first off, here's a Pinterest account I created for my blog a couple of days ago, it might be helpful (or not at all), but you're free to use any pictures I've collected, they aren't mine anyway :3 (it's a work in progress, I have yet to add all the boards I want to)

phase one: finding a concept. I usually like to go for a specific vibe when I create my themes, or any header for that matter. you could start out with an aesthetically pleasing picture that you like, but I prefer to find a picture of one of the members first !

for instance, I really like this picture of beomgyu ! and it's the one I want to base my theme around.

phase two: finding the matching pictures. this is by far the most time consuming step, however, it helps you out a great deal if you already have organised Pinterest boards.

here are some Pinterest boards, all with different aesthetics that I frequently use.

match your picture to a board ! this saves you a lot of time when searching for pics.

the picture of beomgyu that I chose is light, yellowish, but not too saturated, it works well with my coffee board.

phase three: settle on your complimenting pictures. you want something that blends well with your original pic (beomgyu), but that also enhances him, the pictures you add should therefore not have too much going on in them.

I ended up going with these two, they carry that same light and yellow tone, but they're also very easy to look at, meaning they're not distracting when paired with my beomgyu pic.

phase four: nothing is ever final. now that you have your pictures, there's still a chance that they still don't align, in this case you can edit them. this doesn't have to be anything extravagant, you can just play around with the saturation on your camera app! bringing the saturation down just a tad can do big difference.

this is how my pictures ended up looking together, I could easily bring down the saturation on the one to the left for an even more seamless blend but I'm too lazy lol, either way, it's as simple as that !

when I do full on themes, I like to create separate board specifically for that theme ! time consuming, yes, but very worth it if your ocd claws at your brain like mine does :>

Also taking this chance to mention @bluewinnerangel (i just checked their header and wow ok wow I'm am adding this after everything was said and done) that is the MOST BLUEWINNERANGEL header EVER.

1. Why did you choose your URL?

i like cats and my birthday is on 6 and i like the number 666 because it’s more 6,,, also i got tired of trying to come up with urls i liked so i settled on this and decided i’d change it later,, grew on me tho

don’t look at me but i moved to tumblr from my dying homeland of google+,, i needed somewhere just as chaotic. also had a bit of conflict (that is resolved now it’s ok) with friends there and had negative associations with it and this seemed like a fresh start. all other social media’s draining

i like tma and fma and i wanted to creep people out when the page loads and sometimes the eye looks like it blinks

i have never been this happy to see a picture of someone’s eye and sparkly eyebrow in a teaser image, since bbc did not confirm anything about her participation prior to this (for The Hype, i get it), and even though we knew she had been at the dorms and practice for months...we had no idea this was coming!

this is a sideblog. i made it because i remade my tumblr at the end of last year. my main blog is @vydumaj​. i used to run a lot of sideblogs but for different reasons i’ve abandoned them all except this one now.

i started reading some tumblrs in 2013 i think, and made my first account in 2014? i think.

i made this blog specifically to when i felt myself falling deeper into the pit that is listening to kpop (last november/december), and know i’d annoy the hell out of a lot of people if i talked this much about kpop on main, and i promised myself i can talk as much as i want to myself here (but i don’t keep it up anymore...laziness and shyness! through the internet!) i think i made my original tumblr to ask the astronaut scott kelly questions when he had a tumblr ask thing in 2014 (mint lore...)
