So, I’m so very grateful to the kind people who nominated me for a bughead fanfiction award.  It really is such a wonderful compliment so THANK YOU SO MUCH. It was a tough year and the writing has really helped me to cope with all of the lockdowns and stress.  I’m so grateful to the team @bugheadfanfictionawards.  I can’t imagine how much work is involved in the awards so please know how much it means to get one of your special messages. There are so many wonderful fics out there to read so for folks to notice mine is such a compliment. I’ll list the nominations below the cut in case you’d like to read any of them.  (Special thanks to whoever noticed What Freud Said- it’s literally my favourite of my stories!)

I can't even tell you how flattered I am that I got nominated for some Bughead Fan Fiction Awards!

Cooper’s Monsters was nominated for multi overall complete, multi angst, & multi fantasy sci-fi.

Sleep is for the Weak was nominated for oneshot overall, oneshot fluff, & tropefest.

‘Tis the Season (Not to be Alone) was nominated for Supporting Cast.

I was also nominated for an author award in fantasy/sci-fi & creative!

I know this is cliche, but being nominated means more to me than the possibility of winning. The fact that someone liked my writing enough to write my name down is amazing to me!

I want to take a second to thank @betty-with-an-e @shibbycat @catthecoder @bugggghead @arsenicpanda @theheavycrown @miss-eee and @jughead-jones (and anyone else associated) for going ABOVE and beyond with their time and effort spent on the BFFA.

I know all of the Bughead authors spent an exorbitant amount of time and energy writing and creating, and these lovely individuals not only took the time to acknowledge said authors but also compiled and filed (as it were) all of the information. I can’t IMAGINE how much time this took. Gosh, you guys are awesome 👏.

This post is a day late for two very important reasons.

I was far too distraught last night to write anything at all. Just ask @justcourbeau, who I was texting through a waterfall of tears as my phone died in my dorm’s cafeteria. It was a very emotional night, and I have you all to thank for that.

I was worried that most of you would see my post and just roll your eyes because “We get it. Now fuck off.”

And, to be honest, most of you will probably still react that way, but I just wanted to say thank you anyway, no matter how annoying I come across.

Thank you to anyone who submitted a form to the Bughead Fan Fiction Awards at all. Thank you for participating in an event that seeks to validate and encourage creators in this fandom. They all work extremely hard to put out content for all of us, and they deserve all of the praise that this event seeks to shower upon them.

Thank you to the event coordinators themselves, who worked so tirelessly to put the awards together so that we all could even get the chance to attempt to recognize all the talent in this fandom.

Thank you to anyone who put my name or fic down for any of the categories. I seriously was not expecting to take part in this event as anything more than a cheerleader for all of the insanely talented authors, artists, gif-makers, and betas, and yet my name was somehow thrown into the mix of nominations and for that I am so ridiculously thankful. I’ve often felt so stressed out and put down by the writing process, as much as I love it, so having my efforts be recognized is more than I could have ever asked for.

Thank you to anyone who has ever read, commented on, or supported any one of my fics. I appreciate it more than you could ever know, and I love you all.

I wish I could come up with something super poetic and beautiful to thank you all for these nominations, but I really don’t have any new words. These two fics have such a special place in my heart- one that came from an incredibly personal place, and one that pushed me and challenged me to be a better writer- and to be nominated and acknowledged for them is an incredible feeling. 

And it’s crazy intimidating to see all of the other names that were also nominated, and to think that someone thought I belonged in a group with them.

Okay, well, wow. 

I have no words to express how incredibly grateful I am for everyone in this fandom, and how honoured I am to write alongside some of the most talented people I know for one of the best couples I’ve ever seen on TV. 

So, given this, it excites me so much to say, 

Flashing Lights was nominated for best multichapter slow burn.

I Search For You was nominated for best oneshot au.  

Both of these fics hold special places in my heart for very different reasons, and I can’t express how it truly is an honour to be nominated for these awards with so many incredible other writers. THANK YOU so much!

BFFA

I’m just gonna go ahead and make a post about this, because I am truly honored to have my fic La Douler Exquise be nominated for Best Angst Overall and Best Hurt/Comfort Overall in the latest Bughead Fanfiction Awards. When I got the message from @bugheadfanfictionawards , I was so surprised, ‘cos I wasn’t expecting it. (As a matter of fact, I nominated another story for the mentioned two categories.) To be honest, I’m just happy that some people have read my work, and some may have liked it enough to nominate it for certain awards. I’m truly humbled. Thank you so, so much to the people who nominated me. 

It’s an honor in and of itself to be nominated along with the authors that I completely admire and love, and whose works I’ve obsessed about for periods of time. That’s actually enough for me.

Hey there!
