i can't remember the last time I haven't been properly obsessed with anything since I had a 3 year long hyperfixation on Unus Annus, and the rest has been a very long switching between old ones and new ones!!! im very weird.

ok re: my last reblog about tumblr shows™ im not done complaining. i think a big problem with the way the tumblr populace interacts with television is that people on here don't watch media that's not produced to high heaven. good omens and our flag means death are very high budget projects that have a lot of big names attached, both in front of and behind the camera - which is fine; of course people are going to watch big budget shows, that's kind of the whole point of producing them - but they get treated like these underground hits produced by, for, and about marginalized groups and like...they're not. they're on prime video and hbo max, which aren't exactly obscure and certainly aren't known for their delicate and authentic handling of queer issues.

but these shows (and the ones that came before them, bbc sherlock comes to mind) get consumed by people on here looking for authentic representation, and through the game of cultural telephone that often gets played in online communities, become stripped for parts and re-molded into bodies of rhetoric that get interpreted as foundational texts for the queer politics of gen z. i'm not saying it's bad to want representation or identify with the representation you find in high-budget projects, i'm just saying that these shows aren't designed to cater to the tastes and wants of queer gen z-ers, they're designed to turn a profit by generating as much viewership as possible, and if that includes queer gen z-ers, then so be it.

the audience of a show is, in a studio's mind, really only a means to profit. i think that's also why a lot of these shows get torn to shreds for not handling representational issues quote-unquote "correctly" - the producers behind shows like stranger things, for instance, are only worried about how people might interpret a shipping dynamic insofar as it drives viewership. they've danced around will's sexuality as a plot point for four seasons because they know the "will-he-won't-he" dynamic is something that draws people to the show and keeps them coming back when new seasons drop. they're not concerned with how authentic or inauthentic their portrayals of the queer experience might be, no matter how that makes people who are looking for authenticity feel. producers want to make these shows appealing to as many potential viewers as possible, and that often unfortunately means toning down tangible queer subtext and making it more nebulous, so they can have plausible deniability if culture shifts to the point where on-screen queer representation isn't en vogue.

to that end, i think a lot of people who enjoy shows like gomens, ofmd, or stranger things but who become frustrated with how these shows handle queeer issues might benefit from watching lower-budget projects that prioritize story and earnestness over profit potential. even older films like fried green tomatoes or the birdcage do a better job, at least in my opinion, of portraying authentic queer experiences than lots of modern big-studio projects. even though the lesbian dynamics in fried green tomatoes aren't ever outright delineated as a queer story, it's clear that the element of queer subtext was important to the writers, which makes it resonate as that much more authentic.

anyway, what i'm trying to say is that there are queer writers out there who want to share their stories with you, but are pushed out in favor of larger-scale projects that are surer financial bets. but these stories are out there - it's just up to you to put in the effort to find them. putting in that effort can be incredibly rewarding, and it's really heartwarming to be able to know you're connecting with other people like you through honest portrayals of the lives you lead. and, inconvenient as it is, you're not going to get that from amazon.

Um ok here's to WIP hell I guess.

The first one is the OFMD idea I'm pretty sure you know about already but w/e. Basic plot is;

Alma runs away to sea at some point post ep10 but before the Blackbonnet reunion

She is found stowing away on a ship Ed & co are raiding

When asked what she's doing there (obviously rich kid, fairly clean and well fed etc etc) she says she's looking for her dad (just. Pretend this works with how e10 ended.)

In spite of himself, Ed is kind of invested. Life After Stede has been painfully, mind numbingly boring when it isn't just crushingly sad and he's once again desperate for a break in the monotony. Not getting attached this time though, no sir 🤡

There's a background here where since s1 Ed & Izzy's dynamic has gotten just, way more blatantly abusive, with Izzy lashing out with threats and verbal abuse (never in front of the crew) whenever he feels Ed isn't performing 'Blackbeard' convincingly enough. Most of the time, Ed's just dissociating to get through the day.

Anyway Ed decides he wants to help Alma find her dad (he has no idea who he is, she's not giving a name), with the justification to Izzy & the crew that she's obviously rich so her dad will probably pay a huge ransom to get her back.

So then there's an extended period of Alma living on the Revenge with Ed, Izzy, Jim & Frenchie & the rest of the crew

There's cute kid bonding with the crew bc I'm not made of stone, but the primary focus of this part of the story is on the dynamic between Ed, Alma and Izzy

Specifically with it mirroring the dynamic of Ed & his parents growing up

Alma= bb!Ed

Izzy= Ed's dad

Ed= His mum

So then it's Alma's POV of Izzy's abuse of Ed getting worse and eventually starting to spill over to her (Izzy generally fucking hates that there's this rando kid here now and also specifically thinks she's in the way of Ed being Blackbeard properly)

Culmination of the fic is Ed either killing or firing or otherwise doing something to Izzy to protect Alma (thematically it has to be murder but I don't like making my blorbo kill people)

This brings the parallel full circle with Ed protecting the kid he's basically adopted from a shitty violent white man in the way he wishes his mum had been able to protect him from his dad

Generic Blackbonnet Reunion Epilogue

The second idea newer and more vague but basically it's a TMA/Good Omens crossover called 'Hope, Love and Indigestion' (came up with the title first, can you tell?)

Current plot points include;

Aziraphale finds Pinhole Books while searching for a rare bible (leitners that are bibles anyone??)

The Boys(gn) adopt Gerry & exorcise Mary's horrible skin ghost & also get closure for Eric's horrible skin ghost

Something about how the Good Omens 'god' is the inverse of the TMA fear Entities, two halves of a whole that cannot exist without each other as per gomens themes about how binaries are dumb

Angels & demons are the positive entity equivalent of the fear avatars??? Maybe? Somehow?

Also I think Adam Young & Agnes Montague would get on really well

Mostly this is about how I like making A&C adopt traumatised children from other media

A bit iffy on the magical halo thing, but I've seen enough tokusatsu to know it can be handled well. I was gonna joke that from the way u describe her situation, Ava seemed to give off Ultraman vibes but then I realized that both shows were inspired by the same theology and have a relatively large LGBT following (at least in the corners of the internet that I frequently visit) soooooooo yea it's practically not even a joke atp LOL

I'll be sure to check it out and report back with my thoughts when I do!

(atm I'm flip flopping between "I probably have all the free time ever" and none at all depending on how my calc finals went coz those grades r going up soon and will determine whether or not I am forced to take summer courses. Q~Q)

Definitely interested in checking out those fanfics after the fact coz like I've seen when fanfics handle disability and some don't do it so well but when they handle it well, they can do it really damned well. (Post-canon Witch From Mercury fics hit sooooo hard,, if/when u get around to that, there's a LOT of good fics out there. The Morrigan is a personal fave of mine but there's another that handles a certain character's disability really well that I prob shouldn't spoil and can't anyways coz the name is eluding me atm for some reason)

ALSO YEAH I did NOT expect SuleMio to get this far coz we were up against some of the wildest ships to ever do it,,, gave me flashbacks to back when GOmens S2 hit my tumblr dash like crack cocaine,, and like Destiel was partially the reason I'm on this damned site to begin with so yeah. TT~TT,,,

SADLY no. But I can at least rec you artists I like in general, some of whom make comics or what have you, and then rec you tags to check on pixiv if it helps? NSFW links and mentions under the cut lol. I'm sorry if you don't even want that specifically, ig that's what 'doujin' connotates to me LOL. Nonetheless most of these recs are SFW.

this artist on twitter makes my absolute favorite comics/art... hopefully someday I'll be able to buy their doujins (god, I wish I could read their novels... *shakes down my husband to become proficient in JP faster*)..... as you can imagine I'm super picky about characterization and arrangement. This artist's take on Tsukasa issss.... a sort of sasoi uke. He wants to encourage Amane to attack him. I really love their work regarding the shinjuu. They capture an aspect of Amane not often well depicted..... They're locked right now, but they do frequently unlock. If you're curious about their work and wanna see it before following, you can DM me and I can send you some examples of it, if you don't wanna wait for them to unlock or to follow blindly!

Love this artist's work as well, again really good at depicting the shinjuu with respect to what we know of it. on twitter here. I adore this piece sooo much..... they also draw HanaNene!! When someone appreciates both, thats the best...

Nice evocative works from this artist.... also depicts the shinjuu in a way I find rewarding. I guess that's what I'm typically after.

Not into everything this artist draws, but they do a good amount of very soft, tender work of the Yugi, some of my favorite pieces in the fandom. So much overflowing love and adoration. Love this sequence.... this image is like GOD... GOD WE’RE WAITING FOR THE DAAAY!!! PLEEAASE

This artist makes good, evocative pieces of the Yugi.... again just, reverence for Tsukasa and the shinjuu, I need it.... this piece (which reads 'do you love me?') really sticks with me.

You know what else hinders me from being able to rec much NSFW is that I don't like.... anal at all ♥ I'm only really into hand/mouth stuff as far as the twins are concerned, and that's not really so common. Most things want to escalate to penetration .... my dream doujin would be of course Nene x Amane x Tsukasa, but that's rare even in single images, much less a doujin. I've gotta defeat my art block so I can draw it myself TT_TT..... even for HanaNene, I feel like I can't rec much 'cuz it's often depicted a little.... one-note? Just like a normal relationship? I'm as underwhelmed by depictions of HanaNene as a normal couple as I am depictions of the Yugi as a one-note abusive over the top rape yaoi, you know? Both ends of the spectrum are underwhelming.

there are a lot of comics of Yashiro getting fingered on pixiv..... I couldn't point you to entire doujins however, much less anything translated-- and even among the short comics on pixiv, nothing's really leapt out at me thus far (sad). Gomen. Stuff of that nature (doujin) isn't shared/spread in JP fandoms (since it'd be art theft lol), I don't think the eng side is really interested in scanning/translating AmaTsu or HanaNene doujin, lol. Not that I've really seen.....

Silly: I just can't get into P5 fanfics

(This is a joke dw, tho I am curious what keeps you from getting into P5 fics, at least generally)

Gomen anon. u_u I'm fine listening to ideas tbh!

I guess it’s dissecting what I like in fanfiction under the cut:

I'm just.....like It's a few things. The big thing is I gotta be in the mood for a fanfic. (right now, I'm not really in the mood for Persona fanfics, even of the games I do like). Sometimes it’s timing (I don’t have a lot of time to read). This is the biggest hurdle.

Then the next obstacle is......what I like, and what I like for each series I read.

I tend to like re-write what ifs. "What if this character dated this char?" or "What if the series was re-written but with this plot point." (Actually....that might be why I'm reading a lot of shojo "I got reincarnated *as the *insert char usually not the MC of* of a game/movie/book" or "I've gone back in time after I was killed and/or wronged and will avoid that fate" recently.....)

In that scenario with Persona (including just.....characterizing the silent MCs)........

P4 I think it's the one by Fortunesrevolver where Souji is NG+ post bad end, and is trying to recruit Naoto to change everyone's fate.

P3: What if Male/Female were both there? (namely The Fools' Tournament, Raison De Vivre, and I think another but the name escapes me). Be it that they are separate people (and will they kiss? O0O) or twins (they do not kiss hopefully, read more of these twin AUs during P3P's early years). There's also just "FeMC but she's kind of a dick but she doesn't voice it and the implications of that" (not really a what if but more leaning on just pure characterizing the MCs)...can't remember the name atm tho. 

I've probs read a few more under that umbrella but it's been a LOOOOONNNNG while

Next would be.....sequel fix. Looooove me some sequel fix. Read a lot of them (mostly P3 or P4/ P3 and P4 crossover) back before we got Arena and then the next sequel spinoffs.

P4: "Five years Later" and "Fate or Fortune" (oh gee they are also SouNao centered fics, how did that happen? 8U)

P3 same, tbh they are usually crossover with P4. I've read A LOT of these (mostly FeMC related ones) but it's too late for me to dig these up. Uhhhh The Fool's Turmoil is one (don't read unless you read The Fools' Tournament tho). 

And of course.....there's shipping. Sometimes it's fluff and not related to the above two. But it's usually related to the above two. I have to really care about a couple for that. (SouNao, MinaAi, SouHam, ShinjiHam, and MinaHam are what's drawn me tbh, MinaHam obvie shipped when they AREN’T siblings not that I’ve seen a whole lot of AU sibling ones that are shippy but it’s been like almost a decade since I last looked so I could be wrong!). Read lots. And yeah, shipping can be important. I'm 100% happy with no ships in my fanfics, but if there's a ship I DON'T like, it's a no-go. My ships or no ships. (this isn’t anything against the authors work obvie, I would like to think they’d be happy with me not....reading something that I know is not my speed). 

So where does P5 fit into all of this?

Well.....I really do not care of rereading P5's plot in a "what if" scenario (tbh I'll happily just stay in my own mind for that, I play around with my own scenario's tbh). Mostly cause I'm afraid of it.....being P5...and all it's.....P5-ness......but with added stuff. The closest I can see myself reading is a "fix it" fic rewrite but.....really depends on if I’m in the mood. 

I....do not care for a sequel with P5. Unless it is literally them falling from grace and getting their just deserts (and painstakingly going through how they really kinda screwed things up, crossover with past games is a plus but not required), then maybe. I'm a messy bitch who loves drama, the drama gives character development, PT become better and learn the error of their ways (and not the half assed bullshit that P5S does). But I’m not sure if people who genuinely like P5 and it’s cast would think that needs to happen. 

Then there's ships......I'm.....not really THAT invested in P5 ships.....to want to read them.... I do have ones I really don't like and other's I do like and would rather prefer seeing (but it’d probs be easier to just read a no-ships involved fic).

Anyway, yeah that’s what I like. Sequels, slight AUs/what if/rewrites (within universe/working relatively within canon, Non Persona Ex: What if Luz never went to the Boiling Isles and instead Amity was trapped in the Human World? still uses canon settings and rules but it’s an interesting “what if” scenario) , bonus points if my ships are in it. I usually like to work “in-universe” to something. If I’m just reading fluff it’s usually something in universe. And I don’t really care for like.....Coffee shop/Flower Shop AU, or doctors AU, or *insert thing that is completely separate from canon/working in universe* AU. I can see the appeal but it’s usually not for me (only real, true AU I think I read was a Samurai era one of SouNao.....can you tell I loved/still love SouNao?)

Untitled story.

A/N: I don't own anything. This is my first time writing a Fanfic. I've been looking for this ship but can't find any so I make one...

The winter cup just ended when Akashi saw for the first time

Seijūrō Akashi still can't believe he lost. His teammates already left. He is alone, sitting at one of the benches outside the staduim. He is looking at the cloudy dark sky.

"Um... h-hi" Seijuri look at the owner of the voice. A girl with two long braided hair, holding a white handkerchief. He blink several times, wondering what she's doing. "I- I saw t-the game" Seijuro almost cringe, but he is too amuse with this girl's blushing face "I.. also lost several games, when I'm.. just starting to play tennis" after hearning the said sport, he notice the tennis bag behind the she is carrying "I... actually still lost.. especially with my nii-sans.." Seijuro watch the girl take a deep breath "w-what I..am saying is, its normal to lose.. and cry... here its all yours" the girl put the handkerchief at his hand, he watch the girl run away. It takes a several moments when he realize, that he is crying. But now, his heart fells so light. He looks at the white handkerchief. Its just a plain white handkerchief with a big S at the corner. Akashi Seijuro smiles again.

The second time Akashi Seijuro saw her is on Tetsuya's birthday.

The Generation of Miracles + Momoi and Kuroro decided to spent kuroro's birthday playing basketball at one of the street court. He enjoys playing basketball after the winter cup. And he enjoys it more now he is playing with his friends like oldtimes. He saw Momoi sitting and watching them, he talks with the rest they decided to let Momoi play with them, she is also part of the team. Akashi decided to sit on the betch and watch his friends play, the boys are letting Momoi score every basket, and when Momoi missed, they all laugh. They continue playing when Kise stumble, all of them run towards Kise.

"I'm guys.. I just fell" Kise cheerfully said. Aomine notice a yellow-green tennis ball beside Kise.

"I think this is the reason, but how this ball end up here?" Aomine ask no one in particular. "Well I think we should take a break" everyone agreed, they walked to the bench, to take some break. When they heard a childrens laughter not far from them.

Mindorima picks the tennis ball "may be, this tennis ball is theirs. I give this back to them" but everyone wants to come, so they all follow the laughters. They didn't have to walk that far, just few steps they are already at the public tennis court.

Seijuro's eyes went wide. She is there, wearing a tennis attire with her hair in two buns. She is teaching 10 kids, how to play tennis. Seijuro didn't notice his friends are already walking towards the group of tennis player, he is busy watching her smiles at the kids succesful shoots.

"Ne, Aka-chin, don't you want to come?"

Seijuro blink several times and nod. The girl saw them waking and smile at them. His throat are too dry to greet her.

"Ryuzaki-san" the group look at koroko with confused face, "this is yours?" Then Kuroko show her the tennis ball, Seijuro watches her expression change, from confuse to happy to relieve.

"Hai! Kuroko-san" again the girl smile, but this time for Kuroko only, and he is not happy about it "though I wonder why you have it"

"Maybe one of the kids hit the ball to much, it end ups at basketball court" kuroko said.

"Ah.. Go-Gomen" the girl, who is Kuroko called Ryuzaki bow at them. Her voice, is more beautiful than he remembers.

"Ne, ne.. don't worry, no ones hurt" Kise said, too cheerfully for his liking "b-buttt how fo you know kurokocchi?"

Seijuro is waiting for the voice again but Kuroko answered the question "I apologize for my behavior, let me introduce her, -" once again the girl smiles at them, "This is Ryuzaki, Sakuno, she is the vice captain and one of the founder of girls tennis team. She is also my classmate. Ryuzaki, they are my teammates at middle school. Kise, Midorima, Murasakibara, Aomine, Akashi and Momoi-"

"Girlfriend, I'm Tetsu-kun's girlfriend" all of them sighed except for kuroko who doesn't show any expersion. The girl, Ryu-Sakuno just smile

"Oh, I know, Kagami told me"

"WHAT!" Kise and Aomine shout, the kids just look at them then continue playing tennis. Seijuro release his breath that he didn't know that he is holding.

Momoi just blush "Kagami likes to tease kuroko about his girlfriend, so the whole school knows about your relationship." Sakuno bow at them "It nice to meet you"

"I-its nice to meet you too" damn.. did he stutter. He hopes that no one notice.

Momoi finally recover and grin at Sakuno, "yeah, its nice to meet my boyfriend's friend"

"Ryuzaki, we don't want to distract you with you tennis lesson, we're going back to the basketball.. see you tomorrow" Sakuno just smile at them and wave. Wait is Sakuno looking at him?

"Ne, Tetsu we don't know you have other friends aside from your teammates." Aomine ask.

"Ah..." Kuroko answered.

"Ne..ne kurokocchi I'm curious hows your life at school, tells us about" Kise beg, Momoi has a hope in her eyes, and he also wants to know about Sakuno.

"Come on, tetsu-kun, we are also on break"

Kuroko just sighed and started telling the story, Seijuro listen carefully and take every information about Sakuno. Sadly, Kuroko didn't said anything about Sakuno or her personal life. Kuroko just said that they are a big group of first year, from different club, they become close because of Sakuno, and they all spent their sunday together, either playing different sports or having an advance study. They usually hang out at Kagami's house, 'cause he lives alone or at Sakuno's 'cause her parents are nice. And tomorrow is another celebration of Kuroko's birthday with the whole 1st year group, since kuroko's day is already full, with them this morning and this afternoon with basketball team which was organize by firsr year basketball member.

The group decided to joined the party this afternoon.

The third time he saw her is at the National Championship of Tennis (Girls divition).

Akashi is forever thankful for Momoi's unending source of information, they are now sitting and supporting the Seirin girls tennis team, which is compose of 7 first year with other Seirin first year. The first year group promise to support each others match, and that is the reason why Sakuno is at the wintercup even though she is a tennis player.

"Satsuki why you even drag me here" Aomine complained. Which is followede by yeah from Midorima and Muraskibara. Satsuki just rolled her eyes, and gave Murasakibara new sets of candy.

"Shh, Dai-chan shut up, we are supporting Tetsu-kun's friends" Momoi said, but she is not watching the game, she is looking at kuroko who is sitting beside her. Kise is shouting so loud cheering.

"Shut up Ahomine, some people are trying to much" Kagami said, while wathing at the game, singles 3, Seirin lost at Doubles 1, but won on doubles 2.

"Why you even watch this, this game is so boring"

The group heard someone cleared their throat. All of them up, at the seats behind them, they saw a group of men, glaring at them, the men are scary, specially the guy with oval glasses.

They continue to watch the game, the Seirin won the singles 3, the singles 2 will start soon when he heard the men at the back talking.

"Eh? The captain will play the singles 2? Why not the Saku-chan, she is the vice captain right" after hearing the word Saku-chan the other first year of seirin look at the source of the voice.

"We all know that Sakuno is a better tennis player, but we also know that she doesn't what to be the captain" the man with eyes closed said.

"They don't have a coach nya"

One of the first year has a guts to ask the group at the back. "Excuse me, do you know Ryuzaki-chan?"

And they went back watching the game, its true, she is an amazing player but she is againts a third year, Seijuro look back at Sakuno and watch her, she watch the match calmly like the another match, (yes he's been watching her since the first match,) after several minutes, Seirin won, Sakuno offers a towel, he watch them talk and look at the opponent.

Sakuno walks to the court, and face them, she wave at their area and everyone shout and cheer.

"I still can't believe Echizen break up with her" one of the man behind them said.

Seijuro recognize the name, Echizen, a Pro-tennis player. She is Echizen's ex-girlfriend. She likes a tennis player. Yes they are already broke up, but what if she still loves him. Different scenario played at his mind, but this end instantly when he heard the umpire.

Seijuro watch her play. He can't believe it, she plays so gracefully.

He watch every moves. Every shoot. Every jump.

How can she dives in ground so gracefully?

Her smile. God he loves her smile.

He loves her dance at the court.

He loves her shoots.

He loves her determined yet face face.

She won the game.

She won his heart with out doing anything.

Seijuro bid goodbye with his friendd, he doesn't know what to do. He can't face her now.

He walks aroud without destination, he ends up at a flowershop. Saw a flower on a small poy that reminds him of Sakuno, didn't think twice to buy the flower.

Now he has a flower, but don't know what to do. Pathetic.

The fourth time he saw her is at the interhigh, Rakuzan High vs. Too High,

He is sick, but he needs to play.

They are losing, he doesn't have enough energy, he is sick.

The ball went out the court, Seijuro decided to pick the ball, and he saw her.

She is at the entrance, she is holding the ball, she walks toward him and give the ball.

"There are still time, to win this game" she said to him. Only him. Looking at his eyes and smiling at him.

Seijuro nod and smirk "watch me win this game?" She nod and smile.

The game end, they won, he won. He look at sakuno who is smiling, then start walking out. Seijuro didn't wait for his teammates, he picks his bag and start running.

Seijuro saw her at bench sitting, looking at the starry sky. He sits beside her. Still watching her face.

"Congrats on winning" then sakuno look at him "I don't know you well, but I know you will win that game" she said smiling.

"T-Thank y-you"

"You're sick right?" They sakuno puts her hands at his forehead "and you didn't take a bath..." Sakuni said with a cute pout.

"Sorry, if I smell" Seijuro said with a slight blush.

"Its okay, but you need to rest"

"I will... um can I get your number?" Sakuno nod, and that is his best night.

After a months of texting and calling, they will finally meet, and hang out, just the two of them. And this is the day that he will ask her to be his girlfriend.
