omg i had a thought about apocalypses and such and also tcd!! (unrelated to the au,, it's just my brainrot </3) could the apocalypse have been caused by a nuclear reactor explosion,, or just some sort of explosion kinda like the fallout games?? it would make sense for everything to get so cold/snowy in tcd because i'm pretty sure an explosion like that would cause everything to get super cold!! and all of the destroyed buildings would be because of that too,,,

But yeah!! TDC being cause by an explosion would be so cool!! I wonder how the virus spreads though, is it the radiation, something else? Or a mix???
