When Angela first met Philza, she could sense that there was something special about him; even when there was a great distance between them on the battlefield within the Greed Ring. She was eager to learn more about him. . . .if he survived the trial. Thankfully, circumstances allowed her to not only learn more about him, but he wished to do the same with her.

Such curiosity brought out the ice wall in to the forefront, reluctant to expose the scars of her past. When he managed to push past her cold exterior, there were many emotional bumps in the road that she had to prepare him for. It took her a while to rewind herself when he comforted her, she had to think of where she stood with her emotions with him.

She was so happy that he was patient with her. Though he said those special three words first, it took her a while longer to return those words. For all of her pride, she knew that in most of her former relationships, she was being used. However, upon further inspection of their interactions together, he seemed to truly care for her. He wasn't using her for her divine abilities, nor to bribe her for information.

He genuinely cared for her. His questions stumped her a few times -here, and there. Inquiring about her dreams and goals for the future, things she barely had the mind to think on as she was God's Messenger as an Angel of Massacre. She cared little about getting her hands dirty from the blood of those who were unworthy. Alas. He made her feel as if she were truly alive again. She even dared to show off an old memento from a time in the past. Oh, the smiles and giggles that erupted from her features made her cling to him. It was then that she felt it was finally right to return those special three words.
