sorry i haven’t been around recently.  Work has taken a very stressful turn. the reason danny and tony don’t get along has very little to do with them having vastly different personalities (there’s ALSO that) and more to do with them having vastly different philosophies.  These philosophies are reflected in their companies, which are not competitors btw.

even if you only look at canon MCU: Tony running Stark Ind. is accused of violating workers’ rights, not to mention their dignity.  There are whole movies dedicated to how previous Stark employees have had to fight back against the corporation (and they still lost because Didney is also a monopoly and loves any chance to show some capitalist propaganda to young tender minds but I digress).

On the complete opposite end of the spectrum, in the Netflix Iron Fist shows (which no one watched more than 30 seconds of but me) Danny immediately starts shaking up the system, giving away medication at cost because people need it.  When a workers’ rights issue comes up (possibly contamination leading to a prolonged illness that may or may not have come from working at Rand facility), Danny immediately takes steps to correct it, paying for medical bills, cleaning up the facility, launching an investigation.

Looking SOLELY at the canon presented by the MCU (and not personal headcanons from myself or other RPers for either industry, or even comic canon), Rand Corp/Intl. & Stark Ind. have completely different attitudes in their treatment of workers and staff, in their CEO’s personal responsibility for the things they are bringing out into the world, and what they do with their vast wealth.  These difference are 85% of why Danny and Tony don’t get along on a personal level.

  does anyone else think about how danny was 19 when...

…. that…. is… kind of…. an oof

i mean we don’t know how old misty was when she and danny met.  she had to be older than 19 though because you can’t become a police officer until you’re at least 18 and then she has to work her way up to detective. Even if she’s SUPER BRILLIANT and gets every promotion and went into the PD on her 18th birthday, she’s at best like... 23-24? and more likely probably like.... 26-27?
