time he's been asked something like that, with the mild implication that what he says is absurd and unnatural. Kimimaro is aware of how off-putting he can be, though that's never bothered him before. Not that it does now, far from that, he's not one to care about social etiquette regardless of whom his loyalty is given to – the difference now is that he wishes to understand what is so wrong about his words. Of course, the subject of Orochimaru was a sensitive one considering both his and Sasuke's past with the man, but did he make it sound like he was, like the Uchiha's so kindly put on different occasions prior, making up excuses for the Sage? That wasn't his intention, even if Kimimaro still couldn't fully understand what the problem was – what had been Orochimaru's sin. With a shallow sigh, the Kaguya dropped his gaze to the hands on his lap, frustrated. He's not stupid. He can see how everything that had been done to him and other people was bad – but he fails to see why Sasuke and others couldn't accept Orochimaru's reasons as good enough. The whole 'gray area' or selfish nuances– went completely over his head. Kimimaro only knows how to survive, he's a simple man like that. He still doesn't understand what he's trying to accomplish by staying with Sasuke, let alone why he's allowed to.   “ I don't understand why you're upset. ”

There's a whole arm sticking out of the cell's door, Juugo's body is fully covered in black marks. Thankfully those cement and iron walls are sturdy enough to contain him. He looks at the trashing arm waving about and clawing at the sides from Juugo's door cell with a indifferent stare, already he can tell that they are losing control again, thank god that they found the right cement and iron to contain them.

"And I'm sure that Kimimaro would love to see you in person Juugo. But we'll see how they're doing well physically so that they can come see you." He looks down at the wooden tablet sheets of paper and he thinks of an idea, since even Kabuto has his moments of sharing his kindness towards people, even to his enemies.

"There's some sheets of paper and a pen with me. Why don't you write them a birthday letter for them? I'm sure that they would appreciate the kind gesture."
