there’s something intrinsically horrifying about jin that OG Blazblue fandom on tumblr missed because they were too busy making brother complex jokes.

Jin kisaragi as a character fundamentally does not have any free will regarding his emotions. His sword actively makes him want to kill his brother ragna, and that impulse overrides any thought he has. if Jim were for a moment to genuinely care about the well-being of ragna, the sword would override that thought immediately.

Can you imagine having an articfact/weapon that literally overpowers your own free will to have any rational thought ever? Don’t you think that’s horrifying? /genuinely serious question.

I have a lot of thoughts and feelings about jin kisaragi.

#To me jin I had a nondiscript mental illness (I’m not a doctor so I can’t properly diagnose a specific mental illness)#and his sword just exploits said mental illness and fragility #yes I know him has committed war crimes but do you think that’s because he’s been indoctrinated into military propaganda #or that he’s always like that.
