Well, isn’t that just poetic. Hinata’s particular sheepish behavior is sometimes akin to a small prey animal in her eyes, but one that might hide a nerve of steel underneath her meek exterior. Regardless, she did make a good point. “Oh, right. Those people. What do they call ‘em again…? Aha, loan shark.” Mmm, the sea allegory connects.
Briefly, she offers Hinata a side-eyed stare before responding to her last question, “Whaaaat? Are you kidding me, Hinata-san? Of course not.” Her tone still carries a playful air into it, just a tad offended. “I always pay things in cash. I’d rather do that, even.” That’s how she handles things on her own, but as for when given a chance to use another’s credit card… “The best solution is to get someone let me borrow their credit card, heh. That’s easy.”
“I— I think they double as one of the most dangerous inventions, too.” Hinata replies, slightly nervous to offer a different opinion than Tsuyu. Beautiful women were intimidating. Hinata begins to bashfully coil a strand of her hair around her finger before continuing.
“I’ve heard some terrible stories of people getting lost in a sea of debt because they charged too much money to their credit card.” Hinata continues with her sea analogy. “And just like a real sea, there are sharks that go hunting for what they’re owed.” Debt collectors.
A sudden thought occurs to Hinata and the nervous expression she wears changes to one of concern. "Eto— Tsuyu-san . . You aren’t in any financial trouble, are you?”
