Little moon cycle things

His senses of sight, hearing and smell are super duper heigh with some insane reflexes though his body pretty much dies after transforming and transforming back.

He doesn’t believe in dealing with things violently, but when the wolf is just beneath the skin, if the right buttons are pushed at the right time, decking someone in the jaw becomes really tempting. And if he manages to get his hands on someone, he’ll have to be pulled off.

He hyper-fixates on his condition and can’t be blamed for it!

There’s a no sex rule around the full moon. His body’s way too wrecked to handle anything and being all close and sweaty with the heart racing and all that stuff is asking for trouble.

He can’t be around raw / cooking meat or really any open wounds, in fact. The scent of the blood pulls on the wolf and Jamie can’t help but be overwhelmed with the desire to tear out the throat of whoever’s cooking it and if he’s feeling particularly hungry and there’s raw meat in the fridge, he will eat it without bothering to cook.

He becomes super aware of the movement of people / animals / things around him, mostly to do with the wolf’s instinct to chase.

And I’m sure there are heaps more but this is all I can think of for the time being.

Jamie’s way more in tune with his Indian culture on Aisha’s side than the Greek on David’s. This can mainly be attributed to the fact that her side of the family was extremely involved in his upbringing, while David flat out didn’t want Jamie to know who his side of the family was, for legitimate safety reasons.

Jamie has a short but varying list of artistic talents and ways to express himself.

He can play the guitar, prefers acoustic over electric and the first song he ever learnt how to play was Rusted Root’s Send Me On My Way.

He dances, mostly hip-hip, various Indian styles and also does Egyptian style belly dancing, usually fused it with the above in one way or another. Dancing to him is therapeutic and would do it so much more often if he had the time.

He uses poi ( ties in with his more traditional dancing styles ).

He loves to tie-dye his own clothes.

He writes, but that’s a super personal thing and he doesn’t go around showing people his journals which detail pretty much everything.

David learning that Jamie had become a werewolf ( and had been dealing with it for few years ) was a real hard thing for the both of them to face. David didn’t even believe him when he made the big reveal, as what sane person person would? It took David being dragged to the storage unit to witness a change. It scared the hell out of the guy ( and he drank it off to cope ), but after that night was done with, the two talked it out.

It took the guy a long time to wrap his head around everything and fully accept it, but David will always be there to support Jamie through whatever he’s going through and always goes out of his way to keep the garage as empty as possible if for whatever reason Jamie needs it again.

Jamie is boss as fuck when it comes to make up. He’s a theatre kid at heart and learning to apply it just comes with the territory, but he’s also had to learn to cover scars and bruises thanks to his full moon cycle. Basically, if you want any kind of make up done, he’s your boy.

The effect’s of the moon’s pull start on early on the day of and persist constantly until the change eventually happens. During that period he’s extremely quiet, distant and doesn’t appear to be all there mentally; this being a problem during school / college time as he’s usually the top of his academic game. His quietness, aloofness and not all togetherness is a great contrast to the other born wolves of the city.

His whole look is also something that’s noticeably different too; Usually he’s a jeans, plaid shirt over some sort of band tee or tank with converse or combat boots kind of guy featuring rings / arm bands and his hair down and wild, but the morning after ( and a efw days later depending on how he feels ) he wears loose track pants, a hoodie with his piercings out and his hair up in a lazy bun of some sort.

When it comes time leading up to the actual change, the first thing to physically be affected is his hands. Shakiness and numbness occur while the sun’s still up and by sunset, he can hardly hold a thing ( plastic and disposable cups / items are his best friend during that time ) and will often wriggle his fingers as a nervous habit.

Eventually, when the change actually starts, it starts off with that shaking evolving into full body trembling with super sharp and shallow breathing. He’ll generally try and make it to a fetal position on the floor, then the screaming starts as his organs shred and reshape, bones contort and whole body agonisingly shifts into the beastly shape, for a few moments there’s silence, only for those bloodcurdling screams to become growls and howls as the transformation completes itself.

As a whole, it lasts for a total of five minutes and once the sun rises it happens in reverse, but by the end of it and when he’s in human form again, he hardly has the strength or energy to speak, so he’ll end up resting his everything for an extra twenty minutes - half an hour before making any attempts to move to let himself out.

Jamie uses a satchel bag when it comes to living life outside of the apartment. He pretty much always has an A5 notebook or several plus textbooks if he’s got classes ( only wanting to take his laptop out if he really needs it ), pens, wallet, phone and a steel stake ( he lived in Sunnydale, call it a precautionary habit ). The wallet, phone and and stake are what he won’t leave his home without.

You know you’re close to Jamie when you hear him refer to his mother as “the demon bitch from hell”. With his happy front, he’s also extremely respectful to his elders, but once he gets comfortable around someone, he knows he can calm down with the constant positivity ( which is really easy to see through if you know him well enough )  and little things like that slip out / become more noticeable.

Jamie cannot handle being called ‘James’. The only person who calls him that is his mother and pretty much anything that comes from that woman’s mouth is venom to his ears and she says it in such a controlling way and it makes him super mad and the name just gets a giant nope from him.

While he feels more apathetic ( instead of terrified ) towards the supernatural world in his older years, he still holds on to, and probably forever will, an absolute aversion to other werewolves. On a deep and instinctual level, he knows that’s what the wolf part of him needs and wants, but he doesn’t want their influence to affect him and his morals / where he stands in life.

How he sees it, he doesn’t want this thing to change him more than it already has and if any other wolves reach out to him, he will try to shut it down before it even has a chance to develop.

To say that someone reminds him of his mother ( in literally any way ) is probably the most offensive thing Jamie can say to a person because of just how much he hates her and he can’t help but internally laugh over most people taking that as a compliment.

He’s all for enjoying meme music and will get down when everyone dances and sings along to those kinds of classics, but the second Tunk Tunak Tun starts playing, it’s all over for everyone because he will not hesitate to dance everyone under the table.
