— “Halloween is soon and I’ve started getting some flowers in for the season. I hope this fall season is as nice as last year. Maybe I’ll go to a costume party even. Kind of wanna be a witch this year, dress up, have some fun. Hopefully someone throws a party and its not super crazy.”

Finally getting a little bit of baby Andromeda and some early Halloween fun. Tagging @grotesquegabby as Ama, Alex, and Harper are here uwu.
“More tea miss?”
“Why yes, thank you Moth.”
For something so small, the fairy known as Moth was surprisingly strong, lifting up a half full teapot and pouring Ula a fresh cup without spilling a drop.
It was late October and the heavens had opened, Magpie had offered to stop the rain but Ula, Atlas, and Ama had all insisted the weather was perfect. Taking their tea party to a covered patio instead of the manor’s hedge maze as originally intended. The Magician and Alex had teamed up to watch several of the kids that day as their parents organized a special Halloween surprise.
The air of the patio was damp from all the heavy rain outside, their little table set up next to a fountain filled with autumn flowers instead of water. Moth carefully tended to the tea as she had elected herself to watch the older children. “Mistress plans on something special for her show tonight. I think you will be delighted, very cool stuff.”
Ama giggled and grabbed another cookie, “So Atlas how do you like being a big brother?”
Atlas gave a tired smile, “I like Annie but she doesn’t like to go to sleep when she’s supposed to. Dad says it's because Mom ate too many sweets while she was pregnant.”
As if on cue a crash could be heard inside, Magpie rushing to pull on a boot with a wiggling Andromeda in her other arm. Bumping into a vase as she did so.
“I know, I know you’re so excited! But you have to let Aunt Pie finish getting ready.” She laughed as Andromeda giggled and kicked her legs in excitement.
Atlas gave a look as if to say “see what I mean?” Ula laughing and ruffling his hair.
Alex came to investigate with an extremely grumpy Harper strapped in a carrier. He grinned seeing Magpie’s struggle, “You all good Lady luck?”
Magpie looked up at him with an exasperated giggle, “want to trade?”
They swapped babies, Andromeda almost climbing out of the baby carrier as soon as she was placed in it. Harper was clearly happier to be in Magpie’s arms than with Alex.
“Do you need me Mistress?” Moth called out from her place at the tea table.
Magpie finally managed to pull her boot on and shook her head. “Please get the children to their seats, yes? The others will be backstage assisting.”
“Where ya want me?” Alex asked, looking down in surprise as Andromeda somehow managed to pull off the hat off his head and was now tangling her tiny fingers in his hair.
Magpie helped free the baby’s fingers and was now running her own fingers through Alex’s hair in an attempt to smooth it out. “You can sit with the children if you want, I set aside the best of the boxes for them.”
Alex raised his eyebrows with a chuckle, “whatcha doing there?”
Magpie blinked, then ruffled Alex’s hair before placing his hat back on crookedly. “Floofing the hair for good luck? I ah, have a show.
Soon they were all settled in the seats Moth had directed them to, A private box with the best view of the stage. Alex and the kids had settled there, Andromeda and Harper both in Alex’s arms.
“Look how crowded it is,” Amaranthus gasped, “even with the rainy weather!”
The lights dimmed, Magpie appearing on stage with a puff of smoke. She had a magician’s wand and with a wave the lights turned to an eerie green as dozens of ghosts rose out of the floor.
Some of the audience screamed, the kids bouncing in their seats in excitement as haunting music began, the ghosts partnering up as they danced a waltz in the air.
The show was filled with all kinds of spooky delights, skeletons that juggled their own heads, jack o'lanterns that told jokes. Magpie would offer black roses to random members of the audience that would dissolve into candy when accepted. From their box the kids watched on in delight, even Andromeda sitting still for once.
