"Acting Grand Master, you have a visitor."

After being given permission to enter, the knight gave a quick bow and stepped out of the office. A moment later, Yuuki poked her head through the door, a grin on her face as she stepped in and nudged the door closed with her foot.

"Hi Jean." With her hands behind her back and hidden beneath her coat, she walked over to the desk. "I'm sure you're busy, but I hope you're not too busy right now? I was... hoping to see you. I really missed you these last few weeks."

Singing

Yuuki's father was firmly against her becoming a Knight or Adventurer when she was younger. Before she enlisted, he made her try other career options, which included singing as a bard. Yuuki took lessons as a child, developing a beautiful singing voice even though she was strongly against the idea of it as a career choice. She also learned to play the lyre and piano and became proficient in the latter.

Nowadays, you won't find Yuuki singing or playing much of anything, at least of her own volition. She does sing or hum while bathing, but she won't sing for you unless she likes you. Playing either instrument is only something she does if specifically asked.

A collection of outfits Yuuki wore while on her journey to become Elden Lord, as well as how and when she obtained them under the cut, because the screenshots are pretty big.

Coming to the Lands Between, Yuuki first wore the blue cloth nomadic set(not pictured). When reaching the Academy of Raya Lucaria, she donned an incomplete set of their prized armor.

During her short-lived service to the Volcano manor, she took the armor set of Vargram, the Raging Wolf after slaying him. This armor was worn well into her service to Ranni and Fia.

At the end of her direct service to Ranni, Yuuki replaced Vargram's armor with Blaidds, after killing the maddened man-wolf. Initially, it was worn out of respect for her fallen comrade and friend, but the burden(as well as the armor) became too heavy for her to bear.

Yuuki's hair turned white after consuming her first dragon heart in Caelid. After defeating Mohg, she was drawn to the Land of Shadow by Leda and Miquella. Her initial stay there was not long, but during her time there she found the Oathseeker's armor, and took the twinblades from Rellana after defeating her, though she initially kept the helmet off.

Yuuki's common travel clothes. Finding most armor a bit bulky to move around in, she dons an altered Drake Knight armor chest piece and gauntlets found in the Crumbling Farum, as well as a Navy Hood and the Oathseeker greaves. A mix of mobility and style, at least in her eyes. For the most part, this is what she is seen in.

When preparing for a difficult fight, Yuuki dons the rest of the Oathseeker armor set.

Bonus:

As a foreign Hunter in Yharnam, Yuuki dons the typical Hunter attire, her only alterations being the Tomb Prospector's hood she found, and the Crowfeather Manchettes taken after Eileen's death. Yuuki is almost always seen with Ludwig's Holy Blade and Evelyn.

Without the hood. While Yuuki's hair doesn't change color, small white streaks begin to dot her hair after witnessing the truth of the Hunt. With a significant amount of Insight, her eyes turn green.

Bonus, Dark Souls 3. I wish I could say there was as much thought here as the others, but it's still super early in this playthrough and this is the only armor set I've obtained.

I'm going to make a post on Yuuki's actual abilities outside of her Vision one day, but today I wanted to focus on their aesthetic and how they evolve as she learns about them. Under the cut because the reference images are pretty big, I didn't want to skimp on the detail by making them small rough icons.

Yuuki's "default" state. While her eyes always emit a low light glow, this will intensify slightly when she uses Anemo from her Vision.

When Yuuki utilizes Fanchon's power, great wings 'sprout' from her back, similar to the ones her predecessor had. While not strong enough for any kind of sustained flight, she can use them to smack her opponents around or shield herself if need be. And while she can't fly, she can float/glide using them.

The more intensely Yuuki fights, the brighter they will glow. However, if she gets tired or too badly injured, they will crumble and disappear prematurely. As of writing this, she has not pushed herself enough to warrant the wing's appearance at will, only utilizing them once in her dreams(Genshin verse) and in her battle against the synthetic swarm king.(Star Rail verse)

When Yuuki absorbs and channels another element via the Origin Wing her appearance will change slightly in a similar fashion to when it would turn green under certain circumstances. Her hair, wings, and the burns on her hands will flow with colored streaks of the element while she is channeling it.(Red for Pyro, purple for Quantum, etc;) The cracks, or gaps between the segments of the sword will glow with the same color when she has possession of it.

Yuuki and The Trailblaze

The path of the Trailblaze is severely weakened due to Akivili's disappearance, held aloft by the Nameless traveling aboard the Astral Express. With no Aeon to bless anyone, the notion of an Emanator was far-fetched. How could anyone be blessed by an Aeon that was presumed dead?

Long ago, the Aeon of the Traiblaze befriended the Anemo Sovereign upon visiting their planet. The two became so close that the dragon was offered a place at the Aeon's side, a ticket to join them on their journey across the stars. Due to prior obligations and promises, the dragon was forced to turn down the offer. Instead, the two promised to meet again, to journey together under new circumstances with little to no previous ties.

"I understand. Then perhaps this little blessing will guide you to me when the time is right. No matter what form you take, you will be a welcome member of the Astral Express."

Yuuki is the result of that promise. A human born with the dragon's soul, blessed by the Trailblaze. She embodies the concept of Trailblaze and Freedom as much as their respective progenitors, if not more. This manifests in a few ways that Yuuki isn't even aware of.

Most notably her impulse to explore and discover, which influenced both her early career choices and her recent life choices. This isn't limited to locales but experiences and people too. Yuuki is open to differing paths and opinions, even going as far as to tread on these for new experiences and connections.

Another aspect of this blessing is Yuuki's closeness with the Trailblaze itself. The boons that Nameless possess such as their adaptability are much more potent for Yuuki. For instance, her immunity to the cold on Jarillo VI compared to the resistance of the others. Pom Pom, another being tied closely with the Trailblaze quickly formed a bond with Yuuki. Despite her directly damaging the train upon arrival, Pom Pom was uncharacteristically open to apologies. Even stranger, Yuuki was a great help in repairing what she broke, despite having never seen anything like the Express before.

Finally is her power. Like some other Emanators, Yuuki holds an incredible amount of power, but unlike the others, she is unaware of it. She doesn't know of the promise made long ago, nor is she aware of what she is. Thanks to her experiences with her fellow Nameless and certain members of the Genuis Society, she has been able to piece together a bit of this lost story. But practically, she is not tapping into much of the power she was blessed with; instead, she is mainly utilizing the power of the Sovereign, something she was born with.

Burns

The burns Yuuki suffered during the climax of two certain battles in her life. Her life may branch into different directions, but the end results will always be the same. Whether deflecting Skaracabaz's Ovum of Collapsed Star or pushing back Vortigern's Final Breath, the end result is burns that cover both her hands completely. While the muscles and nerves eventually heal to the point she can feel and move properly again, the skin is forever changed to a blue-green, tinted from the energy they had to withstand.

After these battles, Yuuki wears a special pair of black gloves to keep them hidden while keeping her full range of motion and sense of touch intact. While she isn't outwardly disgusted by the color of her hands, she is uncomfortable with their current appearance and is reluctant to just show anyone.

Awaken

"Genug davon. Ich muss direkter sein."

An annoyed huff left Yuuki's mouth. As usual, the deep voice rang in her ears. At this point, she was doing all she could to ignore it over the last few weeks unless it was agonizing enough to give her pain. But it was Moon's gasp that brought attention to this particular line.

"Okay, you can't deny it. I know you heard that this time." Yuuki came to a stop at the edge of the water. "Don't bother Moon, I know you can hear this voice! What is it?!" Turning around, she expected to see the AI projection in front of her, but there was nothing. Time had frozen, much like in the Chasm. "Wait... What is this? Hello?"

When Yuuki turned around, she came face to face with a hooded figure in front of her. How are- gah!!" Clutching her head, she leaned over and whined in pain, struggling to stand up straight. "Is... is this your doing? Who are you?!" The world suddenly flashed before her in a blinding light.

Blinking, Yuuki found herself in what appeared to be Stormterror's Lair. It wasn't quite right, the ruins were lively. It looked like they were still intact. No people were around, but a large white dragon flew overhead. The sight of it shook the woman to her core, a feeling she had felt here before. "Where... are we? Where did that-" The dragon suddenly roared and vanished into wisps of air. The ground shook beneath her, a massive whirlwind forming in front of her. Naturally, Yuuki reached for the Ruin Blade at her side, but it wasn't there. "Damnit, of course! Can I-" Holding out her hand, the Aquilla Favonia could still come to her side. Looking forward, the hooded figure stepped out of the tornado. "Who are you?!" Yuuki cried out, her voice drowned in the whipping wind. All went still again as the figure dropped its cloak. It was Yuuki herself, nearly identical aside from her eye and hair color.

"Ist es nicht offensichtlich?"

"I am you." The words did not come from the woman's mouth, but Yuuki could recognize it as the foreigner speaking to her over the past few weeks. "And you are me. My vessel." The stranger held out her hand, waiting for Yuuki to take it.

"Vessel..." There was something familiar about that word. Did Moon mention it before? Had Yuuki heard it in a dream? Was it something she thought of herself all along, deep inside her? A placeholder for someone else? She shook her head and pointed her blade at the other. "I... I don't know what you mean. I am no one's vessel!"

The other Yuuki smiled as the Ruin Blade fell in her open palm. Silently, she pointed the tip at Yuuki, mirroring her pose. "I think you know the truth already. The knowledge of my wing should have given it to you, no?" The dragon from before could be heard roaring once more as the mirrored Yuuki spoke. "I can see it in your eyes. You know exactly who I am. Who you are." Her lips parted to utter another word silently, one that made Yuuki swallow hard.

"Fanchon." A heavy sigh left her lips. That name had been in her head for as long as she could remember. It wasn't until recently that it even had any significance. "I don't... I don't understand. Are you trying to like, take over my body or something?"

The other Yuuki, or 'Fanchon', as she believed her to be smiled and shook her head. The woman shifted her position to a combat stance, raising her sword arm. Suddenly, she vanished before Yuuki's eyes, a trick she knew all too well. A moment later, she appeared at her side and swung her sword to strike. Yuuki was ready, quickly moving to block the strike. Her arm tingled with an unfamiliar sensation. Electro energy danced upon the Ruin Blade, but it wasn't what was radiating through her now. She loomed up and locked eyes with her mirror image for a moment.

"I don't..." She faltered as the two stepped away from each other before once again, her mirror warped in for another strike. This time, she gave no warning or pause as a full duel erupted between the two. The heat of battle, clashing of blades, being on the other side of her sword's edge. With each blow, Yuuki found herself understanding more and more. "I..." She ducked beneath her opponent's extended blade. "I think I get what this is." A smile spread across her mouth before she ran in for a strike of her own. "Bring it on, then! Tell, no, show me who you really are, Fanchon!"

The two fought for what felt like ages. Like the middle of a tornado, the wind whipped around them, dancing with elements spewed from the Ruin Blade. Though Yuuki had only collected two core fragments and had only been able to utilize two elements, the shadow of her was using all seven. What was becoming clear, however, was that Yuuki was the better fighter. She could feel that their fighting styles were similar, if not identical to each other. But the shadow was missing something that Yuuki could pick up on in other fighters, experience. Or maybe her techniques were unrefined, she couldn't tell. The difference in skill allowed her to take advantage of an opening, slashing at the shadow's chest and kicking her away.

"Hmph!" Putting a hand to her chest, the shadow looked over at Yuuki. Clenching her fist and letting out a loud bellow. A whirlwind whipped up around her as she transformed before Yuuki's eyes. The shadow's hair had illuminated a bright green, flowing with bright and intense Anemo energy. More significant were the inhuman features that adorned her body. Notably, the white scales covering her forearms and shins, extending past her hands to even partially cover the Ruin Blade. The sight of it caused something within Yuuki to click.

"So that's it, huh?" She couldn't help but smirk at her opponent's transformation. The sight, the feeling only excited her for some reason. like she was reaching something new or seeing the future. "You'd have me learn by example, then?" She swung her sword to beckon the other. "Come on!" This time she struck first, initiating another clash of blades.

She held out as long as she could, but Yuuki knew that this time, she was outmatched. Her shadow had overpowered her, and the Ruin Blade knocked her away to the edge of the area. Panting heavily, Yuiki got to one knee, propping herself upright with her sword as a gloved hand was gently placed on her shoulder. She didn't have to look up to know who it was. The warming comfort was all she needed to reignite her spirit.

"It's alright, I'm okay." Taking a deep breath, she stood up straight, alone once more. "And... thank you. I won't run away anymore. I know who I am." Clenching her free hand into a fist, she held it to her heart as the wind around her subsided. An eerie silence fell over the area before bursts of wind erupted from Yuuki. She swiped her hand down to her side as a pair of white draconic spread out from her back. Glittering with the same white scales as her opponent, they weren't the only changes she had undergone. Much like the shadow before her, her hair had turned from its normal blue to an ashen gray. Yuuki couldn't see, but her eyes had turned green, a brighter hue compared to when she used the Ruin Blade's power.

"You are not Fanchon. I am." The wind around her intensified as the shadow howled and warped close for a strike. Instead of dodging or weaving around the blow, Yuuki met her blade with full force. Again and again, the two clashed, and with each blow, Yuuki could feel herself regaining the upper hand. "I am the reincarnation of the Anemo dragon Sovereign, Fanchon! But!" She swung her sword to accentuate her words as her opponent jumped at her. "I am still Tsukino Yuuki, Adventurer and explorer, daughter of a Shogunate general!" If she was honest, she had no idea why she was saying this, much less aloud. "I decide my future, not you, not Eitri, or anyone else!" With her wings spread out, she leaped at the shadow with a final cry and clash.

Yuuki landed on her feet, sticking the tip of her sword into the ground to keep her balance. The wings at her back disappeared into Anemo energy as the shadow fell to the ground behind her, dissipating in the same way. Looking up at the sky, Yuuki breathed a sigh of relief as the air calmed down again. A gentle breeze blew through the air as her vision darkened, carrying the same voice from earlier, though in a much softer tone.

"Danke, kleiner. Breite deine flügel aus und fliege."

Blinking a few times, Yuuki found herself in Fontaine once more, standing where she was before she blacked out. She looked down at her hand as the projection of Moon moved closer to her. The AI smiled when they locked eyes, a real smile compared to the many sparky or sarcastic ones that came before.

Her voice was quiet and gentle as she spoke. "Did you find what you were looking for?" Yuuki nodded quietly. "Good. So..."

"Eitri." Yuuki blurted out the word without thinking, to which Moon could only raise her eyebrows in surprise. "I mean, uh... I think that's your name. I wanted to th-" Moon held up a hand. "What?"

"I prefer Moon." She spoke simply, but she couldn't hide the joy in her eyes. "I'm glad to see you back to your old self, my master."

Yuuki picked up the Ruin Blade and walked over to the nearby pool of water. Humming to herself as she looked at her reflection in the water.

"Old self? I wouldn't say that. I feel like I'm... new?" She ran a hand through her hair with a smile. "I like it."

And with that last story post, we say goodbye to blue/green Yuuki and welcome Yuuki gray in both verses. Teyvat's Anemo Sovereign reborn and an Emanator of the Trailblaze.
