How some people found out Ajay was an Emanator, explained badly

The ( only ) one who found out normally -

Crocaval: She literally just asked Aven and Ratio. This probably happened during the custody chaos. "The swarm is my friend" she knows what they are and it's not traumatized. She also probably asked because everyone assumes it's common knowledge and she wanted to let them know that the knowledge was not common for everyone ( No, this information did not help calm her nerves when she found out Ajay died!!!! )

The ones who found out from getting their asses kicked -

Boothill: The only one to find out before their story arc even began. Twas a normal heist, including see the weird kid. He didn't listen to the child when they told him to leave because something something vengeance grrr. The price he paid was a Genshin Harbinger kick straight to his stomach that sent him flying. From then on he knew they were Emanator. Crocaval still doesn't know what dented his abdomen because he refuses to admit that it was an 8 year old

Yanqing: Now in his defense, he probably would've asked had someone given him prior warning but Jing Yuan actually forgot. He and Ajay are on the same level when it comes to battle prowess so it should've been a fair sparring match. Except about 5 broken swords and a kick to the shins later proved him wrong. He learned many a lesson that day, mainly that he's not talking to Jing Yuan for the rest of the month

Sunday: Their yo-yo's got stuck on his halo and it was over for him, face meet floor. Whether or not that was on purpose because of what went down on Penacony is still in question

Luka: He fought them in the wardance, it was wraps 😔

Skott: Literally everyone beat his ass before Ajay so "do you wanna see a magic trick :3" was inevitable

Fu Xuan: Self explanatory 🥴

Jing Yuan: Also kinda self explanatory, but in a funny way. He met them when they were like 4 and fresh out of the lab, but no one had to tell him. Divine Foresight aside, the child made buzzing noises at him and almost ate a Jade abacus because it was shiny, he knew that kid was an Emanator. He then proceeded to forget for like ten years

Welt: Traumatized old man from a different world go brr or something. His "Emanator level threat" instincts went off when they hung from the Express ceiling for no reason and he had to tell Ratio to tell them to come down. He categorized them as "Emanator level child", which might be worse

Herta: Also self explanatory 🥴

The ones who found out the funny way -

Yuuki: Yeah he saw them launch a star at someone when they were kids and has been chill with that knowledge ever since. Mostly because he was a child and only questioned it when he was older, but at that point he was too use to the weirdness to really freak out about it a normal amount ( "Blows up fajitas with mind" "my fuckin fajitas-" )

Aventurine: Okay he found out the lore impactful way, but watching a 6 year old stop the Swarm from nesting and then just dealing with it is funny. He categorized this as "the day they accidentally became important at work". He is also team Forgets.

Ratio: The gremlin started summoning Stings when they didn’t want to do their homework so he started summoning pillars and patience. He acknowledged that they're an Emanator, he acknowledges their strength as an Emanator, didn’t stop him from making them do their homework though

Jenny: Someone probably told her at some point and she either ignored it or forgot. She remembered the second she watched them launch a pebble at an IPC mech at lightning speed while teaching them what vandalism was. She remembered again when the metamorphosis occurred. She keeps forgetting because of the damn ":3"

Because anyone else becoming or wanting to become a god would be narrativly funky, you becoming a god is just funny so suck it up

It's always crazy when I go "this character isn't emotional" and someone either takes it as "They can't feel emotions, therefore asshole" or "They're extremely emotional in certain situations"

Like no man, they feel emotions just not the big ones, they don't understand why they would get furious at a situation they can just walk away from, they can't feel elated because they don't feel joy to that extent but they still feel joy
