@aparticularbeach moving to a separate post but this actually made me think a lot and I consulted a friend for this eventually settling on the idea that they would be opposed to the idea of the league system and competitive battling

this has a two fold approach, from the equivalent of N, who genuinely is under the impression that battling is only a form of violence and that the world would be better without it

and the leaders of team plasma whose goals are more along the lines of them trying to become the only ones who are powerful enough to assert control by taking out this system of powerful pokemon
