this thought has been rattling around in my brain and i need to get it out:

one of dipper’s favorite/comfort scifi movies is back to the future. its always been, since age 10 when he found an old VHS copy of the movie at his grandpa shermie’s place. its part of the reason why he wears that blue vest, like marty mcfly.

dipper gets a newfound perspective on it when he watches it for the first time in gravity falls. the first time he watches it again after his relationship with stan evolves? and ford comes back? he is a WRECK. he’s the one who shows it to ford, too.

he also definitely BEGS ford if they can go as doc & marty for summerween one year, too.

parts one and three are his faves. cuz what boy doesn’t love cowboys??
