okay, i’m not saying everyone needs to go read this specific chapter about coral…but everyone needs to go read this specific chapter about coral.

for mizzen- i really think she would hold back on telling him that, at least before the games. but i do have a mizzen-lives-au headcanon that she tells him about it after the games when he’s struggling to cope with what he did to survive.

i think in that scenario, he would actually find a lot of comfort in hearing that from persephone. it would help him feel less alone and less like a monster because if persephone, who has showed him so much kindness, did that to survive then surely what he did doesn’t doom him to be a monster forever?

i think for most of the rest of the tributes that don’t know her- they would react with horror and judgement. it would reaffirm their beliefs that the capitol people are all soul-less monsters.

ok so about my kakapo slugcat!!

Really its just my kakapo sona but as a slugcat because I got into rw but I do have a little campaign idea for them! So first off, its abilities! It would be able to glide, kinda like real kakapos, climb up really tall vertical walls and be able to track things with a strong smelling ability, and it would also be able to blend into greener backgrounds when hunted.

It would be also friendly and curious, with a higher reputation among scavengers but other creatures would be more likely to go after it. It would be nocturnal, coming out at night time and be completely vegetarian, with a small amount of food pips needing to be filled. It would be fat like the gourmand but able to run faster because of its strong legs and able to store a large amount of food pips.

Now for what kind of region it lives in! My idea for now, was that it would live in a region based on kauri forests like in nz, with tall trees and other nz based foods that you could eat. There might other regions, like a more mountainous one with snowfall or something.

I would totally mod this if I could but I dunno how to code haha maybe one day though.

that’s all I’ve been able to think of right now, I might have more ideas later, if it’s a bit long and rambling, sorry! It’s just sorta the first time I’ve put these ideas to words so I’m not 100% sure how to word it correctly, anyway hope you like what I have to say on it and also SUPER SORRY FOR TAKING FOREVER I’ve just been distracted and procrastinating but I finally did this so here you go ^_^

Her communicator was wrapped around her left wrist, a bright white light shined on its small rectangular screen. 'Atomic Betty, are you almost to the ship? Please, hurry!' A static voice was heard from the communicator, causing the redhead to slowly close her eyes. Double crap.

Slowly, her eyes opened as she pulled her wrist towards her face; her finger pressed on the small button on her communicator. "Atomic Betty, speaking - just give me a minute, Sparky." Her gaze remained on Lestat as she spoke. How the heck was she suppose to explain this to him? Better yet, would he actually keep this a secret? No one could know - Heck, not even her parents knew.

wait. wait. wait. ive been staring at ur latest comic for awhile now and i think i've noticed something about the colors? which are amazing, first of all- just gotta get that out there cuz i adore that soft pink and deep green combo

but i just realized that throughout most of the comic u use both in equal parts it seems. to separate bg + fg and such, to highlight characters/objects, etc.

but then when vash gets back to their room, all the walls are that dark green. and, bit by bit, the pink totally falls off. by the end, it's nothing but constant dark green as vash starts to cry

but then wolfwood slams in and he's backed by that soft pink. and suddenly the comic is nothing BUT pink. soft lines and whites and gentle pink tones EVERYWHERE to just. SO tastefully highlight the little details.

LIKE. WAS THIS INTENTIONAL?! i almost wanna guess that it wasn't since all those green panels w vash crying are all closeups focused on his expression so it makes sense to just put the simple green behind it and all attention on him so the pink just isn't Needed

BUT AT THE SAME TIME THE EFFECT IS SO MASTERFUL THAT I WANNA BELIEVE IT WAS ABSOLUTELY INTENTIONAL

HEHE..... first of all, thank you for looking at my comic so closely, THAT'S LIKE... REALLY SWEET and a huge compliment to hear, thank u thank u

and yes, it was intentional, especially more towards the end!!! in general, the colors are meant to serve as a mood indicator, so a balance of them in a scene would just mean a neutral "okay-ness" and have a functional serve to separate background / foreground / subject matter... deep green signifies introspection or incoming sadness (especially on pg5 when vash cries), and pink signifies wolfwood, which, not an emotion but he is happiness, someone that helps vash lose his doubts in a matter of seconds -- which is why those last few pages are just pink white and lines, and the panels are gone for the majority of it. i wanted to show their unity and togetherness!

while vash still has his issues of just Not saying anything about his loneliness, his feelings are alleviated temporarily with wolfwood's presence and he's just grateful that his paranoia didn't become true, and that wolfwood is genuine, true to his word, when he means he'll be following vash/staying with him. even though it's mission-bound, vash would probably still feel guiltily comforted by that fact.

I'M GLAD IT WAS PARTICULARLY EFFECTIVE IN THIS COMIC because i definitely could've pushed it more... i figured it was a minor thing that not a lot of ppl would care for, but more ppl enjoyed it and noticed the colors than i thought, so i'm glad it worked out!!!

Has Copperhead's eyesight changed at all as his mutation has progressed?

While Copperhead lost the ability to close his eyes, his sight improved significantly, making him able to perceive his surroundings much more clearly in low levels of light than ordinary humans can. Not only that but the cones in his eyes are much more receptive to colours in these conditions - snakes aren't renowned for having great eyesight but Copperhead is built different, quite literally since even in near total darkness, he can perceive blue and green when most other nocturnal creatures are limited to black and white! His eyes are also great at handling UV lighting, be it high levels during the day or low, low levels at night? Copperhead is comfortable operating at either time of day, even when living in sunny places like his native state of Arizona but rapid changes can and will cause temporary blindness since Copperhead cannot close his eyes against sudden flashes. This temporary state of blindness hinders him less than you'd expect; he goes through this during shedding periods, eyes filming up and glazing over when his skin is preparing to renew but getting flashbanged hurts and will almost certainly piss him off. During the day, he can see about as well as a human with perfect eyesight and very good ability to track moving objects, therefore responding much more quickly due to his Metahuman capabilities but it's at night when his abilities truly comes into play, making him a much more formidable hunter when others are stumbling around blind in the dark.

1. i'm about to start my sixth (!!!) year of teaching english. last year was considered my first "normal year" because i had my first year where i didn't know anything and then covid happened my second, and last year was the first year with full events and normalcy going on.

2. my adhd operates where i will either excel at doing everything at once in lightning speed ( to where it's fucking notable by others ) or to where i excel at doing absolutely nothing. no inbetween.

3. my mom put me in a beauty pageant one time when i was like three or four and didn't know i had to have a talent prepared. my toddler ass sang the whole theme song of the brady bunch on the spot. a theatre kid was born.

here r some incoherent tribute thoughts from my modern au fic that im writing

- tanner and brandy both own horses, brandy's horse is called chestnut and tanner's horse is called leo

- tanner is also an instructor at his stable and tries to teach treech (omg teach treech??) how to ride horses but treech is terrified of them and can't stop sneezing

- lami also has a horse (called goldie) but goes to a different stable, tanner immediately beefs her bc of this

- sheaf goes to the same stable as them since she also has a horse and does showjumping, her horses name is mabel

- treech is lowk scared of sheaf

(sorry for all the horse related lore can u tell i do horse riding)

- coral and tanner are flatmates (britain warning)/roommates and coral wants to dye her hair (even more red) and tanner's like "yeah i can do it" and he screws it up SO BAD and coral has a go at him for the next hour

- sol does all of coral's ear piercings bc shes professional

- lucy gray orders the same thing everyday at the café coral works at, they both have giant crushes on eachother and lg's order is the only one that coral can memorise, but coral thinks lg only comes to the café because she really loves mocha (told this one to v so u may recognise it!!)

- coral does treech's eyeliner

- lamina makes hand painted pottery!!

🖋️ + Who's A Good Boy?

send a title of one of my fics + the fountain pen emoji and I will tell you about the 'behind the scenes' of the fic, any alternate titles or endings I considered, etc.

oh my gosh, who's a good boy was SO fun to write! a behind the scenes moment is that the picture of the collar I found for the post was perfect except for a name on the little silver heart (I think it said Princess but I don't remember) and I was like uhhh no he's not being called princess haha so I edited the photo and airbrushed it out... it was kind of a ton of work for a small detail like that but I'm a bit of a perfectionist haha

I don't remember if I ever had any alternate endings planned but I do remember this fic had a typo in it for like months that said ralph fucked the pillow under his arm instead of that he tucked it under his arm... humiliating lol I hate when that happens but it's my own fault for not proofreading!!

this fic did way better than I expected and possibly got more people into pet/puppy play! I was really happy with the reception, ralph is so fun to write because of his strong personality and this felt like the perfect way to explore that.

Aaaah 🤩 Snape’s Worst Memory! I wanted so much to write the version of that scene if Lily and James' places were switched, and James was the one that had been Snape’s friends all along.

In fact, the fic was supposed to end right after this scene, but then James&Lily’s relationship changed a lot while I tried to make sense of who was Lily if she had befriended Sirius... and then you got those extra chapters!
