And then she's giggling, running off to the main parlor car. Hiding by one of the plants and putting her hands over her mouth. As if it'll muffle the giggles.

“Okay. One, two, three...” 

He made sure to keep slow in his counting, just to give the small girl time to find an appropriate place. And did his best to try and pretend that he couldn’t hear the little pitter-patters rather clearly and the direction they went. 

Welt was getting better at ignoring the mutations with his age. 

He at least pretended to put in some effort to look for her, peeking around each chair and under each table. And maybe taking his sweet time to sneak up before simply picking the girl up. “Ah, there you are. You had me looking a long time.”

This one isn’t canon to the fics I’ve written, it’s more its own thing; I gave a start, and I’m letting the audience decide what they want most for each segment thereafter and doing my best to work with these choices. I’m not putting a lot of thought into it either and just kind of having fun with it! The dialogue is much more stunted than I’d like it to be, but I’m more limited with comics, so I’m not taking it too seriously ^^

The reunion that I count as canon to my own works will be written eventually, it’ll be in a future fic titled I Won’t Leave You Behind… whenever I can get that one out haha ^^; (still working on it!!) That one’s going to have beta reading done on it and planning it out with those who do the beta reading, it will be much more thorough ^^
