this entire song is so fuyumicore that it was the the basis of like 90% of my tags on her single muse blog back when I had it. i especially love the line "choked up i realize / that i've been less than half myself / for more than half my life". like WOW if that isn't her healing journey in a nutshell.

The first female SOLDIER would have been a song and dance and a major PR opportunity, and Xemos is an imposing figure at 211cm / broad / very muscular so I'm pretty certain there would have been a lot of opportunities to meet a broad range of people within SOLDIER and Shinra in general for those crisp photo opportunities. Then when being reassigned for medical reasons (possibly related to hormonal changes with pregnancy) this guard hound squad was formed as a way to keep some spotlight on their First Female SOLDIER turned Proud Working Mother.

ㅤㅤThe Golden Saucer is loud, louder than it was when they first arrived, which may have to do with the people crowding the games. Both young & old. Those were nice in a way, deafening the chatter around them for however long Aerith & him played them. It allows him to think & focus for those moments in time.

ㅤㅤHis aqua blue eyes glows brighter in the darkened light as they slant over towards the Queen's Blood tables. Most of them filled with people waiting for partners, as entertaining as it is to beat people when their confidence is high. But he feels the urge for a rematch with Aerith & he's not sure if he'd be in the mood for it with all the noise.

ㅤㅤCloud's eyes looks around the room, his lips pressing tightly together in displeasure thoughtfully. His hand reaching blindly to grip her hand, oblivious to the fact his fingers reflexively threads through hers.

ㅤㅤHalf turning to her, his face softens as a slight smile curves over his lips, he steps back towards the exit, gently coxing her to follow. Only to stop bashfully a few seconds later. He tips his head down & to the side as a light redness appears in the dimness. He stays that way as if silently debating before he gently begins to cox her towards the exit once more.
