So, about this "blog novel".
I've always had a passion for writing, and for helping people. I'm writing this partly as my story, partly as a collection of stories, but mostly as a way to help those who are broken.
This is and will be a triggering story for some.
This is a story about a fictional teenage girl I've named Fauna. She's depressed, anxious, maybe bipolar. I'm trying to make her very general, yet very specific as to appeal to the specific audience of teenagers that suffer from cutting. I don't want to make her too much like myself that it's me in a story, yet I will give her some personal experiences of mine. I know my corner of the world (suburban Atlanta) quite well and I'm placing her there for simplicity on my part, so i don't have to do a ton of research of some other city.
Now, a little about myself. I'm 17, graduated class of 2013 from high school in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia. I've suffered from depression and some self-diagnosed anxiety and a few other problems i think I fall into the category of. I used to be a cutter, i still do it on occasion to relieve stress, and I want to stop. I'm hoping writing this story will help me as well as others. I've had a fairly average and mundane life on the outside looking in. I have okay parents, they try their best but fail sometimes. I have problems fitting in socially, I've always been the weird kid all through school. I'm a pescetarian, which means I don't eat meat, but i do eat fish. Anything else you'd like to know about me, you can send an ask and I'd love to share.
Fauna is not myself, she is for you, the readers. Her story may not be one of triumph. It may not be one of failure either. I'm not sure how it'll end yet.
I don't know how far I'll go with this. I may get three posts in and decide I don't want to, but i may also get to the point of publication. I will reference things from pop culture, such as music, television, or internet. If it could be a copyright issue, I'll deal with it if and when i get there.
So, thank you for reading and I hope you like Fauna's story.
