Heeelp I鈥檝e been laughing at this video for days 馃槶 I鈥檓 supposed to be writing my paper, not translating shit jzhgsfdjhgajh
Edit: Translation notes below
Those who know some Spanish might鈥檝e noticed the Spanish numbers dos and doce mentioned in the video. Yeah, we use Spanish numbers when referring to money, but local/English numbers when referring to quantity.
The lowest centavo coin one usually has in the Philippines is a 25-centavo coin. There鈥檚 a 5-cent and 10-cent coin, but they aren鈥檛 as common, and usually they鈥檙e only accepted in malls or large groceries stores, not in your neighborhood sundries store
Selling candies at 3 pieces for P2 is very common, despite sellers not having change for an odd quantity, as shown in the video. So, buyers are often forced to buy an amount that would require no change, or make it easier for the seller to give you a change.
In the PH, it鈥檚 the buyer鈥檚 fault if the seller doesn鈥檛 have any change ahdsjfgjgfkd. Unless you鈥檙e buying in the mall, it鈥檚 a courtesy to pay with an amount that makes it easier for the seller
When out of change, sellers would give you candy instead
This doesn鈥檛 work the other way around, though, where you can pay with candies
