If I may suggest something controversial, the translation for Ubu Roi should not be King Ubu, but Ubu Rex
#it's a riff on Sophocles! its not king oedipus its oedipus rex#and Jarry didnt name it Roi Ubu which WOULD be King Ubu#its Ubu Roi like Œdipe roi#= Oedipus rex & so therefore Ubu rex#anyways#rambles
