SO unfortunately for me because Captain is getting changed so much I now have the dilemma of Riku's persona choices. Again 💀

Lugh (second tier) is fine. I am adamant that is not changing - mostly because it fits but also because if I'm honest Lugh is my favourite Irish Celtic God and if I can be self indulgent with Mordred I can be self indulgent with Lugh.

Pimpernel on the other hand is trickier (surprise surprise). I think the reason I am so fixated on getting this right is because the initial persona to me is the most important one - its the one that people tend to remember the most and I feel like it's an important representation of the character.

I think what Pimpernel does fit with, in the context of the new stuff, is Riku's idea of rebellion? Perhaps? Like a gentleman hero who is a master of disguise and saves people from a terrible fate (that is a very bare bones view of Pimpernel mind you) makes sense on paper.

I think what I need to do is define Riku's idea of rebellion. It's kind of hard to put it in to words if I'm honest lol - I know Riku in my head he is like my best friend but when I try to explain it its like uhm 🧍‍♂️

None of this means that I'm actually going to change the persona - if anything this is just me typing my thoughts out.

like i lovee them being friends instead of an item because i’m tired of seeing black + white relationships in media n have people callin the creators ‘brave’ for something that’s been done for years. like i wanna see some black love 🗣️ is it that hard to ask for !?!?!

honestly to me, gwen is textbook definition of white girl but like i would love the idea of a afrolatino! gwen but at the same time, she’s just a white girl whose used to downplay the black characters to me (the way the fandom puts her n peter b on pedestals for being white people is insane and the victimblaming !!!!! using gwen’s actions as a crutch for her all because ‘she had nowhere else to go!!!’ like ok but she didn’t have to treat miles like that or hide IMPORTANT ASS info from him ughhhh)

i honestly don’t care for gwen x hobie because like i said before, tired of black + white relationships in media. i’m all there for miles x hobie, miles x margo or miles x hobie x margo tho <3
