I have rewritten my rules for sake of clarification

Rules under read more please like to let me know you read them

• Please don't god-mod or metagame. It's not fun for anyone if your muse somehow knows details about my muse they're not supposed to, or if you write what my muse is doing. It is fine however if you mention a small action that would make sense in continuation of something my muse did in a previous reply.

• I am mutuals only, although I am not very selective. This rule is only to help me keep track of who I roleplay with, as it's easier to remember people's url if I can see them in my followed tab .If you’re interested in interacting, feel free to follow me and I’ll check your blog. If your roleplay blog is a sideblog please have it written somewhere or give me a heads up, as I don't want personals following me and might block you if I don't know you have a sideblog

• If I follow you, I'll generally wait around one or two weeks  if you're active, or more if you're low activity, to see if you follow me back. When it's not the case,most of the time i simply unfollow.

• If you follow me and have not been followed back after a month, you are free to send me an ask about it. Chances are I simply forgot.

• My activity here is very sporadic. There will be times where I post everyday, and others where I may not post anything for weeks. Please be patient. I am physically and mentally disabled, and while I don't have a job, I don't always have the energy or motivation to write.  A lot of the times I have brain fog that makes it difficult to concentrate. I also struggle with memory issues.

• English is not my first language.  I have been fluent in it for years, but there are still moments where even simple mistakes evade me. You are welcome to kindly point these out to me. Please just don't be rude about it.

• There will not be smut on this blog,as this is not a topic I'm comfortable writing. However, this blog contains and mentions other heavy topics like violence, suicidal thoughts and idealization, death, and attempted murder. They will be tagged accordingly. If I ever forget a tag, please do let me know.

• If I say or do something you're uncomfortable with, please let me know. I want everyone here to have a good time.

• Reblog memes from the source. Unless the source is deactivated, reblog from the original poster and not my blog. I am not a meme source.

RULES

If I follow you, know that I've read your rules. Please afford me that same courtesy.

I don't intend on posting any explicit content, but I do deal with heavier themes. All my blogs should be considered 18+. I will not RP with you if you do not have some indication that you are an adult posted on your blog.

The hub blog is exclusively for OOC/metaposting. If you'd like to RP, please follow at least one of my in character sideblogs.

This isn't a deal breaker, but if you have replies/IMs turned off for non-mutuals and are interested in RPing, I'd appreciate it if you'd follow the hub as well. If you don't, it's extremely touch and go as to whether I'll be able to message you from any blog.

Mutuals only for threads, but my askbox is open to anyone. I do delete asks that I feel I can't answer or am uninterested in pursuing. Don't take it personally.

Out of consideration for my RP partners, I ask that personals do not reblog my actual RP threads. However, you are welcome to 'like' things freely, and OOC meta, asks, plot updates, and artwork are all OK to reblog.

From what I can tell, tumblr no longer lets you view the source post just by clicking on the original poster's URL, so you are welcome to reblog memes from me. Sending a few in as a courtesy is appreciated but not required.

General roleplay etiquette. No godmodding or powerplay. Metagaming I'm a little more flexible with, but please talk to me first.

I'm uninterested in shipping, and will delete most shipping related asks, bar one or two exceptions. While I don't mind if my RP partners are fans, Billford is NOT one of those exceptions.

I don't regularly use icons or heavy formatting, and I probably won't play ball with anyone whose formatting makes their blog difficult to read.

I can take a while to respond to a thread, and will be quite a bit slower during the work week. If you are expecting immediate replies, we probably won't be super compatible as writers. That said, the occasional reminder doesn't bother me.

Similarly, I tend to nudge people after a couple weeks of no response, just to ensure that it wasn't a case of tumblr eating the notification. Afterwards, I assume you've seen my reply and will get back to me at your convenience.

I don't enjoy pre-planning threads from start to finish, but for introductions, I feel as though there should be a bit of groundwork plotted out in advance to ensure that it makes sense. Past that, spontaneous RP and plotted threads are equally welcome.

Apart from the occasional crack thread, I tend to write mostly multi-paragraph or novella. While I don't expect people to match length, I do expect them to match thought and effort. If I'm getting single sentence responses to multiple paragraphs, I'm probably going to unfollow.

I have no tolerance for bigotry of any kind. Mistakes are one thing, but sustained patterns of behavior will result in a hard block.

I’m pretty live and let live when it comes to shipping discourse, but engaging in pedophilic or incestuous content in any form will also result in a hard block.

Unless it involves the above two points, I don't care if someone was rude or standoffish to you. I do not engage with callouts unless the accusations are both serious and credible, and I do not engage in vague-posting at all. Someone else's interpersonal drama is not my business or problem. I curate my own experience on this site; I strongly encourage everyone else do the same.

My Opinion on;

Character in general: I initially had an internal short-circuit while attempting to get into the right head-space to watch BBC Sherlock and I suspect that the reason why is that I'm extremely fond of the mystery genre. I'm the kind of person who closes the mystery novel and allows it to rest before the resolution until I have my own final solution for the intrigue. I am the one who would pause the whodunit film after a certain point and suggest we should just enjoy talking and making theories of our own before continuing. And...I sound positively insufferable don't I? The point is, beyond the nature of its episodes as drastic reinterpretations of their literary counterparts, for the most part, you are not genuinely supposed to...Solve anything in Sherlock. You are simply supposed to see the words on screen and enjoy the quick flashes of a myriad connections reaching a conclusion. The show is much more interested in delving into the minds of these people whose greater than life intelligence is so overwhelming it somewhat exiles them from showing much interest in most facets of the rest of the world outside of their own particular obsessions, along with the restless mind that would come from it. Or as Mycroft comments: "If you seem slow to me, Sherlock, can you imagine what real people are like? I'm living in a world of goldfish." And in that sense, Jim's version of Moriarty is a perfectly interesting "What would that look like?" to the premise suggested in the first episode.

DONOVAN: One day we’ll be standing round a body and Sherlock Holmes’ll be the one that put it there. JOHN: Why would he do that? DONOVAN: Because he’s a psychopath. And psychopaths get bored. While Sherlock's journey is in part about discovering and embracing more of that humanity and those connections, Moriarty works with the story as the obvious opposite of that path. And in that role he is quite exciting, quite fun, quite theatrical and dangerous and tortured. I just spent five minutes in a fruitless quest to search for the exact quote but I remember that Tristan's impression of him during their initial chapters included something along the lines of: -He appears to be in love with being himself while simultaneously having no idea whatsoever how to endure being himself for longer the five minutes without a distraction- I never agreed with the widespread idea that everyone sees themselves as the hero of their own story so he instantly receives a point from me for defining himself under the terms of 'Every fairy tale needs a good old-fashioned villain'

How they play them: Very well and very devotedly. Beyond a great portrayal I always enjoy your headcanon posts whenever those appear and your ability to make Jim make sense in all sorts of different universes is remarkable as well. The Mun: Mori is always lovely and I should extend her an apology for the monthly-delay in between my replies. If this meme is teaching me something, it is how nonexistent my out of character activity truly is within this realm.

Do I:

RP with them: Yes. Tristan and Jim have a friendly...How do you call whatever this is? A mutual acknowledgement that the other is interesting? "As for more crystalline introductions. Let's say that if you are Crime, a shrouded web of thrilling trespassing and horrors, then that would make me...Change." His hand beckoned away from the other with the ease of someone who would look at the universe as his personal orchestra. "I'm the invisible, inevitable pressure that alters the way history’s blood flows. Not entirely unlike your lurking silhouette insinuates itself amid daring crime scenes, my shadow looms over rousing chapters that saw this world bathed in flame in order to make room for new excitements in the endless dance. Although Jim may be under the impression that Tristan betrayed some bizarre form of bro-code between them at one point? I remember that In one particularly humorous occasion, after Tristan replied to something from the eternally spectacular @ladamedemartel Jim immediately visited his ask-box with urgent indignation. The quid of the message was "You love someone? Why? Why? Why? You should know better about the world. Are you insane? What's your problem?" I always enjoyed the comedy of Tristan's company not batting a disapproving eye at the wars and the plagues but finding the fact that he loves his family extremely disturbing. Want to RP with them: Yes. We could start something entirely new sometime if you prefer. Tristan is not going to call him evasive but he finds the fact that Jim tenaciously insisted on hearing about Jack the Ripper for months only to grow silent as soon as Tristan dictated some generically innocent answers about his personal past as the price to pay rather interesting and amusing.

Overall Opinion: While stealing from a blood bank, the master criminal was caught red-handed.

Character in general: so one of the reasons why i followed, is i love a really good drawn out OC. such as, a great bio, a great backstory and of course the shown care towards the muse itself. this blog has it & it made me sooo happy to see. Colm McGuinness: Sleeping In The Cold Below - Let's start off with a representative sample, my head is filled with folk and filk and irish and shanties, just check out this artist for a clear breakdown of my tastes, because I could fill out the whole list with just this man's work. Musically speaking, if I could grow up to be anyone, it would be HIM. I yearn so hard for his instrument collection and vocal range, even if I'm operating in different octaves.

Malinda: Dúlamán - Feels slightly like cheating, because I'm fairly sure I found her through Colm McGuinness (the Hoist The Colors collab), but god, her voice is DIVINE, and she's got a fantastic balance of trad covers and newer music. Songs in gaelic can be tricky to rec, even if I'm about to do it again, but some of them just have so much bewitching LIFE that I can't resist.

Celtic Woman: Téir Abhaile Riú - I have to tell you, it was both disorienting and delightful when this started getting used as a sound in tiktoks. The short excerpt is good, but the whole song is so much fun! I know it's kind of redundant to talk up Irish songs as being catchy as hell, but this is really such a good one.

The Longest Johns: On The Railroad - Speaking of catchy... I'm a basic binch, give me a train song that sounds like a train, and I'm all over that to an embarrassing degree. Skimbleshanks isn't going to be on here, but only because it'd be cheating, I wasn't thinking about it until I started thinking about why I like this. And you get a train song that's ALSO a work song? Hell yes, gimme

Great Big Sea: Process Man - I agonized over what Great Big Sea song to include (old black rum? donkey riding? excursion around the bay?) but this is truly such a classic, it's so catchy and memorable. And it's great if you're feeling like an exploited #resource at your day job!

The High Kings: McAlpine's Fusiliers - Speaking of being an exploited, expendable resource, ONE LAST IRISH SONG. But I can't leave this out! The High Kings are so good, but McAlpine's Fusiliers is the CATCHIEST melody line by any artist. I am typing slowly because I have no choice to sing along since I opened the video to get the url, send help

Hozier: The Humours Of Whiskey - You know I really intended to have other flavors of music on here too, but. Again, the song is too catchy for me to resist. This is only a partial cover of the full song, because he's just doing it offhand. But his voice is so perfect and the delivery so flawless, I live for this 52 second clip, haha

Delta Rae: Bottom Of The River - Technically I am showing a little more range than previous entries have done, but uh, I know that's only barely/technically true. But there's so much good stuff in this weird corner! And my mainest criteria for how much I like music is how fun it is to sing along, and this is seriously peak singalong content.

The Merry Wives Of Windsor: Siuil A Run: Oh no, another gaelic title. But it's also partly in english, and this is another song I'll listen to by anyone who covers it, and another group where I'll listen to any music they produce! I recommend their entire back catalog, very strongly. Fair warning they have a notable bawdy portion of their catalog, but I'm being good and not linking something like 'come roll me away,' or 'the cockerel song,' so you can listen without fear. But they are SUCH a fun group, I love them to bits.

Mary Black: Colcannon - Ah, screw it, I have a brand. Let's wrap it up with a song that's literally about potatoes! Also an impossibly catchy melody. This song has been stuck in my head since it absolutely Ruined me with homesickness back in grad school. And you know what, I'm also linking this bonus version with worse audio, but it's a 1986 recording of the black family on tv. There's just something about watching irish singing that makes me LIVE.

My Opinion on;

Character in general: Truthfully I don’t really know much about Narumi as a character, but she’s funny from what I’ve seen and quite a force to be reckoned with. I love that she’s a prankster and isn’t afraid to try it on with anyone. It amuses me every time.

How they play them: I love how you play her with so much passion and don’t care what other people think. Your portrayal is unique and I can see how much effort you put into it. It’s honestly great.

The Mun: We’ve never really spoken much out of character, but from what I know of the mun, they’re lovely and quite funny. I enjoy seeing you on my dash as both yourself and Narumi.

My opinion on character in general, how they play them, the mun:

Spiderman was my very very first superhero I ever saw as a kid. The cartoon was the best back in the day, and I loved it. Imagine my surprise as I got older and learned there were more spider people! I was flabbergasted. When I first learned about Miles from seeing a comic about him, I was like “whERE’S PETER?!” But then I learned about Miles and loved him too. Both are very different and very great spider people, and I think the Mun has got the two and their differences down pat. This has been a fun blend to have both on one blog, and RPing with both in one thread means twice the fun, right? For sure!

What is my overall opinion:

Character in general: Look okay let me tell you about the most perfect little boy in the whole wide world okay? Asao is the cutest boy a Souji could possibly have he's such an adorable child and Souji truly did fall in love with him immediately, though it did take Asao a moment to warm up to him... but now they're so cute together, whether Kyouya's papa, or if it happens to be Vergil. Souji is proud and so happy to be Asao's default mama no matter what, and loves him so much he'd do anything for him. How they play them: perfect, the perfect blend of adorable, mischief, and innocent playfulness, even if he's freezing demons and playing soccer with their heads LOL The Mun: They are so fun to talk to and we do it often. They're opinions and their replies are always a joy to have I'm really grateful.

Character in general: God what have I not already said about Spike tbh? He's the legend, he's the man. Spike is the character ever. How they play them: Honestly with such a LEGACY I'd be really intimidated to write a character like Spike. It's like writing Jesus or something. Character in general: I might not interact with all of them, but I love them all. The clones and the Jedi are so interesting to me and one of the biggest tragedies in Star Wars, and I really enjoy a tragedy.

How they play them: Amazing portrayals, so much love is put into them.

Character in general: Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm, it's so hard to talk about Menoa. I feel like I haven't had enough to have a concrete opinion on her. She seems to be the kind of person who tends to get blinded by her own convictions and causes a great deal of damage that she didn't really intend to. Ah, but isn't that in the movie, already? I wish there was more about her, how she was like as Chosen Child, what kind of things makes her happy, what upsets her, etc. I wish she could be more than Taichi's foil, but there wasn't enough time in the movie for that - but then again I wish we had more of everyone who wasn't Taichi or Yamato. How they play them: I have no idea LMAO I don't think I've seen your muse in action since I've come back? I hope it's good lol The Mun: Omg you wanted a big text, but I don't think I'll be able to deliver. Also, this meme requires me to be completely honest, so get ready. Character in general: I love them all!! Okay, a bit more your I7 muses but STILL! I love them all without a doubt! How they play them: I love it!
