also yves epine seems like such a cool character holy shit his design is gorgeoussss how did yves and bai fengxi meet? 👀 what were their first impressions of each other?

HI HIII IM REALLY HAPPY YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THESE TWO! i actually wrote a few notes about their first meeting :) let me find them!!

"At eight, two hours before Yves’ bedtime, all wards of the Mecenat woild be summoned to the dining hall for their evening meal. A small bell in each room would begin to ring incessantly until those students deigned themselves to close their books and eat all together under the watchful eye of the housemaster: Yves at the leftmost seat, the two artists at his right, and the Mecenat sat at the head of the wood-slab table. All four were men, and so were the servants who tended to them during meals and the youth who joined them downstairs in seemingly irregular patterns. The fifth dinner guest neither ate nor conversed, his eyes borne into the far distance or the maddening square of the handkerchief upon which silver cutlery lay placed at even intervals. As he neither ate nor conversed, he had the airs of a thing rather than a person, almost like he was but a dessert spoon or even one of the dishes laid out for a nightly feast."

Yves is fascinated by what Bai Fengxi represents - a deviation from the orderly world of his own moral OCD. He immediately likens Bai Fengxi to an angel.

On the other hand, Bai Fengxi feels that Yves is a person qualified to judge him and lead him to paradise. He decides this immediately, but he's not happy with it, and is often casually mean and two-faced because he's frustrated that his sweet executioner is such an immature and direct person.

I literally did that animatic in a day- partially to practice freehand drawings/storyboarding and partially bc the MWTK song pandering/propaganda grabbed me by the throat and dragged me over to my tablet

Hmm 🤔 No there is not any in the first one, nor any planned for the second... I'd say that most of the conflict - and then further the resolution - comes from the environment and the characters having to collaborate to get through the ish (plural) thrown their way!!!!

Though that being said... There is a graphic fight sequence in part 2 between Soonyoung and a misc character (NOT 0T13/MC) 🤡👌✨️
