Given Sett and his mother have had a hard hard life enduring a lot of mockery, abuse, along with poverty before he fought his way to power in the fighting pits, has he developed any habits or traumas because of all the hardships endured? Does it manifest in any way, like food insecurity trauma, an over-mindfulness / over attentiveness to things like maintained appearances as a result? :000

it’s  funny  you  say  that  because  you  quite  literally  hit  the  nail  on  the  head  .  obviously  𝐒𝐄𝐓𝐓  being  an  abnormal  product  of  a  human  &  vastaya  can  be  seen  as  tainted  blood  of  the  chimeric  race  of  humanoids  that  are  the  descendants  from  enlightened  mortals  ;  vastayashai'rei  .  however  ,  it  would  seem  that  the  vastaya  of  modern  day  forget  that  the  originated  race  came  about  from  a  mixing  of  the  vastayashai'rei  &  humans  with  some  tribes  having  stronger  vastayashai'rei  heritage  than  others  .  but  there  have  been  recent  disdain  for  humans  from  the  vastaya  tribes  .  Sett  being  the  recent  qualifiers  of  being  considered  a  “  demi  -  human  “  —  otherwise  a  child  of  mistake  .

➤                       𝐒𝐄𝐓𝐓  definitely  developed  some  trauma  ,  having  been  quite  literally  beaten  while  he’s  made  an  effort  to  cover  his  body  .  &  i  certainly  do  think  his  mother  had  also  been  beaten  &  slapped  for  trying  to  defend  her  son  ;  even  if  she  had  to  use  her  body  as  a  shield  if  she  refused  to  use  her  claws  .

𝐒𝐄𝐓𝐓 suffers  a  handful  of  mental  illnesses  ,  among  it  being  undiagnosed  C-PTSD  &  anxiety  .  paranoia  becoming  another  big  contributor  . 𝐒𝐄𝐓𝐓  wasn’t  able  to  vent  out  his  frustrations  or  combat  it  .  he  wasn’t  able  to  fight  back  until  he  was  forced  to  as  defense  or  when  his  mother  became  a  subject  of  aggression  by  the  opposing  party  .  definitely  didn’t  help  with  being  in  poverty  &  rarely  anyone  allowing  you  to  be  a  big  contributor  for  a  meager  job  .

just  to  make  a  living  .

➤                       in  terms  of  his  appearances  ,  he  has  learnt  later  on  in  his  life  to  just  accept  who  he  was  .  i've  had  this  conversation  before  with  a  lot  of  lovely  moots  of  mine  ,  but  𝐒𝐄𝐓𝐓  used  to  pull  &  tug  hard  at  his  ears  &  ingrown  tail  .  he  used  to  try  &  scratch  out  patches  of  fur  &  cut  off  his  ears  because  he  wasn't  fully  human  (  until  his  mother  intervened  )  .  𝐒𝐄𝐓𝐓  now  has  scarring  at  the  base  of  his  ears  /  tail  ,  where  fur  no  longer  grows  due  to  stress  &  prolonged  damage  .

in  terms  of  eating  ,  𝐒𝐄𝐓𝐓  only  ate  what  him  &  his  mother  were  afforded  to  get  .  mainly  rice  &  oats  as  a  kid  ,  but  he  always  made  sure  to  give  his  mother  the  larger  portion  (  hence  his  fragility  &  frailness  )  .  𝐒𝐄𝐓𝐓  didn't  care  if  he  was  still  hungry  ,  only  if  his  mother  was  taken  care  of  .  of  course  ,  he  sometimes  will  miss  a  meal  as  an  adult  after  becoming  rich  .  he  wants  to  assure  his  mother's  comforts  before  his  own  .

granted  ,  with  bingwen  coming  along  into  his  life  ,  𝐒𝐄𝐓𝐓  had  no  choice  to  engorge  on  meats  &  other  nutrition  to  become  as  big  as  he  is  today  .

I need at least some exposition and description lol. plotting or winging it: Typically memes or plotting more generally. It doesn't have to be super specific but I like having mutually shared ideas. fighting threads, you bold enough for them?: I write a villain with a boss fight; of course I'm down to write them. Meredith is also a powerful templar, and isn't afraid to fuck someone up. (this would require plotting, obviously no god modding, but yknow). what content warnings are on your blog?: Drug usage with lyrium (or cocaine in modern verse), violence, PTSD, violence, gore/blood, uh, genocide of the Circle mages, etc. I don't sanitize Meredith, but I approach these topics with respect. what things do you need tagged for your comfort?: suicide & self-harm.

shipping preferences: single | multi | no ship | polyship (sorry Meredith is polyphobic xoxo)- typically, I'm open to separate ships, but because of who Meredith is, some plotting is necessary - I do not change her character to suit a ship (but I have a greater ability to ship her in post-DA2 verses or modern verse, where she isn't as limited). shipping boundaries: Meredith is a lesbian. I ship her with other female muses. She's also between 35-45 years of age during the Kirkwall timeline, and while I'm open to certain age gaps, I prefer to at least ship her with someone 25+ and has their frontal lobe fully developed. I moved halfway across the country and I'm 2.5 years into writing my doctorate. (Also it's been almost 10 years since I started writing Mere). My best friend is due with twins any day now (we only know Baby A is female, we still don't know what Baby B's sex is because they've kept their legs closed this entire time), but I'll be an auntie before 2024 is out.

I missed a lot of the people I wrote with back in the day and thankfully many of them have come back. I don't miss the crazy insane drama / insane behaviour that happened in this RPC, and quite frankly, I do wish more people would branch out and write more actually sapphic women, dwarves, and villains / morally grey protagonists (beyond blood mage Hawkes for example).

BEST TIME TO WRITE: night time! i always have more time at night, things are quiet at night, i can concentrate, no distractions whereas in the day time it's very hectic and i never write my best things at day. in the day i feel like i have brain fog most of the time and then at night it lifts and i feel like my creativity + energy finally comes alive so def night.

ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE: definitely. the night time thing being the one relatable thing i have with batman's daughter. (everyone in the batfam loveees the dark ofc ofc) the next thing is helena's kind but a spitfire. that's actually what attracted me to write her (besides her being batcat's child, i lovelovelove batcat), i am a huge fan of powerful females and LOVE writing them. i adore the female muses who aren't afraid to step on a man. women have been crapped on for so long and i hate how half the world likes to find women weak, so it's very admirable when there's those females who aren't afraid to talk back. fight back. and show the world differently. i love to see it. 10/10. so yes!! i def find myself a lot in these types of characters. besides sassing men... helena loves to read, be artistic, loves rock music like her dad, loves donating, being a philanthropist, loves animals, black cats, german shepherds & fashion. so we hugely relate for sure.
