Black history is not slavery
To my black brothers and sisters in America
There’s more to your heritage than slavery
Today I will be talking about
The Local Government Area comprises the Ekpeyes (Ubies and Ibuduyas), Engenni and Ogbogolo communities. Thus there are three distinct languages namely Ekpeye, Engenni and Ogbogolo. The Orashi River criss-crosses the entire Local Government area and its vegetation is mainly a high dense rain forest. Thus the occupations of the people are mainly farming, fishing, and hunting.[citation needed] the Local Government Area is bounded by Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area, Abua/Odua Local Government Area, Ahoada East Local Government Area on the east we have Besini and Yenagoa both of Bayelsa State on the North and West respectively. The boundary between Rivers and Bayelsa states from the west is located at Engenni.
the Ogwu Ekpeye Festival is celebrated before the new yam is consumed and held in great respect and celebrated with fun fair amidst cultural displays, folk lores, visitation among other traditional rites annually.
As the tradition demands Igbu Ubie kingdom is the custodian of the culture and traditions of Ekpeye Ethnic Nationality as the ancestral home of the Ekpeye people. Therefore, our duty is to maintain the status quo by imbibing and encouraging peaceful co-exitence among our people and to uphold the Ekpeye customs and traditions with love, unity and sincerity, I will not be a party to destroy Ekpeye customs and tradition and also advise my colleagues to embrace the path of peace.
Keeping to my prayers above, on behalf of myself, Owhor holders, Ubie Council of Elders, Igbu Ubie council of traditional rulers and Chiefs and the good people of Igbu Ubie kingdom, both Home and in Diaspora. I wish to announce / proclaim the Celebration of Ogwu Ekpeye ( New Yaw at Ula Ubie town the ancestral home of Ekpeye Ethnic Nationality today
Prior to the date, the folk lore night shall hold on 17th September, while the fixing of palm 🌴 fronds (UWA-OK OMU) for the spiritual cleansing across all communities shall commence on 18th September, festival day (IZI OGWU)
Most importantly, Ekpeye people are cautioned to avoid stealing, fighting, kidnapping, cultic activities and other social vices, as those who shall practice such, shall not live to meet another year festival, as announced by the deities.

The History of Swingo, Part 12: Left On Read
This section will discuss the two alts that debuted 5/6 roles and juuuuuust missed out on Swingo.
Tumblr media
(Roxanne Couch performing as Katherine Howard on the West End. Photographed by @sixbyamelia on Instagram.)
Roxanne Couch was alternate Seymour/Parr in the West End 2021-22 production, after which she was promoted to principal Parr in the 22-23 cast. She was the first American actress to be involved in the West End production. Roxanne performed her second cover roles Boleyn and Howard (in the pink alt costume) fairly early in her alternate contract, and performed one show as her third cover Aragon in June of 2022. However, she never had the chance to perform as Cleves before she transitioned to a principal performer. Roxanne is currently the standby for the female principal roles in Hamilton on the West End.
Tumblr media
(Izi Maxwell performing as Anna of Cleves. Photographed by @jo_haresx on Instagram.)
Izi Maxwell was the Boleyn/Howard alternate on the 2023-24 UK tour, including two months as temporary principal Boleyn when principal Laura Dawn Pyatt was out. She also performed Boleyn twice as an emergency cover on the West End. Izi very quickly debuted Seymour, her second cover, in the orange alt costume due to the cast’s Seymour/Parr alternate Tamara Morgan being out at the beginning of the run. While she performed several shows as her other second cover Cleves and her third cover Parr, she never debuted Aragon. Izi will very soon be seen on the West End as Sophie in Mamma Mia!.

Y’all are QUICK, I was literally logging on to make a post about this. It seems like it’s Vicki Manser’s from her time on the West End back in 2019. No clue why they would have it.

This isn't choices related but what is going on with Six in the UK
If you don't want to read keep scrolling
Yesterday: Harriet Watson (Alt Seymour/Parr for 2019-2021 UK Tour Cast, Universal Super Swing 2022-2023) does an emergency cover Cleves for the matinee on the UK Tour with Izi Maxwell (current UK Tour Alt Boleyn/Howard) does a two show day as Parr (her third cover), meaning the first double Orange Alt Show.
Today:
West End:
Cancelled Matinee.
Evening Show: Meg Dixon Brasil as Aragon (Super Swing) Claudia Kariuki as Seymour (Emergency Cover, former Principal Seymour), Danielle Rose as Howard (Newly Added Alt Boleyn/Seymour/Howard). Boleyn, Cleves, and Parr are played by the principals
Uk Tour:
Matinee: Shakira Simpson as Aragon (Super Swing), Harriet Watson as Boleyn (Emergency Cover), Ellie Jane Grant as Cleves (current UK Tour Alt Aragon/Cleves), Izi Maxwell as Howard (current UK Tour Alt Boleyn/Howard). Seymour and Parr were played by Principals.
Evening: Shakira Simpson as Aragon, Izi Maxwell as Howard, Harriet Watson as Parr. Boleyn, Seymour, and Cleves are played by the principals
Also Tam (current UK Tour Alt Seymour/Parr) went on for Parr in the West End recently
And for the past couple months it doesn't seem like the orange Alts get a break from six
Leesa Tulley (former UK Tour Alt Boleyn/Howard 2022-2023, wearing the orange Alt costume for all covers now) going on for 3/6 queens (but has gone on for 4/6 in the West End in total) for many of the shows in the West End the last few months (which is less likely now with her starting rehearsals for "Why Am I So Single?")
Izi Maxwell (current UK Tour Alt Boleyn/Howard, wears orange for her 2nd and 3rd covers) did a run as Temporary Principal Boleyn and then not long after returning to Alt life, she did a cleves show (which she hadn't done since her debut almost a year ago) and did the two show day as parr (her 3rd cover)
Danielle Rose (former Alt Boleyn/Howard for both the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 West End Casts and wore orange for her 2nd and 3rd covers) is now back until September (she's wearing her costumes for B/H but is potentially wearing a black costume for Seymour since someone else is wearing her orange costume)
Hana Stewart (former Alt Seymour/Parr for the west end, wearing Orange for all covers and never went on for her their covers, has been an emergency cover many times before, was in the Broadway cast around two years ago as Alt Aragon/Seymour/Parr, never went on for S, wore a principal costume for A and went on for P once in her orange costume) is now back as a super swing in the West End till september as well, wearing orange.
Harriet Watson (former UK Tour Seymour/Parr, wearing Orange for all covers, has Emergency covered a lot, was a Universal Super Swing for a little while) is back doing emergency covers for the UK Tour (did 3 queens in 2 days, Cleves at yesterday's matinee, Boleyn at Today's matinee, and Parr at today's evening show)
It seems like Six keeps their orange Alts in the basement of the Vaudeville (where the West End production is) and pulls them out at moments notice.
