About: Morgan Sinclair 💙🐋

The one and only, another OC introduction! Going with Morgan because he's the primary protagonist, so I have to lol

I will say, Morgan is a looney tunes ahh character an anvil falls on his head, then he gets run over by a train, and he gets punted into the sun,,, basically he suffers a lot so,, bear with me on this one 💀

There's a lot to cover, I'll try to be concise but I talk a lot, not even sorry.

💧 Morgan is human, oh wow! He's around,,, what, 40 years old? I always put him on the late 30s to early 40s range, whatever. But his design is based off a sperm whale, because I love them!

He's the only son on Alexander Sinclair, who is the head of the Athalassia council,,, basically a president figure, but people act like he's a god sometimes, this actually matters to the plot so,, rememeber. He was raised surrounded by luxury and influential people, but never had the chance to be his own person, he was always thought to keep up appearances and to never break "character".

Sinclair is very particular about the way he wants things to be, and raising a child was no different. Morgan was brought up to regurgitate his father's ideals and become his perfect succesor. The Sinclair's were the one's to build Athalassia, they are the reason why humans didn't get wiped out, and they also set up the platform system we'll talk about later!

To make it short: Morgan started to develop a personality after joining the Ocean Guard (which is kind of the army/police force of their world) since he made friends outside his bubble and Sinclair didn't like this! So he disposed of him, literally.

There's an inciting incident here, that includes an explosion and yes that's were he gets his scars and his cool robot arm but anyway Morgan Sinclair is DEAD. Legally, he's alive of course, but now under the name of Morgan Walsh and he's just a vet who works odd jobs in the surface.

🌊 Personality, likes, dislikes

Morgan is actually very quiet, he still shows the way he was raised in his ways. He's soft spoken, and keeps to himself for the most part, somewhat fidgety and tries to keep himself away from people and not stand out. He's gentle and very kind, but can seem out of touch sometimes and say insesitive things every once in a while.

He's also self-conscious about his looks, so often he tried to keep his head down or hide his face. It's not really on purpose, he just feels weird about it.

Around people he's more comfortable he falls back more into his old self, more confident, outspoken and even aggressive, especially when it comes to his father. Morgan harbors a lot of anger towards him, and does seek revenge, and he can get a bit too obsessive with that.

He's not quick to anger, except with this and anything related to his daughter(s) and such. He's very paternal too, to basically everyone that's younger than him.

He can also be very charming if necessary, bringing out the "prince" persona, as his friends call it.

Morgan likes baseball, crosswords, and "fixing things", whatever that means. He says that if he could have gone to college he would have become an engineer. He really likes mechanical stuff, maps and geography in general. He likes barbecues and hot dogs and burgers. And he loves jazz and swing and similar genres, it's his "thing", plus he's a VERY good dancer.

He doesn't have many dislikes, overall he's neutral about everything else. He does avoid crowded places and hates trains, prefers to be alone.

He acts like he doesn't but he definitely does have PTSD so he actively avoids triggers if possible (sudden loud noises, bright lights, and such).

🫧 Random stuff / Relationships

Because Morgan is a man and not Fish Jesus as Aurora is, I will just,, share stuff here I guess.

●About his arm: the robot prosthesis, oh boy! Actually, this is rare within his world. Most people don't have access to such high level tech, but this was a "gift" from his father. It is also unique as it has an internal mechanism that allows it to run with mainly ocean blood (valves and stuff, sci-fi tech), this is important as well. And it was designed by another character, shoutout to Laura.

●Family: Morgan considers Mako his only family, she's his daughter, but he doesn't like calling her that, and she avoids calling him dad. They definitely are father and daughter, but she kind of stuck herself to him like a lamprey, and they have been a duo ever since.

●Ophelia: Morgan's fianceé before his death. They never ended that thing so technically they are still engaged. Morgan only lives for Ophelia, he would never think about anyone else, and so does she. They grew up together, they knew each other very well. They can't meet for most of the story, a love that can't be,,, but will be, worry not.

●Judas: they were best friends at some point, but Judas is,,, well, Judas, so things happened. Morgan doesn't hate him, he just doesn't get it.
