But with tumblr, likes act as a bookmark. Nobody else sees them. They don’t boost a post. They don’t help the original poster. Unlike in instagram where likes actually push ‘content’ forward, likes on tumblr don’t push exposure. They sit in your likes box.

The recent reblog-likes ratios have been staggering and massively disheartening for artists (which is largely why I moved my art to instagram in the first place— a like is the most minimal amount of engagement but at least likes do something there).

If you really wanna help artists (especially growing artists) out, please opt to reblog instead of like. If you don’t wanna post all at once, throw it in the queue.

The artists of tumblr will appreciate you greatly.

On the topic of Bruce being overpowered in threads:

Despite his enormous size and strength, Bruce exercises pacifistic morals, and tends to avoid conflict. Like other sharks (or Cetea, verse-depending), he is typically wary of humans.

If a human is visibly carrying a weapon, Bruce will be considerably more cautious than if a human is empty-handed. My partner can decide whether or not to give their muse an upper-hand by arming them— or even giving them a bag, coat, or anything that can conceal a weapon.

Unless the meme submission or plot calls for it, Bruce is more likely to flee from potential danger than attack. If he does attack, I will always leave it open to my partner to decide if a blow lands— and even then, Bruce only attacks to strike a weapon away from someone. My partner can also choose to fire said weapon before Bruce gets near them.

In both canon and Cetus verse, guns do have an extreme effect on Bruce (and other more ancient weapons like swords and spears in Olog/Troll verse); like a grizzly bear, a bullet to his hide might not kill him outright but will slow him down. Any good shot with a gun (aimed at the head) is fatal to Bruce.

As a result, Bruce will rarely attack a gun-armed muse unless provoked, cornered, or unable to talk his way out of it.

Bruce never attacks to kill, only to disarm. The only exception to his latency to attack is if one of his own friends is in danger.

How I run my blog

SPEED: Fairly fast. I will always get to someone’s reply within a week, at least. Additionally, I usually post weekly updates on Sunday nights, telling everyone the threads I have currently in my drafts. If someone sees they are missing from the list and it’s my turn to reply, I highly encourage a reminder!

REPLIES: Anything ranging from single-paragraphs to multiple (ten or more) paragraphs is my usual style. I tend to reserve one-liners for crack-roleplay. Icons aren’t required, and I’ll always try to match my partner’s reply length.

STARTERS: If I’m the one asking for the interaction, you can always count on a starter from me! As such, I usually would prefer similar courtesy in return, if it’s not too much trouble!

INBOX: Open to everyone! I’ll be honest, I don’t get around enough to inbox messages as quickly as I do to text posts. *** If you’re interested in making a starter for me, I’ll get to it much quicker if it’s a text post tagged @ me than if it’s in my inbox. I just tend to focus on my drafts more than inbox.

SELECTIVITY: I’m selective (mutuals-only), but please don’t let that intimidate you! We can try some things out if you’re really hankering for an interaction, especially if you have a specific plot in mind. I switched from non-selective to selective recently, only because I have issues turning down roleplayers, so I’d ask you just to not abuse my leniency. 

WISHLIST: Always here and ready! Definitely want some interactions from roleplayers in the M.arvel, It (2007), Stranger Things, or Tolkien universes!

Important PSA

|| // Hey, guys. So some stuff went down two days ago, but I really want to give some context and clarification. First of all, @xelision and I talked privately, and she had been previously harassed by a certain anon, and had mistaken my response to be something along the similar terms. The IT and Stranger Things rpc has also recently been hit with brutal anon hate which is why xelision has kept up her guard- no ill will wishes towards me.

Furthermore, I should have never escalated things to the context of suicide or self harm, or at least bringing her into it as a cause. I’ve just been struggling so much for so long, I had misunderstandingly felt this as the straw that broke the camel’s back. Even so, that doesn’t justify dragging xelision into it.

In retrospect, I should have been a little more aware of the anon-induced situation in the IT and DT rpc, and sent it off anon instead which might have prevented this in the first place.

This has been a misunderstanding, and it has come to my attention that xelision has been receiving death threats on this situation. I would truly hope that none of my followers would fall to that disgusting and irredeemable level as to send someone a message to kill themselves. Such anon hate is beyond repulsive and has absolutely no room in this community.

I hope everybody can understand that is was just a misunderstanding, so we can move past this.
