She startles a little at the question, not because she doesn't know the answer to it, but it's always a little jarring when people are so open with her about her powers. Years spent hiding had done a number on Lauren, and there's always a split second instinct to deny that she has any powers, that it must have been a trick of the light. She remembers those nights after she saved their minivan from the truck that lost control, how she stayed up until the birds started greeting the morning with her blanket pulled up over her head while she sought out any answers she could on the internet.

It's a very different world she's in now, surrounded by people who all have their own talents, and Lauren untenses and smiles at Flori. "Well, everything is made up of something, right? All those molecules floating around means there's some mass or matter to them. If something has mass, then it can be moved." She conjures a small shield with a flick of her wrists, the air around it shimmering in an otherworldly way. "My shields are just, molecules packed together so tightly that nothing can get through." She releases the pressure and the shield dissipates once more, and all looks normal again. "And moving mass creates energy. I don't really know how the rest of it works. Kinda got pulled out of school before I finished physics," she jokes.

"It's not really that special," she adds with a self-deprecating smile. "I can't really do anything but make shields. I'm not like Andy."

How do you think the season is going to end? And how season 3 will begin?

ok so let me disclaimer with this: usually I’m spot on with predictions because I’m really familiar with plot formulas. I may not be now because I’m pretty blinded by what I want to happen.

So let’s start with the basics: I don’t think IC will be destroyed. There’s no way Inner Circle would be destroyed any more than the actual Brotherhood getting destroyed by the X-Men. Because the entire premise is IC = MB and MU = X-men. 

But….. Reeva may (highly likely) lose her position and possibly die for it. In that scenario, the only people in a position to take her place would either be Polaris or the Frosts. But I have a feeling the Frosts will turn on one another (specifically, Esme against Sophie and Phoebe).

I think Turner will still be around (unfortunately). The actor is excellent, I give him props for giving a really passionate and compelling delivery BUT I still hate the character’s guts and that hate group he represents. They just feel like the KKK or something and it really disgusts me. Anyway, he might even be the ultimate super-villain in next season!

ONE WAY OR ANOTHER, I predict the Struckers will be together by the season finale. One will join the other and at this point, I’m surprisingly leaning towards Lauren joining the dark side. I know I kept saying it’d be impossible and that Andy would go back to his family but now, he has motivation (Rebecca’s victimization and death) to stay with the IC and Lauren seems to be sinking into her own darkness more and more. Which is shocking but I LOVE IT.

Season 3 will have to take on a new arc. They can’t recycle this MU vs IC, so they’ll have to introduce a new enemy or new plot that capitalizes on groups that are on the back burner this season like Sentinel Services or Morlocks

All in all, this episode was really cool! And it left us on a huge cliffhanger with Rebecca and how she’s a homicidical now if that’s even a word idk can’t English for the life of me...

No pun at all intended, but that Pietro-esque/Targaryen-esque hair REALLY went to Andy Strucker's head! He bleaches his hair white, and now he's all like "We're meant to be together, Lauren" & "I should be with Lauren" & "I just wanted to hear her voice" - OHMYGOD!!! WHAT????? Once again, X-Men feeds me well! (I mean, this show pissed me off w/ one character I love, but otherwise!) The only way to top it would be making them canon&doing it WELL (like Pietro/Wanda, but I won't cross my fingers).

I think he used too much bleach and it seeped into his brain or something, lmao. 

Seriously, though. One dye job and he’s talking like Jaime Lannister. He’s almost out-incesting the canon ships.

I love how Andy’s entire thing in episode 2 was “Lauren, Lauren, Lauren!!!”. From the dream he shared with her, failing breaking the final wall during the 1st & 2nd time bc of her, calling 2 hear her voice & that 1 mutant who followed him reporting back to IC, the Frost sisters during the 2nd test confirming Lauren is the reason & finally being honest with Reeva who probably realizes the influence Lauren has over Andy and there was that promo with her saying she can get through 2 Andy to Marcos

Lauren Lauren Lauren!!! was Andy’s entire plot for that episode. Episode 1 played it kind of light and then this one really took us for a ride, wined and dined us. 

I hope that even though Andy was able to break through the wall that he’ll still be troubled, and that Lauren’s influence will be more important than the people he is with.

Okay more Andy & Lauren news !! Natalie said on Instagram that this is a s2 quote from Lauren: “We belong together. Why else would all of this have happened? Why else would we be the way that we are?” And then Percy showed what looked like the shooting schedule on his Insta story yesterday and it said that one scene in Lorna’s room is: “Andy talks to Polaris about the Frosts’ plans on Lauren & his dreams.” That’s for episode 212 “hoMe.” They’re still sharing dreams in ep 12 !! omggg

I’m so happy that they’re still sharing dreams in episode 12!!!! And Lauren saying that is amazing. We know she’s afraid of being back with him, but it seems like she is - or maybe her dream self is - reconciled to the idea that even though they’re destructive together, their complementary powers mean they belong together. And that seems to be the message of the dreams too.

          Stubbornness was a trait that ran in their family, and Lauren kind of hated it in this moment. Andy was her baby brother. Even if the age gap between them wasn’t that large, she had taken her role as Andy’s older sister seriously ever since she had learned that she would be a big sister. In recent years, she hadn’t exactly been the best sibling, choosing to ignore him in favor of her friends and fleeting popularity, but ever since they’d gone on the run, she quickly realized that her family was the only thing they could count on, and Andy wasn’t the annoying little kid brother that she used to treat him like. As much as their parents might hate it, their powers were two sides of the same coin, and they were much more powerful together than apart. In that same vein, there were some things that only they could understand, despite the best interests of those around them. 

Her guilt surrounding Sonja’s death was difficult to grapple with. She could still feel the cold metal of the collar that they’d fitted around their necks, and the grainy image of the redhead falling after Campbell shot her. While Clarice had attempted to comfort her, Lauren continued to steep in her own emotions so it shouldn’t have surprised her that Andy sought her out. She leaned her head against his shoulder as they watched the rest of the Mutant Underground bustle around, preparing for their next upcoming battle with the people who wanted to eradicate them. “When did you get so tall?” she grumbled at him, ignoring his heartfelt statement for a moment. She stayed silent, reveling in the brief calm before the storm while it felt like everyone else whirled around like a hurricane. “I’m scared, Andy,” she said, her voice barely rising above a whisper. “What are we doing? A month ago, we were going to church and ignoring dad’s bad jokes, and now we’re what, superheroes?” Lauren shook her head with a scoff. “How are any of us supposed to go up against all of them?” More people would die, people who were counting on them, and Lauren felt sick. She didn’t know how to shoulder that kind of pressure.
