"You have to be kidding me, Nathan!" Lydia cried, hitting him as soon as he opened his eyes with a loud gasp. They were both laying on the bathroom floor, he was naked on her lap and she watched him for several minutes until he woke up from his death.

"That's how y'say welcome back? That really hurt, Lollipop, I thought you'd give me a kiss and tell me how happy you are..."

"How did you even do this? Did you just kill yourself on purpose?" she wiped her tears away, it's been a while since that happened, she was in shock.

"No! D'you think I like dyin'? It fuckin' sucks! I thought It would save time t'dry my hair while I was in the tub, did you know if you drop a hair dryer in the bathtub it kills you? What are the odds..."

"Yes, Nate! Who the fuck doesn't know that? What's next? You wanna make some toast in the tub as well?" Lydia shouted.

"That's not a bad idea!" Nathan considered for a moment.

"It's been three months without you dying, what would've happened if you weren't immortal?"

"Why think about that? I am, that's all that matters. I'm here, I'm fine!" he got up to his knees and took her in his arms, soothingly stroking her hair.

"You have no idea how scary it is to get home from work and find your fiancé dead."

"Okay, okay, I'm sorry, Lollipop, I promise I'll be more careful. D'you forgive me?"

"When do I not forgive you, you twat?"

8. What were their first impressions of each other?

Lydia nearly had a fit, she couldn't believe how beautiful Win was, and when they started talking... she was completely smitten. I believe Win was intrigued by Lyddie talking to herself, she probably thought it was funny and kinda cute.

15. What are traits they dislike in one another?

Dislike is a strong word, but Lyddie is not a fan of how Win shuts down and keeps everything in when someone asks what's wrong. I think Win doesn't really like how Lyddie puts herself down sometimes or tries to please everyone ignoring her own needs.

26. What are their favorite parts about physical affection/sex?

Hmmm... I think they love just taking their time, touching and discovering what makes the other shiver, learn about every little bit of each other's bodies, and take risks together when they have sex.

I really don't want to get into too much of what this book is about. It's a second chance love story with an edge. Lexi and Andrew were in love. The kind of love that most of search our entire lives for. But outside forces were desperate to break them apart. Secret agendas, dark betrayals, and heartbreaking lies finally succeed at separating these lovers. Through the years, Lexi has held on to her anger and Andrew has lived his life with only her best interests in mind. Time and distance couldn't kill his love for her. And no matter how much she believes that she should hate him, Lexi can't help but still love him too. Will these two figure out the truth and will this knowledge make them an even more powerful force than ever? Read this delectable tale to find out!

This story was so freaking hot! Despite the fact that no actual "sex" happened until almost the end, the intensity of the buildup made my body all tingly.

So when Andrew and Lexi finally did the deed, it was the culmination of a lot of pent up frustrations, for them and for me. Their every interaction was heated by the way that these two wanted to tear each others clothes off. Whether love or hate was ruling their minds, their hearts knew that the touch of no one else would quench the thirst.

I'm a true sucker for second chances and this one was satisfying in ways I didn't even imagine it would be. It was hot, it was twisted, it was dramatic and it was entertaining. I'm not done with this couple yet and I'm beyond thrilled that their story will continue in Mortal Siege, the conclusion to their series.
