All I’m saying is that if you cancel a show after a cliff hanger season finale, you should be legally obligated to do an interview & tell the people how it was going to be worked out in the end instead of just leaving us there!!! It’s just common courtesy to finish the story you were in the middle of telling!
#yes Tay is yapping about fucking Scorpion again#Scorpion#but also !#Mysteries of Laura#The Nine Lives of Chloe King#The Winx Club#<< the live action version idk what it’s called lol#fucking Scorpion ends with Paige & Walter broken up & the team separated!#how were they going to fix that!! the people need to know!!!#it’s been years & it still haunts me#my lady jane#< that one didn’t really end on a cliffhanger but it absolutely deserves a 2nd season!!!#i have so many thoughts

"Caught In The Storm" *Part 9*
So....did y'all like that cliffhanger?
Because...HAHAHA JK THAT'S NOT THE ENDING.
No, but actually...it was the original ending, but the original ending ended up being REALLY short. So, I wrote an ALTERNATE ending, that actually I really would prefer being the ACTUAL ending, but it had to go a different direction BEFORE the cliffhanger, so....you see my dilemma.
SO---
Here's what we're gonna do:
I'm going to put the ORIGINAL ending first, and then space it out, and put the ALTERNATE [better tbh] ending.
That way, you can have both. And I don't have to backtrack to undo my mistake due to my ADHD brain changing things 24/7.
Kay? Cool.
Also no neither of these are the ACTUAL ending, I refuse to have an odd number of chapters. REFUSE. So chapter 10 will be like an epilogue. Don't look at me like that.

Part 10 (Epilogue is here!)
(This Gif is For the FIRST ending, there's a 2nd GIF that would be SPOILERS.)
Short Simple Ending #1
Raphael sat in his loft drinking scotch, for which he had done most of the day. He wasn't dressed, he hadn’t showered, he was a mess. He didn't know if he could ever come out of this. He sat there wallowing in his regret and sorrow, going over every interaction you two had ever had in your entire lives of knowing each other pinpointing everything he could have done differently. What he should have done differently, and the fact that if he had, you'd be there with him right now instead of getting married to someone you didn't love. He's just in the middle of chastising himself again when he heard a knock at the door.
“Liv, I told you I don't need your help; You can't help me right now!” he yelled to the door
“It's not Liv…”your voice came softly through the door.
His eyes lit up, he raced to the door and threw it open. Revealing you and your wedding dress, sopping wet.
“Well I hope you're happy!” you stomped into his apartment angrily.
“...What would I be happy about? Where is your husband? He asked half jokingly.
“I Don't HAVE a husband,” you spat.
“Really now?” He was enjoying this too much.
“No, I don't. And you just made me humiliate a poor, generous, loving, caring, amazing man. And I just dumped him in front of all of his friends and family, and in front of a million fans on a live stream and now everyone knows and I'm probably laughing stock right now!!!” you screamed angrily, pacing the apartment.
“I did all that?” He smirked.
“Yes, you did!” you crossed your arms as you walked back to him.
“And how did I do that?” He took both of your hands and pulled you closer, still smiling like a Cheshire cat.
“By telling me you love me!!!” you kept your angry face stoic. “How could I marry Nathan when I knew that I was supposed to be with someone else?”
“You couldn't,” He smiled.
“I couldn't…” You whispered as he pulled you even closer and took you in his arms.
“I love you Rafael,” you looked right into his big green eyes. It was the first time you had actually said it to him in those exact words, with all the love and emotion you had always meant it to be.
He stared at you for a moment, running through the words in his mind. He had yelled them so angrily and upset at you last night, not the way you needed. Not the way you deserved.
“I love you too, Y/N,” He smiled, cradling your face before pulling you into another mind blowing kiss; it had only been the second time you had ever kissed in your lives but it felt like you had done it a million times, like it was supposed to be this way. Like it was always supposed to be this way.
You were so glad you stayed through the storm.
-----
Actual" Really Long, Detailed, Funny Ending #2
-----
"But you don't love him,'' Rafael pointed out.
"You don't know that!" You snapped.
"Yes I do!" He shot back.
“How could you possibly know that?”
"Because you have never looked at him the way you look at me!" He exclaimed.
Your face went from upset and sad, to absolute rage after hearing him say that.
"You arrogant, selfish, son of a bitch…" you growled.
"How DARE you say that to me?! How DARE you use my own feelings and how much I loved you against me? Get out," You grabbed his arm and dragged him to the door.
"No look I'm sorry Y/N, but it's true. You don't love him and you're only marrying him to spite me!" He continued to dig himself a hole.
"So what?!” You said without thinking, making you both go wide eyed and silent.
“Are-- Are you serious?” He stammered.
“What if I was?” You now had an idea reeling.
“Wha...why would you…?” His eyes narrowed.
“Let’s say that I don’t believe you right now, which I don’t. And I kick you out of here, and I go through with my wedding in the morning? After ALL of this?” You gestured between the two of you.
"You're drunk, aren't you?" Rafael asked as he eyed the two empty bottles of champagne.
"Don't even-- Maybe," You stood in front of the view of the bottles. You waved it off, trying to focus.
“What if I told you that the ONLY way that I will believe that you are completely serious and NOT just drunk, is if you try and stop my wedding?” You smirked.
“You’re not--” Rafael started to laugh, but you kept a serious face on. “Seriously?”
“I don’t know Rafael, I guess we’ll see tomorrow who’s ‘serious’ and who’s not!” You slammed the door in his face, leaving him dumbfounded.
-------------
The next day you were in the bridal room getting ready; It was pouring rain outside, it seemed appropriate.
Amanda, Kelsey and Olivia were helping you polish your tiara, ironing your dress, fixing your makeup and all that jazz. Hundreds of fans lined outside the church since someone had leaked where you were getting married. Everything came down to this moment. It was supposed to be the biggest day of your life, and you were terrified. But not for the reasons normal brides would be worried about. For one you were hungover, and for two you had made the most idiotic ultimatum to Rafael last night. Why would you DO that?! Why did he bring out the absolute snarkiest, competitive side of you?
“You're shaking,” Amanda noticed.
“It's just nerves, you need some champagne'' Kelsey grabbed a champagne flute and shoved it in your hand; you downed it.
“You're doing the right thing,” Kelsey assured you, as if she knew what you were thinking. You looked at Olivia and Amanda.
“And what do you say?” You genuinely asked them both.
“I think that whatever you want to do is the right thing,'' Olivia replied, squeezing her hand. You smiled thankfully, glancing at the door.
He hadn’t come yet, maybe he was just drunk. Maybe he was lying in his bed hungover, wondering why he went and made an ass out of himself for no reason. Then again, maybe he was waiting for a big crowd for a huge display of affection, God WHY did you do this...
------
When it was time, you walked up to Finn who was waiting at the doors of the chapel. He was dressed in a tuxedo with a baby blue tie.
“You look beautiful, baby girl,” he smiled. “Are you ready to do this?”
“Now or never,” You smiled, still glancing at the exits. You noted the cameras that were set up to livestream this to millions of people; you had totally forgotten about that. Oh god, now if there was a “public display” it wouldn’t just go to the guests, it would be broadcast around the world!
The Wedding March began to play as the chapel doors opened. You proceeded to walk down the aisle and looked at everyone watching you. All of your past and present family from the SVU squad was there. Grandpa Kragen and Grandpa Munch, Uncle Brian, Uncle Tucker, etc.
Then you looked at Nathan's family, a bunch of white rich stuffy but welcoming people. You noticed all of the crowds lining outside the windows of the church cheering you on, some crying, some holding signs. Then you looked at Nathan waiting for you at the end of the aisle smiling proudly. He really did love you.
You reached the end of the aisle and took Nathan's hands.
“Dearly beloved, we're gathered here today…”
The Preacher went on through the normal wedding exchanges until he got to “the” line..
“If anyone here has any reason that these two should not be wed, please speak now or forever hold your peace,” The preacher announced as you held your breath.
You anxiously looked around the chapel, looking for any sign of Rafael. Maybe he had snuck in the back, or was hiding behind a lady with a hat. He was going to come, wasn’t he? Maybe you were right, maybe you were right along.
….Nothing. He wasn’t there. He didn’t come…
You felt your heart shatter, you were officially dead inside. And now the husk of you was being married off to this poor man.
“Do you Nathan Lee Price, take YN to be your lovely wedded wife, now and forever, through richer and poorer, sickness and health, before and after you both shall live?
“I do,”
“Y/N, do you take Nathan Lee Price to be your lovely wedded husband, now and forever, through richer and poorer, sickness and health, before and after you both shall live?”
You looked to Nathan, then you looked to your side of the wedding, then you looked to his side, you looked to the fans outside again, you looked to the sky, looked to the ground and then you looked back at Nathan.
"I…"
“NO SHE DOES NOT!!!!”
The chapel doors swung open revealing Rafael dressed in a tuxedo. The entire room gasped in horror, and you tried your best not to run to him right then and there. He ran down the aisle until he reached the altar.
“I’m sorry sir, we’ve already past the--” The preacher started to talk but Rafael put a hand in front of his face.
“I don’t care, padre,” He chortled.
"Cutting it a little close there, counselor," You muttered.
"You're the one who chose to get married during rush hour in New York City, carino," He winked.
“Man, are you serious? Really? You’ve had all this time, and you decide NOW that you want my fiancé?” Nathan asked him in a hushed voice, trying to be discreet.
Rafael however, was NOT trying to be discreet.
“This woman told me last night, if I really loved her, that I would come and stop this wedding,” He was addressing the crowd. “That I would stop her from making the biggest mistake of her life,” He turned to you and Nathan. “Marrying someone she does not love,”
The room gasped again, Nathan’s family looked horrified. Camera phones began filming, fans outside were going NUTS.
“...Is that true, Y/N?” Nathan asked you with the most pitiful look.
“I mean I--” You looked from him to Rafael, who had a huge grin on his face. Well, you DID ask for this.
“I didn’t use those exact words,” You shrugged apologetically. The pastor closed the Bible, the guests were chattering like mad, cameras flashed, the mob outside began to force themselves inside to see the drama.
“I..I can’t believe this, I can’t believe you…” Nathan shook his head in disbelief.
“Nathan I’m really sorry, I just--” You looked at Rafael again; his grin wasn't going anywhere anytime soon. “I had to be sure that he really loved me,”
“So he had to PROVE his love to you, when I have shown it to you EVERY SINGLE DAY?” Nathan started to yell, forgetting about appearances.
“I mean, no-- it’s a whole thing, you wouldn’t understand--” You started to laugh unintentionally, thinking of how you and Rafael had your own twisted sick sense of humor.
“You’re goddamn right I don’t understand!” He continued to yell.
“...She’s a flair for the dramatic Nate, what can I say?” Rafael smirked as he stepped up on the stair you were standing on and wrapped an arm around you. You really hated that you were enjoying this at Nate’s expense but-- Rafael was right. You wanted him to publicly admit it, and he delivered. And you were ecstatic.
“Yeah well, I hope you’re both happy in dramatic HELL,” Nathan spewed before stomping off out of the chapel with his groomsmen quickly tailing him. His side of the wedding began exiting the chapel furiously grumbling and yelling profanities at you.
You glanced at your side of the room, the entire NYPD. They all surprisingly looked very pleased, although some people like Kragen were skeptical about this suave ADA coming in here and sweeping you off your feet. They shook their heads and a few applauded, especially your current family.
“Oh we’re not done folks,” Rafael announced as he grabbed the preacher before he could leave.
“Wha...what now?” You were confused but growing more excited by the second.
“You wanted me to be sure that this is what I wanted,” Rafael took both of your hands. “And I want you to KNOW that this,” He gestured between the two of you. “This is all I will ever want, for the rest of my life. And I want to prove it to you,” He smiled at you and pulled something from his jacket pocket.
“Oh, Rafa you really don’t--” You started to say that stopping this wedding was proof enough for you, but he was already down on his knees.
“Y/N….Will you marry me?” He asked. “....Right now?” He added, gesturing to the preacher. Now it was your side’s turn to gasp loudly again, as you stared at the huge diamond ring Rafael was holding out to you.
Where did he get that? WHEN did he get that? Had he been planning on proposing to you before? A zillion questions ran through your brain but you did your best to quiet them all so you could focus on the ONE question that mattered right now.
“....DUH!” You finally slapped him over the head playfully and grabbed the ring from him. He laughed and slipped it on your finger before pulling you into a beautiful, perfect kiss. Everyone on your side laughed and cheered, happy their baby girl was getting her happy ending.
“Well alright then, I guess let’s start this thing over!” The preacher laughed, opening his Bible once again.
“Rafael Barba, do you take Y/N to be your lovely wedded wife, now and forever, through richer and poorer, sickness and health, before and after you both shall live?” He asked Rafael.
“I do,” Rafael beamed at you.
“Do you--” .
“WAIT,” You put up a hand to stop him, making everyone start to mumble curiously again. Rafael’s face fell.
“...Are you serious? You’re changing your mind?” He muttered anxiously.
“No!” You shook your head. “No I…” You looked at the floor. “God this is so stupid…” You laughed to yourself nervously, not really believing you were actually going to admit this.
“....What?” Rafael raised an eyebrow.
“I um…” You bit your lip. “Oh God…” You turned to the preacher. “Sorry!” He brushed it off.
“Baby what are you--” Rafael was seriously starting to worry.
“Please, please don’t freak out,” You begged him. His eyes remained confused, but soft and understanding.
“Okay…” He gave you a look.
“I um,” You took a deep breath. “I may or may not have learned this...just in case,”
You took another deep breath, and recited the words you had practiced in front of your mirror for MONTHS after you had first met Rafael.
“Yo, Y/N, te tomo a ti, Rafael Barba, como mi esposo,”
Rafael immediately broke into the biggest smile you may have ever seen on him, tears instantly wet his eyes as you spoke.
“Prometo serte fiel en lo próspero y en lo adverso,” You continued, vowing you were NOT going to break down crying.
“en la salud y en la enfermedad, Amarte y respetarte todos los días de mi vida.,” You finished successfully without shedding a tear, unlike Rafael who was a full on hot mess of tears in front of you.
“Baby I…” He shook his head in disbelief. “I can’t believe you did that,” He whispered, tears still catching in his throat.
“I told you,” You bit your lip. “I have always been in love with you,”
“And I am so in love with you,” He grinned, pulling your face into his for “the” kiss.
“Well I guess you can kiss the bride!” The preacher laughed sarcastically as everyone broke into cheers.
You glanced up at the cameras as you walked down the aisle with your new husband. God you hoped that hadn’t blown up in your face, but if it did-- you had your Rafa to hold you through the storm.

Request: can you write something where the reader calls steve "stevie" for the first time during some random cute moment and he's just like, really flustered and cute about it -anon
Thanks for the request hon! Hope you like it!
Warnings: any inaccuracies and grammar mistakes (it’s midnight for me once again)
Indulging.
It could be a sin.
And here you were indulging in a nice buttery bag of fresh popcorn. Tony had recently invested in a vintage popcorn machine and the whole team couldn’t get enough of the new fad item.
Repeatedly you popped the delicious treat in your mouth, savoring every salty bite. Think of it as a reward! The whole team, including you, had gotten back from a night mission that left you feeling sleep deprived. So instead of sleeping like most of the team, you stayed up with Wanda making popcorn and binging the Hunger Games. She had never seen any of the movies before and you figured what better time than at the ungodly hour of 3 am to start a twelve hour marathon.
Somehow Wanda was wide awake, maybe blame it on the cliffhanger of each movie keeping her so energized. You reached in the bucket and to your surprise, your hand had almost reached to the bottom.
Just shrugging, you crunched on the last few pieces of popcorn before suddenly yelping in pain.
Wanda immediately paused the movie and rushed to your side from her end of the couch.
“Oh my gosh! (y/n) are you ok?!”
The immense amount of pain was so strong you couldn’t even form words, just tears.
“I’m gonna go get Steve!” With that Wanda rushed down the hall and to the elevator, leaving your hand glued to the point of pain in your jaw.
Seconds later Steve came running in, only sweats on, he didn’t even care to throw on a shirt, too worried about your well being. If your tooth would stop palpitating, maybe you could be amazed by his carefree state, but at the moment you cared more about the tooth.
Steve crouched down in front of you, holding your face in his hands, while Wanda went to go turn on the lights. It was 7 am and no one cared at this point if the team could hear or not.
“Sweetheart, I need you to let me see what’s wrong.”
Reluctantly, you removed your hand and he patted your thigh reassuringly before placing his hand back to its original place on your face. Gently prying your mouth open, Steve looked around the best he could in the morning lighting. In a matter of minutes, Steve saw your back right molar cracked.
“Oh honey, your molar is cracked.”
A sound of distress came from you and Steve laughed, earning a smack from Wanda.
She went to go get you an ice pack while Steve helped you up from the couch to take you back to bed. Wanda handed you the pack of ice that was more valuable than your life at the moment. In appreciation, you hugged her before she continued her movie marathon.
It was almost impossible to sleep the remaining three hours. You tossed and turned in an attempt to calm your nervousness. Steve was out like a light, the poor baby was so worn out from the day's event.
That very morning, Steve immediately got out from the bed and made an emergency appointment with your dentist.
“Ok babe, your appointment is at 10:30, you better get going.” He sat on the edge of your bed brushing your hair to reveal your baggy eyes. A frown rolled onto his face and he kissed a side of your cheekbone.
The clock read 9:00 am, meaning you best get up now or suffer in pain, you could always sleep later. Right?
Due to Steve’s military upbringing and his punctuality, you were there exactly at 10:30 am. The office was practically empty except for the receptionist and the tv playing in the corner. It couldn’t be that bad? Just a filling, that was all you were hoping for, but nope!
“Ms. (y/l/n) your right mandibular 2nd molar is split into two separate parts. You’ll need an extraction” The doctor looked at your face of fear as your eyes grew wide.
The doctor went on giving you all the details and pros and cons. He mentioned it needed to be done now so the crack wouldn’t further. You were put in a position to basically be forced to agree.
“Doll, it’s gonna be fine.” Steve kissed your forehead before the dental assistant ushered him to the waiting room.
Your breathing and heart increased tenfold as they put the mask on your face, pushing nitrous oxide into your body, finally causing your body to calm.
While under anesthesia you had no sense of time whatsoever, you could barely even remember when you fell into the dark void of sleep.
It must’ve been an hour that passed before you woke up to the dental assistant giving you some precautions and telling you to take it easy before she left. The anesthetics made it impossible to focus on what she was saying. Your head was spinning and you tried your best to act normal. Mission Failed.
Steve walked in after speaking with the doctor who was giving him the numerous amount of pain medicine prescriptions. You could blame it on the medicine, but his smile seemed so bright. Honestly, it felt like you were hungover.
“How are you feeling, (y/n)?” Steve stroked your face, well actually the jaw wrap around your head. He felt absolute pity for you. One minute you were enjoying your precious popcorn and then the next it cracked your tooth.
You just giggled at his touch, slightly tossing around in the chair. Steve looked completely baffled, after all he had never been around anyone under the influence of nitrous oxide. Back in his day, you were wide awake probably screaming internally to yourself the question of why you were there in the first place.
“Hiya Stevie! Oh! You’re gorgeous!”
Giggles once again spewed from your mouth as you turned to look at the blonde who was blushing madly. You had only been dating for a month by now and of course there were pet names, but never Stevie. Naturally, Steve’s reaction was to be embarrassed, but that didn’t mean that he thought it wasn’t cute.
“Don’t you get all shy on me now, Cutie!” Your hands went to his face to smoosh his cheeks and lips together, creating a duck face.
“Hon, I think you should get some rest now, c’mon.” Steve tried to help you up from the chair since the doctor had already discharged you.
“Stevie! Just like Stevia the sweetner!” In a sing-songy voice, you garbled out the words.
Let’s just say after many attempts, Steve finally just wrapped his arms around your waist. It was hilarious! You tried to kiss his face the whole way, and just ended up laughing endlessly, all while high on the laughing gas. If he weren’t so busy caring for you, Steve would have loved to record this and blackmail you later. Well, not blackmail per se, just payback after you recorded him one night, drunkenly blabbering about his love for you. Yeah, Thor let him have the Asgardian Mead…
Once Steve got you in the car and secure, you both went to go get the pain medicine. It was about a few minutes later, you were still talking, claiming you were fine, but mid sentence you just fell asleep causing Steve to snicker. At the stop light he snapped a picture of you sleeping with your mouth wide open, leaning on the seatbelt with your jaw wrapped. You’d absolutely murder him later, but that’s a whole other story.
The prescriptions were unexpectedly ready in time, making the drive back to the compound even shorter.
Steve himself was tired, yet he pushed through, carrying you from the car all the way to your shared room. You stirred and found yourself on his shoulder.
“Woah buddy boy! We haven’t even gone on a date yet!”
You slurred and laughed to yourself, falling back asleep, but not before catching a glimpse of Tony and Natasha, mocking the incident that just happened.
Carefully, Steve laid you from his shoulder and onto your bed.
He pecked your forehead before changing into his own pair of comfortable clothes, snuggling against your smaller body. He didn’t fear that he’d wake you up because at the current moment you were snoring louder than a middle aged man.
Many hours later, the sun was down, meaning it must’ve been dinner time. You groggily awoke from your sleep, trying to recollect your memories. As you looked around the room, Steve’s side was empty and you went to turn on the lamp on the nightstand only to be met with one thing…
The picture Steve had taken of you in the car with a note which read; “Dinner will be ready soon, doll.” A small winky face beside the ending. That sneaky son of a biscuit knew exactly what he was doing!
You just picked up the picture and burst into a fit of laughter.
Okay so maybe you deserved it…

Jenna Coleman’s 2019 year in review
Similar to last year, I intend to use these last few days of the year to summarize and review the events of this year with a focus on Jenna Coleman.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/ae11be076b68a57f89c87e1c0f49f621/c7dc256a8a0c70ae-bd/s540x810/7d6556d93156e30ec7e617b9d619a4482a670ad4.jpg)
The year started out strong, with Victoria series 3 airing on PBS in the US from the 13th of January to the 3rd of March. Jenna visited New York, and appeared on the Today Show, and the BUILD series on January 9th, to promote the new series. She was also featured in two magazine interviews; one for The Last Magazine, and another for WWD, on January 9th and 11th, respectively.
Simultaneously, The Cry was released in Australia in the period from the 3rd to 24th of February. Jenna did not do any active promotion for it, but The Cry was certainly well promoted, and very well received.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/28d170f31f8948cd241667ea2403d9fe/c7dc256a8a0c70ae-a8/s540x810/a635a30c239569be4fa89555c51d71b66a312301.jpg)
On the 16th of February, The Guardian published an interview with Jenna Coleman that went incredibly viral, especially one particular anecdote about her buying a sandwich at Leeds train station.
On February 17th, it was announced that Jenna Coleman would be starring in the fifth series of Inside No. 9. That was the date when filming for the new series reportedly began. Jenna must have filmed her part in the rest of February, and possibly also in the first few days in March. Little is known about her role so far, but IMDB says that she plays a character called “Beattie” in the second episode of this series. The initially planned release date of autumn 2019 was obviously not met. Steve Pemberton wrote on Twitter that its release would be delayed until the start of 2020, but we don’t know of any date yet.
ITV delayed the start of Victoria series 3 in the UK until March 24th, to the disappointment of some UK fans, who didn’t want to wait more than 2 additional months. There was next to no promotion ahead of the first episode of series 3 in the UK. The promotion that did occur was delayed by a few weeks, but then it was too little and too late. ITV really botched this with their refusal to announce the start date to anyone sufficiently early, and their lack of planning. Jenna appeared on the Zoe Ball Breakfast show on the 2nd of April, and on the Jonathan Ross show on the 5th of April, ahead of the third episode. She was also interviewed by Harper’s Bazaar, and The Telegraph magazines.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/c644274908f217fe016a08569bd3be41/c7dc256a8a0c70ae-a5/s540x810/bede99a8a2a4baca0f3d686c90457fa71595ba09.jpg)
I personally really enjoyed Victoria series 3, I like the way it transitioned to a different era of Queen Victoria’s life, how it portrayed numerous themes, its overarching storyline, and many individual episodes. I think it has the greatest consistency in terms of story quality of the three series. Jenna Coleman gave fantastic performances throughout. But the series didn’t get received as well by some critics and by some fans. It is very different in tone from the first two, which is however to be expected.
Despite the cliffhanger ending of series 3, the future of Victoria is uncertain at the moment. Jenna said that Victoria would go on a bit of a break after series 3, even before it aired. Daisy Goodwin did say that she was already working on series 4 at the time when series 3 aired in the UK. But since then there has not been any news of further development in that direction. Victoria has neither been cancelled nor extended. But it currently looks like it will still be a while until the next installment, if it ever happens. Recently, PBS announced its plans for 2020, including a statement that Victoria was currently on hiatus. The new executive producer of Masterpiece PBS had the following to say:
It's a program, obviously, we loved. Jenna Coleman is absolutely the best and she's very busy and so we'll hope that it might come back.
Well that is not completely true, as Jenna wasn’t that busy after All My Sons finished. Her role in The Serpent was not confirmed until much later. So Jenna’s busyness is not the reason for the Victoria hiatus.
Jenna also participated in the “Victoria in her own words” event at Kensington Palace, merely one day after the end of her All My Sons performances, on June 9th. That remains her last performance as Queen Victoria to date.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/ffe60ef2cf26671b3f07b25ed36aaa79/c7dc256a8a0c70ae-39/s540x810/be80e3753f65c386452ebe197af900ad3b171b2d.jpg)
On March 28th, Jenna was snubbed of the BAFTA she would have deserved to win, starting a precedent that continues on to today, of Jenna’s unbelievable performance in The Cry being largely ignored in award shows. Instead of supporting great performances, BAFTA instead decided to nominate and in the end also give awards to shows which clearly do not satisfy their very own requirements. Fortunately Jenna’s performance was not ignored completely. Despite being completely snubbed at the BAFTAs (and now also at the Golden Globes), Jenna did win the ‘Most Outstanding Actress Award’ at the Australian Logies, and was nominated for ‘Best Actress’ in the International Emmy Awards, the Scottish BAFTAs, and the AACTA awards. She was also nominated for ‘Most Popular Actress’ in the Logies. Once again, it seems like only other countries appreciate her brilliance. Of her 5 nominations this year, only 1 was from the UK. That is a rather alarming sign of the state of the UK acting awards. For an actress who is predominantly active in the UK, the ratio of nominations in the UK to nominations elsewhere should be much higher than it is.

In March, Jenna started rehearsing for her role as Ann Deever in a theatre production of All My Sons at the Old Vic theatre in London. All My Sons hit the stage in the period of 13th of April to 8th of June. For the occasion, Jenna also made an appearance on the Graham Norton radio show on April 11th. That was a very, very special day for me, as it was the first time I met her; first at the BBC radio 2 studios, and then at the Old Vic. Jenna was also interviewed for The Times about her role in All My Sons. A recording of the play was made for NT Live, which was subsequently seen in cinemas all around the world. Jenna had not been involved in any theatre production for more than 10 years, because she was constantly involved in one TV show or another. She explained that she had searched for a play to appear in for a while now, and she seems to have been very satisfied with her choice of All My Sons. It remains to be seen if she will do more theatre work in the future, or if this was just a one-off event.

Jenna noticeably stepped down her number of Comic Con appearances this year, only attending the London Film and Comic Con convention from the 27th-28th of July. I met Jenna again at this convention, which was once again a wonderful experience that I will always treasure. But given how the organizers and some ‘fans’ treated Jenna at the Comic Con, it is unsurprising that this was her only appearance at a Comic Con this year, and why she hasn’t agreed to attend any Comic Con since then.
The first half of the year was undoubtedly very eventful. The same can however not be said for the latter half, at least not in regards to publicity. Jenna’s future remained unknown, for the first time in many years, throughout June, July, and August. However, on the 8th of September, Jenna was announced to have been cast in the role of Marie-Andrée Leclerc in the 8-part BBC1 and Netflix historical crime drama “The Serpent”. Jenna had already traveled to Thailand two weeks before the announcement, and has been filming the series almost continuously ever since then. Filming is taking a break at the moment for the holidays, but will continue in 2020. A release date is not yet known.
In a surprising turn of events, September 16th marked the release of the supposedly lost short film Jenna had shot in 2010 or 2011 in the USA. It was originally billed as “Imaginary Forces”, but was now released as “Corporate Monster”, and you can watch it here.
