Q, do you have a favorite martial arts movie or franchise? I’m starting to get into the genre, and was wondering if you had any recommendations? [same question applies to the Mun, as well]

I’m no expert when it comes to martial arts movies, but I’ve seen enough of them to know what I like. The fact that both Helena and Green Arrow are fans of the genre certainly helps.

My favourite would probably be Rashomon. An obvious choice, I know, but the fight scenes are terrific and I’ve always been interested in stories about unreliable eye witnesses. 

As far as franchises go, the Police Story series is a particular favourite of Arrow’s. They’re not deep or meaningful, but they have a lot of fun stunts.

Kill Bill, on the other hand, is just too ridiculous for me. I know that’s by design but I think the director might have taken it too far. Besides, it’s encouraging Helena’s revenge fantasies and I’d rather not see her relapse into that kind of behavior.
