of course, this happens the one time Marty isn't watching over his laboratory. which, in this case, happens to be the garage of 1640 Riverside drive. sure, he had a dog, but all the times he's tried to train Einie as a guard dog had turned out to be less than fruitful.

he found the traps all disabled---the only other person who'd ever been smart bold enough to do that was Marty Mcfly. he'd been more impressed, than disappointed, back then. and that's how he was (mostly) feeling now---with maybe a hint of annoyance.

doc didn't bother digging the key out of the lock; he simply reached through the (broken) side door window to the door handle---wincing as he stepped through the threshold covered with glass. he caught a whiff of blue raspberry lemonade----mind immediately went racing with the thought---did i buy Marty that flavor of candy? he surveys the trap that was dismantled next to the door, letting out a tutting sound. he absently reached out to pet Einstein, the sheepdog, when he heard him pad over to him. ❝ its okay, einie. I didn't expect anyone to break in---looks like I'll have to make these a touch more difficult, hm? ❞

something catches his eye, then, as he looks up; he sees a kid, @will3nd --- must be the person who got past the traps. ❝ candy drawer is in the dresser above the dog bowl. and you're cleaning up the glass you broke. ❞
