Also, one of my favorite developments for Daenerys is unlearning the stories and behaviors influenced by Viserys. What I mean by this is...wanting to learn the truth about her father, taking time to understand the Stark/Northern perspective of the war more, things of that nature. All that Dany learned as a girl came from Viserys. She didn’t have a maester, so her knowledge has been incredibly biased outside of any books/histories she’s read by herself. But as she learns more about her own father and the Targaryens who came before her OUTSIDE OF VISERYS’ PERSPECTIVE, she will, of course, be disturbed...and she will be critical. There have been many Targaryen rulers/individuals in power who have stood against everything Daenerys believes a ruler should be...her father included. There have been historical events surrounding her family that have harmed the realm due to her House’s propensity to turn in on itself. She will see how the power delivered unto her House by the dragons has been used to cannibalize itself...and by extension harm the people of Westeros. She will also see how her family lost focus of its destiny, which she was born to reclaim. I’ll make these thoughts make sense later! 👀
