Hiro looked back at the other person in disbelief when he heard them say that there was one more weekend left before Christmas. Was that right?

He had been pretty focused on finals and his extra shifts he picked up at the cafe to try to find an excuse to not fly home to Japan. (The latter worked, as his stepmother was traveling for work too and everyone seemed too busy to try for a traditional family gathering this year.)

"I mean, I'm not worried about presents, but you really mean that there's only this weekend, then Christmas? Where did the time go?"
