Trunks took some pride. I his postin as Gotens best friend even if he kind of wished they were so much more than that, but eh Goten liked valese and maybe even Mai? Well, Trunks had no idea he was wrong on all of that. So far, wrong, he wasn't even near the mark on how wrong he was. But he could at least notice something seemed to be going on with Goten lately.

He just seemed so off lately? Even with all the failed dates with Valese, he seemed so fidgety, too. Yeah, guy could never stay still for long and was as bad as Trunks when it came to getting into a good match and whatnot. Blame the sayin blood they both had on that part. Which was a big part of why they likely got alone so well. They were both hybrids so they could understand each other well enough.

So why could he not fucking understand what was up with Goten lately! He was all over the place lately, saying he wanted to talk only to chicken out. Getting all gaga over Valese, which annoyed Trunks most okay fine, he was jealous! No fucking way he would say it out loud though..sides he did say he would support Goten if that'd whi made him happy. Mmm, maybe they had a fight? Gotten didn’t seem like they wanted to admit what was up but well Trunks was all out of his little bit of patience, hand grabbing on to their shoulder as he tuned them to look his way.

"Okay what the fuck is up with you lately?!? You are all over the damn place you say you wanna hang out then fucking bail, your always off with Valese.” He hoped his jealous when saying her name didn’t come out to much hoping the raised tone would be enough to cover that at least. “Which I get you like her but then you ask about Mai? And look I’m just trying to figure out what your fucking deal is here. Cause it’s getting old fast o why don’t fucking spit it out!”

That shut Trunks up that as for sure, face was fast to take on a nice shade of red as he blushed deeply from the sudden confession. Just staring at his friend in a moment of silence he was stunned Goten loves him? Like love loves him? He managed to take back control of his mind as he gave a firm shake of his head as if the motion would help the cells to start turning on in his head. “Wait..Wait not what holdup what do you mean you love me?! you’re with Valese aren’t you?” He started to question that was the case wasn’t it? “Wait when you asked about Mai and I? It was because of me no not her?” He presses on suddenly. Trunks was a mix of emotions right his mind a whirlwind of different thoughts. Setting hands to the side of his head as he felt dizzy trying to get everything to line up and make sense.

“When?!” He suddenly yells out, frowning annoyed over this “When did you figure it out?! Because I’ve been in love with you for so long but you were with Valese I thought and I was happy for you if you were happy so when?! When did that change! You can’t just do this to me Goten!” Slamming Hans in against his eyes a moment “Fuck! I mean I love you too but dude you could have told me! You should have sooner!." Excitment seemed a lot like anger he might be more like his dad than he thought.

Trunks didn't get to know his dad, he died before he ever could truly get to spend time with them. Though he sometimes go to at least when he would travel to the other timeline. Leaning back to relax in the moment as he smiled a little to himself. That was his one regret he guessed least things could maybe be better now in this timeline? in his timeline? he had a little bit of hope because next to him was Goten. As kids no matter how bad it all seemed Trunks could be fearless because he hand them right next to his side. That just where they both belong right? next to each other?

"What about you? any regrets?" he asked maybe this was a bit of a morbid conversation but hell with everything they had gone through maybe it was okay to talk like this?

“My only regret? Is not telling you I loved you sooner.”

Trunk blushed a little at that admission, yeah he could agree with it of course, "i don't think I would have taken your confession well." he admits quietly "not with..everything else going on you know?" he tries to at least explain but then again? he hummed a bit in thought about it. "maybe it wasn't meant to be then? I mean yeah I wish I knew sooner but...for while there? I only cared about stopping Cell and the androids...I don't think I would have been all that good to you ya know?"

Moving to sit up as he looks at Goten a moment offering a slight smile their way. "Besides I might had just been a dick and pushed you away if you had told me sooner. And I wouldn't have you now. Knowing you were still there without feeling like I was just..the worst to you? uh I don't know how to explain what I mean just I had my mind on one thing and one thing only I would die to make it happen..I don't know if I could have gone where I needed to if I knew in the back of my mind that you loved me you know? Because not telling you was what made me to stubborn to die. I had to tell you. I refused to die without you knowing that." His face grows a bit more red that sounded a bit..stupid out loud. "just I mean...I just feel thing happen when they do because that's when they should?" covering his face now "Okay i thought I had something cool to say and now I think I just sound stupid can we pretend I didn't say anything just now?"

"Trunks?" There's an uncomfortable pause, Goten rubbing his arm awkwardly. "You - there's nothing going on between you & Mai, is there?" ( uwu before they get together :'3 Goten/Trunks )

Trunks knew when he liked girls it was when he saw Mai from the future her long hair, and round face the shape of her eyes. It was enough to flustered him alone. Trunks knew when he liked boys was when suddenly starting at Goten turned into lingering glances. Touches are unnecessary being done. His shoulder, or holding on to his arm. When receiving a message from Goten, would fill him with so much serotonin he couldn't explain the smile thar showed from seeing thier name on the screen.

Okay, well, maybe more of that was because he had feelings for Goten past attraction. Goten was his best friend they trained together, they fought together heck litteraly because they master fusion at a younge age. Goten and him? Well, it made sense if they were together, then everything was okay. If it weren't for valese, Trunk would have admitted how he felt. He was certain their friendship wouldn't be ruined. Even if Goten rejected him. He might be prideful like his father, but he wouldn't let thar get in the way....guess thats why he also never spoke up about his feelings with valese in the picture. If Goten liked her and she made him happy?

At least he could at least hang around Mai from time to time and let him get his mind of Goten. Well, not really, he did enjoy her company none the less. Made him feel less, eh lonely, he guesses. Waving bye to her once he got home, but his face brightened the moment he saw Goten waiting for him.

"Goten! Why didn't you tell you were here? I coulda come sooner!" He says slightly, jogging over towards his friend. Cursing his heart for how it literally skipped a beat sudden when seeing them.

"Trunks?"

"Hmm yeah?" Trunks asks when Goten hadn't followed up with much else yet. Assuming thar was the question being asked just now.

"You - there's nothing going on between you & Mai, is there?"

He just arches a brow and sets shis hands to his hips, tilting his head to the side as he fixed Goten with a look. "Like what dating?" He asks as if it was unclear what they could mean? "I mean, she's pretty, I guess, and I like hanging out with her sometimes, but we ain't like a thing." Suddebly, he smirks and leans over to nudge his friend a little."Why jealous?" When he said it, he meant it towards Mai. Trunks only was aware Goten liking girls least he assumed as such if he were honest based off Valese. Maybe he was crushing on Mai? Trunks didn't like that but hey he was Goten's friend right?

Throwing an arm around Goten's shoulders now as he just chuckled a bit to himself "man Goten don't you already have Valese? Eyeing Mai now too, uh? What would your mom say about that?" He was purely teasing and far off the mark on who Goten was even jealous towards here. "I mean, I guess I could put in a good word for you still if you want, but ya know, don't go two timing or anything, alright? I won't help you out in th a t situation no why in hell." Laughing more fully just hazing his friend here. "Come on let's go hang out I'm up for some time with my best friend."

"H-hey, Trunks? I just wanna know something." A momentary pause as Goten quietly goes over his words. He doesn't wanna screw this up. "What would you say if I ——— Oh, hang on." Picks up his cell phone, heart thumping loudly in his chest.

"What? Oh, yeah, we're still on tonight!" Good, now maybe I won't have to embarrass myself. "Alright, see you then!" He hangs up, smiling like a fool. " Wait - what was I saying?" ( uwu -offers you an idiot- Goten/Trunks :'3 )

“H-hey, trunks? I just wanna know something.”

“Hmm what’ up Goten?” Trunks asked as he turned to the side to looked at his friend, they had met up for an early jog after all these years and the two of them still just loved training together no one pushed him harder then Goten to get stronger. Kind of like thier dads just with less hate between them. Nah Trunks could work along with Goten after all hell they were able to fuse an become one since they were kids they have always just, had something between them. Goten motives him in different ways. Its not like his dad with Gotens dad nah sure they could be rivals but hmm that just not it.

So lost in thought well they we sitting on the grass watch the sun rise slowly breaking through clouds, he was happy to take the distraction if conversation from his own mind. Expect they went quite for a moment he jjst fixed them with a confused Starr, moving to set his cheek to the back of his hand. "You gonna talk or we having a staring contest now?"

"What would you say if I ——— Oh, hang on."

"What? You can't just start off like and then leave me hanging!" Trunks near shouted in return. Pouting a bit he waits as they go about thier phone call rolling his eyes as he gose back to looking at the sun rise, well curious over who they were speaking to in the first place.

"What? Oh, yeah, we're still on tonight!"

Hmm must be another date then, why did thar always give him such a twist in his stomach? Slightly biting his bottom lip as Goten kept on talking oh sure he had no issue talking now. He blew out a breath letting the puff of air make his bangs fly up a moment. Setting his chin to his knees and arms moved to hug around them.

"Alright, see you then!"

Yeah seems like his guess was likely ture then with no real evendeince to tell him otherwise.

" Wait - what was I saying?"

"How would I know? You're the one who starting talking then answered your stupid phone before telling me a single thing." There was a bit of harshness to his tone before he sighed "forget it we should get going anyway." Moving to stand as he paused to dust off the grass from his pant legs, turning around to make his way back up the hill they were sitting on. All done with out glancing at Goten clearly mood soured now as he jogged up to make the trip to the top faster. He paused once there he wasn't sure why he was letting it bother him so much its not a big deal.

"Come on slow poke or ill beat you again!" He called over his shoulder waiting for them to get back into with him.
