a monster falling for a human. the tragedy wrote itself, and yet, she still fell. sophie winters : a beautiful strawberry blonde girl in her class. their romance was swift and short-lived. as soon as the confession of what she was left her lips, as soon as eyes shifted from normal to cat-like, sophie reacted as any human would. she screamed. god, the scream. it would haunt aurora for years, perhaps decades. “ LOVE SUCKS ! and i’m done, so done. “ she’s kept it quiet for days, not wanting to worry her dads about their secret getting out. the glamor aurora had put on sophie’s memories was still sticking. seeing sophie’s eyes glaze over every time that she might catch aurora’s eye hurt. it hurt even more when the warlock stumbled upon sophie kissing another. it’s what prompted this outburst. hurt manifest itself into anger. the state of her room is disastrous whenever her dad makes an appearance in the doorway. books and papers coat her floor, her bed in ruins, and makeup smeared. “ i still read the stories. the fairytales & dreams, like happy ever after is something i can reach. “
