Yoruichi's eyes momentarily followed the cup of tea as it was set down. Something about the move struck her as oddly mature—she couldn't say exactly what in the instant, it just felt like a very corporate or even diplomatic motion.
As her gaze returned to Miorine's face, she consciously put it together: it was a polite sign of paying full attention. How refined. She took it as a cue and set her own cup aside, shifting to make herself more comfortable as she gave her full focus to what followed.
The answer she received kind of surprised her! No specific place?
If she'd been forced to guess, she'd have supposed that it'd be somewhere important to Miorine's mother, or more generally some place of ancestral significance, probably on her mother's side... 'the old country' in some sense of the phrase. To hear it was instead nowhere, everywhere... wherever she could make a difference...
How intriguing! She was once again accosted by a certain nagging feeling of recognition: it wasn't exactly the same, but something similar and adjacent had motivated her own travels... She'd felt an imperative need to try and make things right, to do right by herself and the people she encountered...
Miorine turned matters toward Yoruichi then, which yielded a raise of the latter's brows, along with a slowly growing smile. The use of the contraction 'legit' instead of the full 'legitimate' caused her to gently laugh, as it broke that decorous air from the start of this particular topic.
"It almost sounds like you want a tour guide to suggest places to start and lead the way," she mildly teased. "If you're that motivated and interested, I don't mind talking about what I know, though it'll be easier to get into all that after tomorrow."
She picked up her tea and took another sip before noticing the waiter was coming their way with a tray loaded with a lot of dishes. She'd just set her cup back down and aside when the four curries, kofta, and naan were being laid out before them. After their server had departed, she gave a playful clap of her hands. "Finally! Smells good, right~? Try your kofta first, then at your own pace these two, and that one," she advised, gesturing to the two chicken dishes and then the saag.

As she said that, she tore off a piece of naan and went right for the korma, just dipping the bread in the curry before nomming it and humming in delight!
Every single continent? Not that was truly a feat if so. But then again, with her job and position, it would make sense to have that ability and time to travel. At least, that's what she was assuming so far. Everything seemed tied to Yoruichi's past and her skills, though that could be said about anyone. Past experiences are what shaped them into the people they are today, regardless of how cliché that may sound.
Miorine wasn't intending to be suspicious of Yoruichi, not after everything they spoke about and how they got to that point, but maybe it was better titled as interest. The young girl wanted to know and learn more about her, given the main reason for their current trip and how everything else has turned out.
When it was her turn to speak, Miorine gently placed her cup back onto the table.

"There's no exact location for me to go, honestly. Nothing ever came to mind, I merely wished to go see Earth. That was a foolish idea, simply because I knew it could be dangerous and yet I didn't want to listen. I wouldn't know where to go, not as if I knew anyone from Earth either. I simply wanted to get away."
And they all originated from the planet, wouldn't it be something to travel back and learn more about their roots, and understand the reasoning of why the ones left behind feel so much resentment for Spacians? Though of course she knew the political reasons, but what about the emotional cost?
"Even if my plan to escape to Earth, to run away, have stopped or changed, I still do wish to visit the planet. I want to see it all with my own eyes, to help make a difference there in someone's life, and I hope to do just that." She focused back on Yoruichi.
"Your knowledge is interesting to me on that front. I'd try and study it myself regardless, but it's a different feeling altogether when you're able to hear it from someone who's experienced it first hand." Though Miorine imagined it was something akin to war stories.
"If you don't wish to share, that's fine as well, since I can understand there could be some baggage attached. Just know that my interest in the planet is legit."
