There's something so funny but so very sad at the same time about Eliot playing any cop/"patriot" like a fiddle every time. He knows exactly what kind of patriotic mumbo jumbo is gonna get them, and he knows that because he was that soldier. He was the good soldier who fell for all that propaganda and got burned... badly

what makes Knives such a huge comfort character for me is that he's SO hurt, SO scared, SO traumatized, started out SO loved...but chose to CLOSE HIMSELF OFF FROM THE WORLD to try to cope/protect himself...caused such AWFUL pain and suffering to the one person he had left, the one person who kept coming back, OVER AND OVER AGAIN...got SO BAD and was convinced he was WAY TOO FAR GONE TO STOP......and then, he turned around. he realized he was in the wrong. and he did the only thing(s) he could at that point to try to make it right.

that is. HEART-RENDINGLY HOPEFUL and PROFOUND.

The music when Diane and Rick were throwing up together and he was holding her hair and she told him that she should "die more often iin a joking way knowing how much that means to Rick and how much pain is behind the words for Rick was absolutely beautiful. The music behind it was absolutely wretching.

This episode is an absolute work of art, I don't even know what to post.

I know that Ray has green eyes but I always hc him to have purple eyes like his mother. Ray grew up his whole life abused and hurt by his own mom who treated the other countless human children who weren't even hers with love and care. Ray having purple eyes is like super important to me because like what if he hates them and that's why he covers his eye because they remind him of Isabella's cold and calculating eyes and he doesn't want to be anything like the woman who made his life miserable and it gets worse after Norman is shipped because she has actually physicalally hurt one of his friends. When ray reunites with isabella I always hc that deep down he always wanted to fix his relationship with her and so did isabella, but she's killed before he has the chance. Her death is both slightly relieving but also depressing for him because although she hurt him a those years, she's still his biological mom.

SO IN CONCLUSION:

PROTECT RAY AT ALL COSTS

thinking about how armand was turned bc he was dying from being stabbed by a scorned grown man who was in love with him. he nearly died from rejecting unwanted advances. its such a key explicit detail of his origin that teaches him yet again that what he wants is utterly unimportant and even deadly in the face of survival. everything about his character is informed by the fact that he adapts entirely to the situation he is forced into because that's the only way he can survive. he adopts the satanic doctrine for 200 years not because he believes in it but because he knows that is the only way he'll survive and as soon as lestat arrives he knows he can abandon it. for half a millenium he believes he can't get what he wants and also survive, he has to choose one or the other. God.

How do you think Sans reacts to Papyrus’s death during the runs?

If you mean in the base game, uh... we kinda already know? If Papyrus is killed, Sans doesn't show up again until the final corridor, where he'll ask "if you have some sort of special power, isn't it your responsibility to do the right thing?"

If you answer yes (that you do have that responsibility), then he responds, without eyelights or sound font, "Then why'd you kill my brother?"

And if you answer no (you aren't responsible), you get "well, that's your viewpoint. i won't judge you for it.... You dirty brother killer."

There's also the line of description you get if you go on to have a concert with Shyren after killing Papyrus: "A hooded figure watches the commotion from afar." It replaces the line that mentions Sans selling toilet paper tickets to your concert, and of course, of all the characters with hoods in the game, he's the one who would be most concerned with tracking your actions after killing Papyrus. So, it makes the most sense to infer that this hooded figure is Sans.

So his reactions, to me at least, suggest that not only is he heartbroken, he's furious with you. But Sans isn't one for direct confrontations and shouting like Undyne is, so he watches, and I think he still tries to understand why you'd do something so horrible. But that doesn't stop him from being angry because there's no excuse for killing his brother, but sparing other monsters, that he can fathom.

I'm personally not a fan of depictions of Sans sobbing over Papyrus' dusty scarf--he just doesn't strike me as a guy whose first reaction is to cry. For my understanding of him, it makes more sense for him to go numb, initially, then save his anger for his parting shot in the last corridor. No matter what you answer, Sans gets the last word in, and it's always to remind you that you did not have to kill his brother.

So uh, yeah. that's what I think.
