I have like no one to talk to about romencken so I'm going slightly insane about this, but nobody on Tumblr is talking about the bathroom scene script! I feel like you would really like the implications of it if you haven't already seen it.

In the 2nd pic, Jeryd says he ("this monkey") doesn't dance, but the direction! "How was my dance? Did you like it?" !!!!!!! Like, lots of people (rightfully based on precedent) assume that Jeryd isn't as into Roman and will probably ditch/betray him, but he does like Roman! Or at least wants Roman to like him, or be impressed by him. When I saw it I immediately thought of YKW, and their really intense codependency both ways. You'd assume that it's just Roman who wants approval, but Jeryd wants it just as bad. I literally had a meltdown about this for like 10 minutes

Okay, this just seals it. Mencken's fascination and neediness for this connection is basically canon, I don't even care, that's the implication there, man. I'm so into this. Mencken's wife would be able to see the crush on him from miles away, I bet.

Also, my askbox is a safe place for people to go on about Romemencken, I swear. At this point it's a very clear association between me and the ship so it's not like I would have any reason to pretend like I'm not incredibly into this ship and like I don't want to talk about it all the time.

They genuinely do have a connection, it's all there in the text, fight me IRL. Are they both terrible people? Totally, but they're into each other, so that's the point here.
