How To Make The ULTIMATE Eggnog Crème Brûlée !! A spin on the classic Crème Brûlée Recipe || Glam Gourmet
Crème brûlée is at the top of my list for perfect desserts. That creamy and rich custard with the torched sugar on top is irresistible! It is must simpler to make than you might expect. If you do not have a torch, no problem, you can put them under the broiler for a few minutes to achieve the burnt sugar on top. This is the sans booze version but feel free to add in some rum for a little zing!
Making this can seem intimidating because its usually served at restaurants and people don't make it at home too often. However the recipe requires very few and simple ingredients! My one piece of advice to you is, don't skimp on the full fat eggnog and whipping cream! It is very much needed to achieve the rich silkiness of the custard.
This is a very basic method for a custard and you could replace it with regular milk and use it for other desserts like a fruit tarte or a trifle. This is a dessert that you want to serve right away, I would make them ahead of time as the burnt sugar will no longer be hardened if you put these in the fridge.
