historical outcome: uncertain whether A [acquittal] or C [condemnation]
The fact that Fonteius (if that name is the correct reading) bought a house in Naples (from Cicero?) may suggest that he was acquitted, either because he had the money for the purchase, and/or because he was rewarding Cicero for a successful defense. But it could also imply exile from Rome due to condemnation.
