i'm spitballing some verse stuff on the dash here

i think i'm gonna have feyn be a companion for datv. one thing i like to figure out for companion verses tho is where there's a gap to fill--in inquisition, there's war table missions that mention a warden "commander" but there's a whole plot point that there's no high ranking wardens left in the south. in origins, there's no dalish companion. yeah ok in da2 he kinda just lurks, but in general, i like for there to be a reason for feyn to be around.

datv already has a pretty well rounded cast. i do have feyn going to weisshaupt after inquisition, and he returns during trespasser to attend the exalted council, but after that, there's 10 years before datv.

so where does he go? what does he do?

i think the fun place to go is nevarra. and i've always wanted feyn to pick up a bit of magic as the veil weakens, and that's def a place with a weaker veil.

there's like, no canon supporting this, but i kinda want him to get a wisp-infused tattoo. the runes direct the wisp to apply an elemental spell to his arrows (or anything he wills it to).

i think i'm gonna dig more into the nevarra wiki and see what i can find there that seems like a good hook. we get a lot of the necropolis, which makes sense because it's fascinating, but there's more there and i'm intrigued.

the other possible tie-in is through tevinter, but i feel like nevarra might be the more interesting place for feyn to hide out from the first warden.
