Chapter 162: Kakashi/Gai
“Oh this is it. This is the perfect spot.”
Kakashi tilted his head and looked out over the lake with a critical eye – his only eye, incidentally.
“Are you sure?” he asked.
“Definitely.” Obito held his hands out in front of him in a square shape like a view finder. “Yup, beautiful. Can’t you see it? This is a great place for taking pictures!”
“For you maybe, you nature freak. I prefer human subjects. And I’m noticing a distinct lack of anyone around here.” Kakashi waited until Obito rolled his eyes and looked away before pushing up his sleeve to peek at the glowing numbers on the inside of his wrist.
His timer only had a minute or so left on it and he didn’t see how the hell he was supposed to meet his soulmate here in this empty public park with no one around but the idiot he’d been best friends with since childhood. He already knew Obito. His soulmate could not be Obito – and he wouldn’t want it to be, they already knew too many embarrassing secrets about each other. But if it wasn’t his partner in crime then he didn’t see anyone else around for the job either.
Was he supposed to match to himself or something? Kakashi was no stranger to self-love but that was taking it a bit too far if you asked him.
“Come on! I want to play with the reflections on the water! My camera’s all set up already, I knew this spot would be great!” Obito was practically dancing a jig as he hurried over to the nearby lake but Kakashi shifted the weight of his own camera from hand to hand and lingered behind.
“Maa,” he grumbled. “I get to choose the spot next time. This park is so empty.”
Something in the back of his mind told him he would find good things around the thicket of trees just west of where they had set up and Kakashi had yet to see his photographer’s instinct let him down. If his timer was going to end in a bust he figured he might as well console himself with some great pictures for his portfolio. Freelance photography didn’t exactly pay great; it was always a good idea to have lots of things to attract more customers with.
The closer he wandered to the trees the more Kakashi came to realize he could hear something from behind them. Curious, he stopped to listen until he could make out what sounded like a man counting off numbers. Now equal parts baffled and curious, he wandered over and peeked around the trees.
“Ninety-three, ninety-four…”
What he was counting was push-ups and who it was turned out to be the beefiest man Kakashi had ever laid eyes on. Muscles on top of muscles, legs for days, and enough of a tan on all that exposed flesh to let him know this guy went shirtless quite regularly.
Kakashi’s plan, if he had time to make one, would have been to stay hidden and observe like the socially stupid gremlin his friends always accused him of being. That plan was thwarted even before its conception as his suddenly weak knees wobbled and the stagger to regain his balance brought him out in the open, in full view of the man he’d just stumbled upon by accident.
His heart almost stopped when the timer on his wrist did, the very moment their eyes met for the first time. And that was only half of the surprise. Nothing could have prepared him for the thousand-watt smile he suddenly found himself basking in, the brilliance of the joy that bore down on him to lift his entire body off the ground for a hug – seemingly with no effort whatsoever.
“At last the springtime of my youth has arrived! The joy of my life! The light of my heart! I could not possibly be happier!” The man punctuated his words with a tight squeeze that forced a protesting squeak out of Kakashi.
“Can’t breathe,” he whimpered.
“Oh! My sincerest apologies, soulmate!”
Kakashi found himself back on the ground immediately with a massive hand thumping him on the back in a manner that was clearly meant to be comforting but mostly just made him worry about cracking a rib.
“Are you alright?” the stranger asked him. Kakashi wheezed and gave a wobbly thumbs up. “Excellent! But of course my soulmate could only be the most hip and cool man around! My name is Might Gai! And yours?” If he smiled any wider his teeth might drop out. It was a little charming, actually, to see so much enthusiasm, particularly because it seemed to be genuine.
“My name is Kakashi.”
“A most youthful name! I can already see how we’ll get on well together! Would you like to join me in finishing my work out? Only one hundred and six push-ups left to go and then I will do 100 sit-ups! What better way to get to know each other than to test our limits side by side?”
“Uh, no. You go ahead. I’ll just…watch.”
Gai punched one fist in to the air with a cry of “YOSH!” and then he was down on his hands, chattering away as he continued with his work out. Still a little dazed, Kakashi lowered himself down to sit on the grass and listened more carefully than he usually would have to anyone else.
He watched with fascination as Gai completed the push-ups and moved seamlessly in to the next exercise like it was nothing, barely even seeming to feel the effort. Kakashi was poking thoughtfully at his own underdeveloped abdominal muscles when he heard Obito calling out in the distance, sparking a bit of guilt when he realized he’d forgotten his friend was even here.
“Bakashi, where’d you go? You’re not still butt hurt over the park idea are you? Look, just let me take a few more shots and then we can go somewhere you like!”
“No, that’s fine Obito!” He tilted his head to watch Gai from a different angle, smiling and hefting his camera as he murmured gently to himself. “I like where I am just fine.”

What may come, part 1
Tumblr media
(Image is not mine!)
Pairing: Tom Hiddleston x Reader
Word Count: 2654
Warning: Language (It’s a thing with me.  I like to cuss.  A lot.)
“Please, tell me you are packed?  I swear you wait until the last minute every time then I get annoyed and then the world burns.”  You laughed loudly at your sister’s dramatics on your call to her.
“Yes I packed my clothes already.  I finished them this morning.  Now I am just making sure my camera is ready for the flight.  I can’t be too careful with it.”  She was whispering something to someone in the background.  “Mila?”
“Oh sorry just trying to get the next shot setup before everyone comes back from break.  So packed?”
“Yes, I’m packed.  I leave for the airport in an hour.” Sighing you zipped up your camera bag for the third time.  As long as you kept it with you as a carry-on, it should be fine.  That camera was your world and livelihood.  If something happened to it, you were sunk.
“Good.  I have a car and driver to pick you up and bring you here. Once you get here you can drive one of my cars while you’re in L.A.”  Mila sounded distracted, as though she was only half paying attention to you while she was focusing on something else.
“That’s fine.  Look I will let you get back to work.  I will text you when I take off and land, okay?”
“No not like that!” She all but screamed in your ear.
“What?”
“Oh [Y/N] sorry!  That wasn’t for you.  Paul moved something he wasn’t supposed to.  Yeah call me.  I can’t wait to see you.  Gotta go, love you!”  The phone went dead before you had a chance to respond.  That happened often with Mila.  She was one of the up and coming directors in Hollywood and she was always busy. As a perfectionist, her eye for detail was amazing.  The last two films she had done were well received and she was in high demand now. Her current project had several big names and you could not be prouder.  However, it did make it difficult for you to see and talk to your big sister often.
The Uber drive to the airport was pleasant.  The driver asked a few questions and recommended a couple restaurants to try while you were in L.A.  “How long are you going for?”
“Oh… Actually I don’t know.” You could see the confusion on his face through the rearview mirror.  “I’m going there to stay with my sister for a while.  See if I can find work out there.  There aren’t as many jobs for a photographer here as there used to be.  So, I’m going to see if I can make money elsewhere.”  He nodded before prattling on about other places he had been there. It actually made the drive much shorter.
The airport was a mess. Storms elsewhere had delayed flights, some not even going to those regions. Including yours to Los Angeles. From the looks of it, your plane was going to be delayed at least two hours, just freaking lovely.  You sent a text to Mila and your mom letting them know you were stuck at the airport for the time being.  Your mother of course sent an instant reply back wanting to know if you needed her to come get you.  That you did not have to leave today.  You frowned as you read it over.  She had been trying to talk you into staying from the moment you told her. The thought of having two of her children so many miles away did not sit well with her and she wanted you to stay home. Even when you explained that your savings was slowly dwindling and you needed to find more work she did not back down. There had been an offer for you to move back in with them while you looked for something.  That was shot down quickly.  The thought of having to move back in with your parents made you physically ill.
Mila finally responded back about an hour later.  She said she would still have the driver for you and that by the time you got there the day would be wrapping up so you would be able to head to dinner right from the set.  Then she sent a text of her making a silly face with one of the actors.  With the message, ‘Tom can’t wait to meet you.  He is tired of me talking about this amazing sister of mine.  He doesn’t believe you exist.’
Holy shit, the actor in the picture was Tom Hiddleston.  How the hell did Mila get so lucky?!  Ever since she was young, she always had the best luck in everything.  Though, yes she always worked hard too.  But damn that woman could do no wrong, lucky bitch. With a groan, you fell back onto the hard seat in the waiting area around your terminal.  The next hour consisted of fiddling with your camera case, checking every piece, ensuring you had not forgotten anything.  It bored you to tears but it was something to pass the time.
When your flight was finally called you almost did a jig.  It meant that you were finally going to get to start a new adventure. Growing up you were always the odd ball. You did not sneak out and drive your parents crazy like Mila and your brother did.  You actually did your homework on time and never skipped school. Nevertheless, you always had a good time.  New experiences were new adventures no matter what they were, good or bad.  When you finished college, you took six months to spend around Europe, taking pictures.  It was the most fun you had ever had in your life.  It gave you a new way of thinking and seeing the world around you.
It also helped your bank account as you had sold many of your photos to magazines.  It kept you from being homeless while you found more steady work.  For a while, you did portraits and weddings.  While it was fun coming up with poses and backdrops, it was not where your heart was.  You enjoyed action shots, nature, anything that was not stagnant or staged.  Which had led to the problem of work becoming difficult to find.  It the little town you were from in New Hampshire there was far less demand for a photographer that wanted more than weddings or birthday parties.
Mila had begged you for several years to come join her out West.  When she had gone out to California for school, she fell in love with it.  She had not returned home after that.  Now she was some important director in Hollywood getting to do all the fun things. Getting the chance to meet amazing people and go to the all the places you wanted to see.  A month ago, you finally relented after another round of begging.  It had surprised you both when you finally said yes.  Now here you were sitting on a plane ready to find out what else was out there for you.  You could only hope that is was going to be something better.
You slept most of the six-hour flight.  The first class ticket your sister had bought came in handy after sitting in the airport for so long.  There was room to be able to stretch out and sleep comfortably.  It was almost comical how you thought the airport back home had been insane.  LAX put that to shame times a million or three.  There were people everywhere.  It was not as though you had never been to busy places in the world, but this took the cake.  Finding your luggage had been a feat in itself before making it down towards the exit. There were several people standing holding signs with different names.  It did not take long for you to see your name written neatly over one of them held by a rather large man.  “I think you are waiting for me.”
“Yes ma’am, you look a lot like Miss Mila.  Is this all your bags?”  You nodded as he put the sign under his arm and took the two-wheeled suitcases from him. He tried to take your camera case but you let him know you were fine to hold it.  You were grateful he was driving a large black SUV instead of a limo. That would have just been weird. He introduced himself as Vincent and said he was one of the drivers for the studio.  This is what he got to do all day long.  When you asked how he liked it, he laughed.
“Depends on the day and who I am driving.  Some days its great and I get to see all parts of the city.  Others I want to run every idiot off the road.”  Both of you laughed as you chatted for the remainder of the trip.  It was good to meet at least one nice person in this city.  Once you arrived on set, Vincent said he would get your bags to Mila’s trailer.  Again, you had to refuse when he tried for your camera.
“Sorry, Vincent.  This bag is my life.”  He winked at you with a grin.
“Alright I get it. Take care of yourself little lady. I hope to see you again around our little town.”  He left you in care of one of Mila’s assistants.  A young guy trying to prove himself in the industry.  By the looks of it, he was petrified of your sister.
“Umm hi.  I’m Danny, Danny Rice.  Mila told me to bring you right to her, they are almost done.”
“Nice to meet you Danny, I’m [Y/N].”  Shaking hands quickly he led you to the back of the studio where she was watching over one of the last scenes for the day.  Taking the seat Danny had shown you, watching quietly as Mila was in her element, you were in awe.  Of course, this was something else she was good at.  Taking out your camera slowly, you set it before snapping a few shots of her in her chair.  Then she stood as the action of the scene started to pick up.  As you snapped more shots of her, someone roughly grabbed your arm.
“You can’t do that here. Give me that camera now.”  Another large man, this time dressed in a security uniform stood over you.  He did not look happy, but it would be a cold day in hell before you gave your camera to anyone.
“Yeah that isn’t happening. I was taking pictures of…”
“You were taking pictures of the movie set.  You will give me the camera or I will remove you from the set.”
“Get your hands off my sister before you lose any of your favorite appendages.”  Mila’s loud voice called from behind you.  The guard was stunned into silence before he dropped your arm.
“Miss [Y/L/N]… I’m sorry I didn’t know it was your sister.  She was taking pictures of the scene and I didn’t want any leaking to the press.”  Scowling up at him you turned your camera over to show her what you had been taking pictures of.
“If you had let me finish talking I would have shown you I was taking pictures of her not that scene. I’m not an idiot I would never do that to Mila.  Or anyone else for that matter.”  It was then you noticed there was quite the crowd staring at the action going on off camera.  Your cheeks flushed quickly.  Being the center of attention was not something you enjoyed.
“I’m sorry.  I was just doing my job trying to keep the movie and set safe.”  Frowning before you relaxed your stance.
“It’s all right.  I understand.”  Mila looked like she still wanted to take his head off.  However, since you had forgiven the situation she would allow him to keep all his parts intact.  She gave him the ‘stank eye’ until he slunk away.
“You always know how to attract trouble don’t you?”
“Yes.  But I was trying to behave this time.  I swear!”  You both laughed, embracing tight.  “God, I missed you.  Home isn’t home without you.”
“I know.  I make everyway a better place.”  Rolling your eyes you pulled back to look at her.
“I’m sorry I didn’t mean to ruin your scene.”  She shook her head and moved to put her arm around you and bring you to sit in her chair.
“You didn’t.  We just paused it for a moment.  Want to watch for a little while?  Should be done in about twenty.”  Making yourself comfortable in her chair, before you put away your camera.
“Oh hell yes.”  Mila kissed your cheek and turned back towards the crew.  She flipped the sister switch over to director.  You could see the change in stance and attitude already.
“Back to the last mark. I want to be done in twenty.  I’m starving.  You all don’t want me to get hangry, now let’s finish it the way it is supposed to be.  Adrienne start from where you left off and this time more volume.  Tom you ready?”
He came from one of the chairs off to the side you had somehow missed.  Tom Hiddleston in all his glory.  Holy hell he was taller than you imagined.  “I’m ready and all for getting out of here soon.”
Tom’s gaze fell onto you for a moment.  He smiled brightly before turning to the pretty actress in front of him.  The scene was amazing.  Their acting and the whole atmosphere of the set was thrilling. It was not difficult to see why Mila chose this.  It fit her and everything about her.  Twenty minutes later, she called “cut”, telling them all to return well rested for the morning.  “Tom, come here.  You need to meet my imaginary sister.”
That smile that previously had been there returned to his face.  “[Y/N], this is Tom.  Tom this is my amazing sister, [Y/N].”
He held out his hand to you gripping firmly and shaking as you slipped yours into his.  “Pleasure, [Y/N].  She has spoken of you often and I was starting to believe she was just telling us all stories of a fictitious sister.  Glad to have the chance to see you are real.”
His hand was warm thus making your entire body very warm as he held onto yours just a moment longer than most people would have.  “Umm yes! I am glad to be here.  Glad to meet you too, Mr. Hiddleston.”
“Oh no, none of that. It’s Tom, please.  Mr. Hiddleston sounds awful.  I don’t want to delay you ladies, I know Mila is probably going to hurt someone soon if she isn’t fed.  [Y/N] it was lovely to meet you.  I hope to see you again soon.”  Tom hugged Mila before walking off, glancing over his shoulder once at you, smiling as he saw you were still looking at him.
You were not fully sure if you had remembered to breathe in the last few minutes or not.  “I don’t think I have ever seen you star struck before.” Mila’s voice invaded the fog that was surrounding your brain.
“Umm no… me either. Oh my God Mila.”  Looking over at your sister you could only imagine what your face looked like.
“I guess he is pretty, in a tall, handsome actor sort of way.”  She was smirking at you and your inability to form full sentences.  “He doesn’t really do it for me.”
“If he was six inches shorter, had long hair and big boobs would he do it for you?”  She laughed shaking her head.
“Only if he had a vagina too.  Penises are weird looking organs.”  There was no helping the hysterical laughter that erupted from both of you.  It had been too long since you had been with your sister.  “Come on. I’m starving and I need to catch up with my crazy sister.”

It (2017) Review
I had the great fortune of seeing It this last weekend. The theater was packed with high school students that barely looked old enough to see an R-rated film. They all chatted loudly with each other, and large groups filtered in late to realize almost all the seats were already taken. In the middle of the controlled chaos was me, bookended by my boyfriend and my mother. Yup, I convinced my mother (who has never seen a horror film in theaters) to join me for It. I largely have my aunt to thank for that. She had seen the film a little earlier than us and told my mom, "It's more creepy than it is scary." This was the only preface I had going into the film. Full Disclosure: I've never read It and I haven't seen the original miniseries starring Tim Curry. You bet your ass I'm going to make a point of it after watching this remake though.
The only other thing I knew about  going into it was that Bill Skarsgård was going to be playing the lead. I'd seen him previously in the Netflix exclusive, Hemlock Grove, but knew that would have little to no standing on his portrayal of Pennywise the Dancing Clown. At the least, the special effects department gets a major round of applause from me for totally transforming the actor. Whenever a major amount of makeup and practical effects come into play you can usually see the actor underneath. That's not the case in It. Bill completely disappears into the guise of Pennywise.

Actors should certainly be recognized for their participation in films. However, when they completely become one with a character, it's a testament to how good they are at their job, and how good the film is in general. This is especially important in cases where a character in a film has many forms. "It" has many, and two more were added to the lore in this film: the headless boy and Judith (the creepy painting). These additions were much more of a treat for previous fans of the franchise, and the character in general. They were still enjoyable for people like me though who just saw them as a part of the film. Unlike most people talking about or reviewing It I'm looking at it from a totally new perspective. This allows me to talk about the film while not getting caught up in lists of Easter eggs, and subtle nuances that reference the source material. So here's what I thought of It from an outsider's perspective.
https://imgur.com/OVSE23B
Tumblr media
Let's start with the quintessential opening sequence of It. I was fairly familiar with this since it's a cult classic in the both the horror film community and with fans of Tim Curry (I love Rocky Horror!). This scene was fantastically constructed, and had a great many small details that had me antsy to watch the rest of the film. Bill's commitment to Pennywise was clear from the moment he appeared on screen. The clown drooled as he crooned to Georgie about the circus. He feigned delight at Georgie liking popcorn the most out of all the circus treats. And he gorged himself on the innocent child when Georgie mustered up the courage to try to retrieve his paper boat.
Small cutaways from Georgie and Pennywise showed a woman and a cat observing Georgie as he looked into the sewer drain. Neither of them thought anything of it as they glanced over to see him. A subtle fear crossed the woman's face as she noticed he was suddenly gone, and a pool of blood in his place. The shots of the cat were a cute little interjection that led into the rest of the film. While this scene was a perfect little capsule of a terrifying creature that hunts children, it also started a sensation that I couldn't shake.

There really was something about It that I started to notice throughout the first half of the film. I realized that I was (rightfully) starting to irritate my boyfriend as I whined over and over again about the overused horror tropes and disjointed creepy vignettes. The whole point of It is that the creature feeds on a person's individual fears, and yet, as It terrified its prey, I felt bored. Ben was investigating the town of Derry's history in the library and then saw a terrifying spectacle of a headless child killed during an Easter event. The Easter eggs leading him to the basement were supposed to be foreboding, but they just came off as silly to me. And the headless boy was tired and boring rather than frightening.
As each of the other characters started seeing their deepest fears embodied by It, the same sensation persisted. It was only towards the second half of the film that I realized what I was feeling. All of It's activity in the beginning felt disconnected. The sensation was akin to seeing a trailer for a film and then seeing that moment in the movie itself. All of the scares in the first half felt like moments from different trailers strewn together. One scary scene would happen, and then another, then another. But rather than feeling like they were all part of one movie, they felt oddly disconnected.
There's also the fact that many of these scenes were not in fact "scary." I kept hearing what my aunt told my mother over and over again, "It's more creepy than it is scary." I made a point to keep an eye on my mom as the film continued because I knew she'd be more easily scared than my boyfriend and I combined. In her defense, and to the film's detriment, she only closed her eyes at a handful of different parts. I went to see It in theaters because I thought it would be genuinely scary. I was prepared to leave with a feeling of relief that it was over, but instead I left wanting to get my hands on my keyboard to write about it.

Tumblr media
The most positive and memorable part of It (for me) was the Loser's Club. All of the children acting in this film did a fantastic job. To anyone who already saw the film, they'll know exactly what I'm talking about when I say one actor in particular stood head and shoulders above the rest. To those that didn't, you'll easily have your eyes on Richie throughout the film. Played by Finn Wolfhard (of Stranger Things) fame, Richie is the funniest part of the film. Spoiler Alert: The moment when Ben says, "Derry used to be a beaver trapping town-" and Richie interjects with, "Still is, am I right?" while looking around for a high-five, is the best line from the film. End Spoilers.
I absolutely did not expect to laugh nearly as much as I did watching It. That’s the most enjoyably unexpected part of the film. You go expecting to be afraid, but end up belly laughing. Not from fear, not after a jump scare to keep yourself from crying, but from straight-up comedy. The Loser's Club is full of one-liners that will make seeing It worth it on its own. It's ironic that the humor in a horror movie was actually the best part. Even still, the one-liners and jokes stole the show.
https://imgur.com/PreFDB7
Speaking of laughing, there's one scene in It that I absolutely need to address in this review. I gave the beginning of the film a lot of crap for its disjointed feeling, but the latter half really felt satisfying. Things were finally happening, tension was rising, and we were getting closer to the eventual stand-off with Pennywise. Then came the dancing scene. Quite a few people in the theater (myself included) actually burst out laughing when Pennywise appeared on the screen doing his crazy dance. The laughter didn't last long though, as the clown's jumping antics quickly became creepier than anything else in the film. This was admittedly the scene of the movie for me as far as the horror side of it goes. I was genuinely disturbed, which is of course the point of a horror film, and was glad to see Pennywise leap from the stage after concluding his maniacal jig. https://imgur.com/LEWJ9io Before we conclude our long journey together into the world of the It remake, let's talk ending. The end of a film is always going to be its high or low point. In the case of It, since I was unfamiliar with the source material, I didn't know for certain that it was going to have a sequel. As the story started to wind down and the Loser's Club came together one last time to pledge their loyalty to each other (and the defeat of It), I felt happy. This was a perfect, mellow, and subtle ending that would lead into a sequel. Then the words "It: Chapter One" splashed across the screen and I groaned aloud. Why did they have to go and ruin such a great ending? I'm being a little overdramatic, as the words certainly don't ruin the film, but I could have done without them. Fans of the series know that there is going to be a sequel, and those watching the reboot could clearly tell that this wasn't the end. We didn't need things literally spelled out for us.
Let's put everything together in the end here. It wasn't very scary, so even those that don't generally enjoy horror films could watch and enjoy it. Those looking to have the literal shit scared out of them will be out of luck. If you haven't seen the original It miniseries or read the novel, you'll still enjoy the film on its own. Those that are familiar with Stephen King's masterful horror will enjoy a bevy of Easter eggs within the film. The Loser's Club is absolutely hilarious, and you'll walk away feeling like some child actors absolutely know what they're doing. The "scares" within It are not very scary, but they are creepy. You'll feel a sense of foreboding throughout the entire thing that sticks with you for a little while after. And of course, Bill Skarsgård proves that he's an actor to watch as we go into the sequel of It, and beyond. His Pennywise is terrifying and entirely believable.
If you're looking for a film that is well worth your money, you absolutely can't go wrong with It. At over two hours long It manages to fill that time completely without feeling overdone. You'll walk away feeling content at money well spent, plus there's a sequel to look forward to! https://imgur.com/5LGZjjq

alright let’s get typing. today was fine, just boring, another day stuck inside with nothing to do. I should probably run to the store tomorrow but it’s so damn cold out I really don’t want to even go anywhere. But yeah, I woke up a little after 12ish and sat on my bed for a few before getting up for real and making some french toast, which I ate while looking up job listings. There weren’t very many new ones since last week on my school’s job listings so I ended up seeing if I could find any elsewhere but didn't have much luck there. But I did submit a few applications to different ones so I guess we’ll see if that turns into anything. The most significant would be the one to be a public defender, which I’m still kinda meh about because I’ve never really wanted to be one, but I do like criminal law and I do think I could enjoy it while not able to get the job I actually want. Of course the major problem with all of this would be that they cycle the PDs around to the different courts which generally includes the juvenile court, which would include delinquency which I would absolutely love to do, but also defending parents in child welfare cases, and I’m sorry, but I just absolutely could not do that, and I will straight up tell them that in an interview because that is 100% a dealbreaker for me. I could not zealously represent my client as I would be supposed to do, I just could never be in a position where I’m the one attorney in the room whose focus is not on the best interest of the child when that’s supposed to be the focus of the whole court. so yeah, that would be an issue, but I guess we'll see where that goes. After I finished up that stuff I watched a few episodes of The Americans which are all very serious but not in a bad way, and then it was time for The Flash so I turned that on. Episode was okay, not all that exciting honestly but I appreciated the callbacks to season 1 and the metahuman transports (mainly because it gave me Snart memories) and I loved Cecile’s plot line because I really appreciate her as a character, and she was great in the scene towards the end where they confronted the cop that was helping Cicada. I did also like their sort of realization at the end that the secret to defeating Cicada may be to appeal to his humanity and trying to help his daughter, and I hope they do that plot well. Then it was time for The Gifted, which actually was a really well done episode IMO. it looks like the jig is going to be up for Lorna and her being a double agent, so we’ll have to see what the fallout from that ends up being, I do love her meeting up with Marcos to trade information. I also really liked the plot with the mom (I can never remember character names for my life but you know who I’m talking about) coming in to help the underground mutants (I don’t remember their group name either but you know who I mean) and being so adamant about it and winning the respect of their leader guy. so that was good. After it ended I just kinda let the news play for a while as I finished up some stuff before starting to get ready for bed, and now I’m here. almost 1 am and I am quite tired, so I think I will be going to bed now. Goodnight babes. Sleep well.
