I was playing Bloodborne...
a few hours ago and started thinking about a really horrible chemical I'd heard of, once. I couldn't quite remember the name, but google helped me out.
Chlorine Tri Fluoride
This stuff is potentially very useful for some important things. But its also REALLY good at destroying and killing everything around it, and VERY difficult to store... without it destroying and killing everything around it.
Fun stuff!
Like, it would be amazing in rocket fuel. If not for destruction and death part. I really enjoyed this bit from the wiki article:
"Rocket propellant
Chlorine trifluoride has been investigated as a high-performance storable oxidizer in rocket propellant systems. Handling concerns, however, severely limit its use. John Drury Clark summarized the difficulties:
It is, of course, extremely toxic, but that's the least of the problem. It is hypergolic with every known fuel, and so rapidly hypergolic that no ignition delay has ever been measured. It is also hypergolic(likes to explode) with such things as cloth, wood, and test engineers, not to mention asbestos, sand, and water—with which it reacts explosively. It can be kept in some of the ordinary structural metals—steel, copper, aluminum, etc.—because of the formation of a thin film of insoluble metal fluoride that protects the bulk of the metal, just as the invisible coat of oxide on aluminum keeps it from burning up in the atmosphere. If, however, this coat is melted or scrubbed off, and has no chance to reform, the operator is confronted with the problem of coping with a metal-fluorine fire. For dealing with this situation, I have always recommended a good pair of running shoes."
I think it seems interesting, to me, because it seems like something a supervillain would come up with. 1% of the time, it can be super useful. 99% of the time, it will kill you. Painfully. What could go wrong?

Thanks to @cryselda for taking me.
Rules: answer the question in a new post and tag 20 blogs you would like to get to know better

b - birthplace: Southern California
c - current time: 1 am
d - drink you last had: Water (I took shots of water every scene bread showed up in ACCA episode 1)

h - horror yes or horror no: No, I jumpt easily and find the plot boring
i - in love?: hahahaha... no
j - jealous of people?: Nope, I have everything I want and I am not really afraid of loosing it.
k - killed someone?: By not allocating all my resources to save lives in the most efficient way possible, I have effectively killed lots of people... short of that, no.
l - love at first sight or should I walk by again: not really sure? No, I am pretty disinterested in other people until I hear them talk. That’s not to say there aren’t a lot of hella cute people out there, I just don’t care about them.

OK boys and girls, final set of this Ikenfell/Epithet Erased pixel ‘nmation series!
Ramsey’s I had the idea on mid-series and couldn’t wait to put it on pa--er, screen. Still not sure if I should’ve change the pants to a light gray instead of keeping it white, but eh.
Percy’s...I kinda lost enthusiasm, ngl. The original idea was having her arm cross while holding onto the sword still in its scabbard, but that would’ve blocked most of the torso. And other poses didn’t quite look right, so I settled for this sword-twirling thing, which...is OK. I guess?
And then Zora’s...well, maybe I did TOO much? Freakin’ capes/ponchos/whatever, man, they SCREAM to be ani-ma-nated! The colors didn’t cause too much trouble this time either, oddly enough. Though I settled on simplifying the poncho scheme because keeping it at three main colors would’ve made it messy.
Dunno if/what I’m doing next, but hey, this is out there! And here are the others in case anyone hasn’t seen them:
Marshmallowed Lost Child and When you mistake Chaotic Good for Evil
Hiimbo but Barrier-Flavored and Living Reason for N-R-F-B
Doctorate in Dork-H-D and 100% Grade A Scots

Another Pixel Dailies work, this time the theme was “Art Trade”. Mine was with Zwite1 (https://twitter.com/Zwite1) from an ask on the Pixel Dailies Discord, who requested an Uchiha from Naruto.
Update: their side of the trade: https://twitter.com/Zwite1/status/1460085892916432896?s=20

After finishing Ikenfell around Christmas and getting into JelloApocalypse’s Patreon goodies, I decided to get back into pixel art and make some Epithet Erased sprites based on the Ikenfell style over the past few days. Was kinda neat figuring out how to simplify the original designs and still make them recognizable. Though I had to give up on using the *exact* palettes if I wanted parts to stand out more than others. MIght try making more, who knows.
(Wish I could’ve figured out more to do w/ Molly’s ahoge(?) though.)

And third batch completed, this time of Sylvie and the Doc Beefton. I...went up and down with these.
The colors and keeping the short stature like Molly’s for vanilla Sylvie was a mess to deal with. But I dig how the sudden break into laughter came out, along w/ the slight motion blur and the flow of the coat.
Dr. Beefton...WHOO BOY just figuring out how to render him in Ikenfell’s more minimalist style was frustrating at times. Also got kinda distracted finishing it--including trying to “listen to and NOT watch” the stream Jello just finished. But I like how the legs and tail animations came out, and adding that one extra bit of dark shading on the skin adds something.

HOOOOOoookay.... So this took a while, but I attempted the Loop Hero style by @DmitryDeceiver with Toshizou Hijikata from Golden Kamuy. I don’t have the original sketch I did atm, just what I uploaded into Piskel, but you can see a LOT changed from one phase to the next. Still need to get a handle on the right amount of highlights, tho.

WELP, last post blew up so OK
2nd batch of the Epithet Erased static animations in the Ikenfell style.
Indus I struggled with how big to make it--too tall, and it’d end up looking like it’s from another game. That and the hair style...still not quite there for me, but eh. Mera’s I struggled with what kind of pose and movement to give her. That, and with her original color scheme, things were WAY to pale and similar before I decided to make it a tad more colorful.
But I had some fun figuring out how to animate the chest for Indus, and Mera’s turned out better than I expected. Think I did better with keeping her’s to a limited palette too.
EDIT: Didn’t mention this last time either, but these are being made via Piskel. Trying it out, not bad for a quick fix--wish it was easier to save and make palettes tho.

Yesterday’s (*ahem*) Pixel Dailies was “Orc”. I suddenly remembered this concept of a dumb-as-hell but otherwise good boy half-orc Paladin I came up with. Think because of some D&D character creator prompt? He had his tusks filed down and capped with bronze or something, to make him less intimidating.
I’m thinking...Gog-Och as a name?

HABBIE BURDEH to my longtime bud @RevengeKobold! This is of his namesake, an NPC from the campaign he’s DM-ing.
I got into looking at the spritework from Octopath Traveler and wanted to do a larger sprite like its bosses. Though, from what I know about the Kobold...this looks like this, but it’ll feel like this. It’s not 100% true to form as A) I had to simplify parts of the design to make it cohesive, and B) he then did a slight redesign and put down base colors while I was in the middle of this, so....yeah. But I still wanted to try my own color scheme on it.
SIDE NOTE: I took a suggestion from this video by Adam C. Younis and started w/ monochrome for the base rendering. Worked pretty well actually--though once the colors were chosen, there was still a lot of refinement to go through.
