We played "Fox and chicken"

There was a family of foxes hunting together and a family of chicken trying to survive

Foxes had their den and chicken had their coop

When the chicken ran into their coop, foxes couldn't get them, but it was code of honor that the chicken couldn't remain longer than like 2 minutes in the coop, otherwise it got boring

When the foxes caught a chicken, it was brought to their den, but they weren't instantly eaten and so could be rescued by some other daring chicken that managed to get into the den evading the foxes and drag them out (it was also code of honor that no fox could just camp the den entrance indefinitely or it also got boring)

We also had a game called "The Beast" with a few friends in which I was always the beast and it consisted on me (the roudiest in our group and the one who would scare people for fun) chasing the others indefinitely, trying to scare them by sneaking up on them when they thought they were safe, growling at them, jumping right in front of them from high surfaces they thought I wasn't able to jump from, etc (the particular terrain we played in made the whole game, some particular parks with lots of open space, trees and some high skateboard ramps and climbing games were the best). And when a victim was caught, I'd slightly tackle them, mess up their hair, and leave them roughed up and breathless on the ground

lately my kids have been playing Baby Knife, which consists of somebody acting as a baby with knife hands chasing people while going "baby knife baby knife" over and over. is this a thing or are they just insane
