Personal work inspired by greatest writer ever aka Ursula K. Le Guin's short story Winter's King. You can find it in The Wind's Twelve Quarters, it's set in the same world as The Left Hand of Darkness and it's... well, brilliant, like pretty much all her writing.

“Thus, although the best known picture is that dark image of a young king standing above an old king who lies dead in a corridor lit only by mirror-reflections of a burning city, set it aside for a while.”

And then, as she often does, proceeds to break your heart.

At first, I wanted to make 3-4 illustrations for this story, but found a way to put all scenes into a single piece. And I believe that actually works better, given the cyclic nature of the story.

I'm not done illustrating Gethen. Genly Ai and Therem Harth rem ir Estraven: you are next. Once I finish the commissions I'm working on and have the time and energy for personal art, that is.

its hard to answer because since he doesnt play popular games to avoid spoilers, we know that he probably doesnt play anything that the characters are from.. (smash obviously doesnt count cuz theres not a story to care about being spoiled for)

i know for a FACT (the little voice in my head told me) that kaido mains link and is a BIG zelda fan

the group probably all play together and all have mains that are like from their favorite game or something they like and saiki just ends up picking kirby because "hes pink like me."

its either that or the animal crossing default boy villager because "he looks the most normal" and also animal crossing is a game he might actually play

Soooo this big story I worked on in and out for few years, which is in full on production hell.

I now need somehow to turn 74 pages of disjointed notes on characters, plot, setting, world building into something cohesive I can work with.

That just random notes. I don't count in pages of character profiles I also need to redo, world building and setting files I wrote down which I also need rewrite to fit new path.

Oh well, that bish not gonna write herself. Time to roll up sleeves and some gnarly prep job at comfortable pace.

I tried to start write manuscript 2 or three times and always something got in a way or felt wrong. Don't think it's gonna be the case now. Unless I get distracted by smut (though maybe in that case I just write AU smut with characters from a story to still feel kinda connected)
