Pre-plotted thread || @fieldroses (Yukari)
It felt strange being back here in Osaka so soon, one of Japan's other biggest cities next to Tokyo city. Minato had just previously come here last week for an interview with a radio station that had a program where they talked about all things Paranormal and Unexplained, the hosts actually mentioned Minato a few times as well along with his other two friends and co-investigators Zero and Takashi, those two had been invited too, but unfortunately had other matters to attend to, thus Minato agreed, and they were still thankful to have him, and he was just happy to be there. He showed up donning a black long-sleeved shirt, with matching black slim-fit skinny's, held together with a teal-blue belt and a matching teal blue coat, that had two ends that split off in the opposite. His guest appearance lasted about two hours before the episode concluded. After thanking the two for inviting him, he went on his merry way.
Exiting the radio station building, Minato made his way back to his car in the parking lot, as he passed by two teenage girls, he heard them talking amongst themselves, while he was going to ignore it since it wasn't his business when he heard the name Takeba Yukari, he stopped in his tracks as the girls continued on, apparently according to them, she was in the city today for the filming of another Featherman Pink episode, and a photoshoot to try out the new season's line of clothing, she was apparently at the nearby picture studio, it was actually only a fifteen-minute drive there.
Getting in the driver's seat of his midnight blue BMW, he fascines his seatbelt, buckling it in before checking his surroundings and double-checking through his mirrors before pulling out and driving off. It had been a while since he last Saw Yukari, the last time he'd seen her was during the P-1 Climax, an event that had forced them all to come together, it had been quite the ordeal, but managed to handle it thanks to their combined efforts with other persona-users. At least this time, there was no trouble getting in the way of a proper reunion. Pulling into the parking lot of the studio, he powers off his car, takes out the keys, locks the doors, and heads inside the building. Traversing through the long hallway he trails off to the corner into the studio area, and after a flash of a camera, the cameraman said it was break time, what a coincidence. He approaches her, she doesn't seem to notice he's there, at least until he spoke up.

Day 1 Fluff/Fictober - Survivor’s Guilt
Touch – “No, come back!”
Alden has returned from a sabbatical to find his found family injured and recovering from a vicious attack at the hands of a former brother-in-arms.
---
A heavy sigh burst from her and she forced her eyes away. But they moved to back to him immediately, to his tail flexing as he stormed away. Her arms crossed.
“No, come back!” Her arms dropped quickly and she hesitated, waiting for his reaction, before leaning into a trot.
His head moved in a curve, an exaggerated roll of his eyes. But he stopped. Her tail curled up tightly against her backside. She closed the distance between them and stood at his side.
“Sire, I’m sorry. I should’ve told you. I should’ve-“
He growled and shook his head. “Idania, no. You were right. I’m the one that should have handled things better. If I had, none of this,” he gestured toward the door behind her, “would have happened.”
Her lips pressed together. “There’s no way of knowing what sequence of events brought this story upon us. The catalyst could’ve been anything. You can’t blame yourself for this.”
Alden lifted his face up and away, but she caught their glassy reflection, the redness that threatened their rim, his nose. “I absolutely can. Valash blames me for everything. If I had just had the decency to die when he wanted me to, he would have been sated, he would have-“
“No!” She hated it, hated to see him so broken. Her tail swayed over her head. “Valash has thrown his lot in with Ophiuchus. She would have sent him on this mission regardless of his feelings about you.”
He chuckled sardonically, his tail tapped the floor. “Yes, well, I stole the dagger that released her. As a laugh! That dagger started all of this. I took it home and into the hands of the one man that could use it to release her.” He lifted a hand to point at her, emphasis. “That’s on me.”
Her throat tightened, nose tingled. “Sire, no-“
He grimaced and allowed the tears to well in his eyes. His other hand, necrotic and pulsing with magic, and began to count. “I got Alexander and my brother killed, I got you hurt and abandoned and r-“
She grabbed his hands. His arm brightened at her touch, and he froze. “Sire. You are not to blame for those things. You may have stolen the dagger, but it was not by your hand that Ophiuchus was released, you did not kill Alexander or Sylvain. You did not do those things to me or anyone else. You’re a good man, Alden Kil’jade.” He broke and allowed a strained happy sob. “You saved me from that nightmare. You saved Tristan from his, helped William along the path to save himself, and in doing so brought the Djinn together to save the world at least once.” He shook his head. She would not be deterred. “It would’ve been anyone. Valash may just be the best soldier she has.”
A few tears slipped down his cheeks. “But it was Valash, Idania. He followed you expecting to find me. He attacked you – again! – expecting that I would come to save you. Just like I did the first time. And when I didn’t- when I couldn’t, he… he killed Billy.”
Idania chuckled slightly. “Sire, you say that like William has not been seeking death for centuries.”
Alden’s face scrunched tightly. “What?”
She took a step toward him. “Besides, he’s not dead yet. He has just lost his immortality.”
He nodded, slowly at first, then hard. “Because the Fire Elemental was taken from him!” Her lips moved to form a response. His tail lifted. “No! He used the dagger that I stole on my way out of the burning estate, that I carried with me all these years, to harm one of the Djinn! What will Phiphi do with the Elemental? What will Billy do without it?”
Idania pressed a hand to his cheek. Her touch calmed him slightly, his lips pursed, tail dropping. “We’ll just have to get it back, won’t we?” His eyes rolled again. She stretched her thumb to wipe the tears from his face. “You’re the only one that can beat Valash, aren’t you? You’ll just have to be the hero again.”
He laughed once and sniffled. He knew better than to argue further. “It’s so tiresome.”

Honey (Biblegirl-centric) - Nova2
AN: When the happiness of many people is your responsibility, getting sick just isn’t an option. Or, Biblegirl reunites with some old friends when she needs them most……Biblegirl had a kinda high fever at dragworld and this fic stems from that.
Aside from the fact they were going to miss Dragball, the plane ride was, surprisingly knowing Delta, pretty easy. That’s at least what Chris remarked as they checked into their hotel. Bible couldn’t quite tell. For her it had been rocky, and stuffy and hot. But then again, she’d felt pretty off the whole day. It had started as just as just a little bit of a sore throat, but that was normal for this time of year - pride season had just finished and the season 12 girls were off filming. This meant it was bible’s few months of being thrust into the spotlight while the big dogs were away. When she finally arrived in London though, Biblegirl felt so incredibly heavy, as if she could just collapse at any moment. She could barely find the strength to keep herself upright.
By morning, she felt so fatigued it seeped through her bones. Her throat was horribly sore and her nose was in a constant state of itchiness. She felt dizzy too, her mind detached from reality and she doesn’t feel she’s there. Weakly, she applied her makeup for the day.
“You ready love?” Chris asked, rubbing her back. “Can’t wait.” Biblegirl tried to seem as perky and excited as possible.
Bible felt her nose start to burn, her breath caught and she turned away in order to not get her boyfriend sick. The sneezes were ticklish, quiet, but harsh in a sickly kind of manner.
“Bless you” Chris said softly. “Thanks,” Bible tried to compose herself and clear her throat. “Are you okay?” Christ continued, concern obviously lacing his words. “M’fine. Just something in the air I guess.”
After a morning of trying to push through meeting her fans, Bible went backstage to prepare for her panel. She revelled in the soft pillowy cushions that were the couch, offering to ease her aching, heavy body. However, she was suddenly attacked by a headache, pulsating through her brain and ravaging everything in sight. She hissed in pain, scrunching up her face to brace it, a hand shooting up to try and ease it.
She knew now that she couldn’t just leave this thing alone. She was past the denial phase, she was sick and she knew it.
“Does anyone here have any ibuprofen?” she asked hoarsely.
The few queens in the room weren’t paying attention, Bible hadn’t been loud enough to grasp it. Biblegirl bit her tongue then, a lot of these queens were a lot more well known than herself and their days had most likely been more stressful than her own. Some sleep was probably enough.
“Come on Bible, get up” Derrick snapped, gesturing towards the 25 year old who still hadn’t gotten off the couch.
“Sorry, just super tired.” she mumbled.
“We all are” Derrick sighed and got on her way.
Once backstage is empty apart from her, Biblegirl let herself go. She let herself shiver, let her legs tremble and she let herself cough, cough so harshly that it bent her over and the sheer force of it was so much she had to curl up on the couch. She felt dreadful in every sense of the word. She couldn’t tell if she was too hot or too cold and couldn’t help the pathetic whimper that left her lips. She felt so dumb and so selfish for staying hidden away here backstage when there were people outside queuing to meet her.
The burning in her head ravaged on and spread towards her nose and she inhales deeply as the tickle spread like wildfire. She pushed her face into the pillow and let out two harsh, powerful sneezes, extremely unlike her, they’re never usually this loud, and they make her feel miserable. She let out a whimper which quickly turned into a heavy sob, and in her feverish haze she could sense someone smile softly at her and heard them bless her in their loud but sweet voice of theirs.
She could feel someone’s warm hands massage her shoulders to comfort her, patting her on the back, trying to make her feel better. She could smell someone’s perfume, warm and comforting, heating her soul. She felt so safe, so warm, so loved.
“Zack, honey?” Trixie Mattel called softly, “Can you wake up, now, please?”
Biblegirl got up slowly, her world spinning so violently that it made her feel a little nauseous. She needed to grab onto the side of the couch to steady her vision, and she looked over to the clock and gasped. She’d been sleeping for over an hour.
Trixie glanced at Bibles pale face, with dark undereyes and a saturated flushing on her cheeks and nose showing even through the makeup, “Oh, Bible..” “FUCK, I overslept! I’m so sorry–the fans” Bible tried to scramble away but her face scrunched up and she erupted into a ticklish fit of sneezes, each sneeze desperate and sickly sounding. She wasn’t able to cover the first few, but managed to cover the incoming ones with the crook of her arm.
“Bless you,” Trixie offered but Bible didn’t stop stop, her sneezes were still going–until one particularly loud sneeze caused her to bang her face against her elbow. Trixie grimaced in sympathy, passing her a tissue for her to continue her fit in, until it eventually subsided.
Once Biblegirl finished, her eyes were watery and she couldn’t breathe through her nose, but she still forced herself off the couch and the world tilted and her knees buckled and she was freefalling, but Trixie’s strong arm caught her and guided her back towards the couch.
Trixie’s eyes looked sad, “Hey, honey, maybe it’s better if you rest here for a bit longer..”
“No! I need to go to my–” she coughed, “my booth! I’m letting my fans down otherwise! I can’t..have them hate me..”
Bible began to haul herself off of the couch and towards the convention room, much to Trixie’s protests. Her head pounded and her body felt like it weighed tonnes but she forced herself onwards. She managed to get halfway across the room when a couple of queens who had just finished m&gs arrived.
“I’m sorry i’ve been gone for so long, I didn’t mean to, I’ll get to my booth now–” Bible started to hack, coughing her lungs out, bent double with the sheer force. She felt horribly light and faint.
“Oh, Bible, baby..” Alaska whispered softly, her voice dripping with sympathy. Alaska and Phiphi took each of Bible’s hands, guiding her back to the couch where Trixie, eyes wide with worry, still sat. Trixie pulled Bible next to her rubbing her back. Phiphi gave her a bear hug, letting Bible lean into her as her chest rattled with sobs. Alaska gave her a quick kiss on the head “Shh..hey, baby, why are you crying?”.
“I’m just..so selfish. People paid to see me and i’m back here being completely useless. ,” she sobbed.
“Zack, you’re sick. That’s okay. You can take a rest. And look, I don’t know your fans–but we’re all very proud of you. I’m very proud of you. So I’m so sure she would feel the same,” Trixie reassured, a little bit awkward, but just as caring as she brushed her hand through Bible’s hair.
“We love you, Bible, all of us,” Phiphi whispered lovingly.
And Biblegirl felt it.

If You Need Anything (Alexis/Peppermint) - Mac
AN: This is a weird pairing. Trust me. I know. But I am trying to jazz up my writing a bit, so bear with me. This is more of a friendship fic than anything, but there could be romantic undertones if you interpret it a certain way. Hope you enjoy!
Summary: Peppermint has to get her wisdom teeth out, so she asks Alexis to accompany her.
Alexis was currently, and had been, stuck in a subway car for the past hour and a half. That wasn’t the main problem though. No, the problem was that while sitting in this stuffy subway car, she had a lap full of a drugged out Peppermint who was babbling and throwing her limbs around like, well, someone who was drugged.
Alexis had said it in passing. It was just something people say, not expecting anyone to ever call you out. “Let me know if you need anything.” That one little sentence had started this whole situation.
Well actually the phone call had started this whole situation. Alexis’ hesitance to answer when her phone first rang made her feel guilty, but who could really blame her. It’s not like she and Peppermint were terribly good pals. They didn’t chat, not if they could help it. Not to say that they didn’t like each other, just that, it was weird. Ever since filming had wrapped, they had been weirdly indifferent towards each other. Neither of them was quite sure why it was so strange. Sure, they had clashed a bit during the show, but nothing to the level of say, Sharon and PhiPhi.
There was just a strange sort of tension between the two. Maybe because they never really resolved their differences. Who knows? Not Alexis.
Peppermint had asked with a hesitant voice. “Hey, I know you and I aren’t besties by a long shot, but I need some help. You offered one time.” There was a pause. “To help, I mean.”
Alexis’ mind was too busy running through all the possible scenarios that could have led to this conversation to catch the beginning of Peppermint’s next phrase.
“without thinking, but you are my last chance.”
“What is it?”
“I am getting my wisdom teeth out Friday, and I need someone to go with me.” Peppermint said all of this quite fast, Alexis’ second clue to her hesitance of asking for this favor.
“No problem. What time?” Alexis surprised herself by her lack of hesitation.
They had talked for a few more awkward minutes about the logistics, before Peppermint awkwardly hung up with a “Thanks.”
Alexis didn’t think much more about the conversation; each time it popped up, she pushed it to the back of her thoughts, along with a feeling in her chest that felt akin to unease.
The day finally arrived, and Alexis showed up twenty minutes early in her anxiousness. She strolled back and forth in front of Peppermint’s apartment for five of those minutes before resolving to just get over herself and knock on the door. Right as she raised her hand, the door swung open. Alexis caught a brief glimpse of what she assumed to be the living room before the figure of her friend filled her view. Friend? Alexis’ mind questioned.
“Oh. Hey.”
“Hi. You are early.” Peppermint was smiling a little knowing smile that made Alexis wonder if Peppermint had seen her pacing.
Alexis wiped her palms subtly on her jeans and didn’t meet Peppermint’s eyes. “Yeah. Didn’t want to make you late.”
“How very kind of you.” That smile made Alexis’ stomach twist again, but this time it wasn’t in unease, and she felt a twitch in her lips in response to the twist in her stomach.
A few beats of silence passed where Peppermint stared expectantly at Alexis who was just staring back. “Right, well, shall we go?”
The trip to the subway and the subsequent ride passed without issue. Unless you count the uncharacteristic smile that graced Alexis’ face every time she and Peppermint made eye contact. Actually scratch that, the subway ride was the most fun Alexis had had with another person in a while.
She and Peppermint traded crazy subway stories, and that turned into crazy fan encounters, which turned into just crazy stories. The time passed surprisingly quickly, and Alexis found herself surprised by her reluctance to let Peppermint go. She had this strange urge to get all the insane adventures out of the older queen before she left. Peppermint seemed more than happy to oblige her. They giggled and talked like schoolgirls and almost missed their stop.
In the waiting room, Alexis couldn’t help but notice the up and down motion of Peppermint’s leg.
“Are you nervous?”
“Terrified.”
“What?” Alexis was shocked. How could this amazing force of nature be scared of anything?
“Anesthesia freaks me the fuck out.” Alexis still looked a bit shocked, so Peppermint continued, “Just the thought that I could not remember an entire chunk of time is freaky.”
“It’s really not that bad.”
“You’ve had your wisdom teeth out?” Alexis nodded. “You bitch! I’ve been freaking out for the past hour about this, and you could have been comforting me!”
Peppermint’s fake offense, paired with her scandalized expression, was too much for Alexis, and she burst into a fit of laughter. “Sorry. I just didn’t think about it.”
“Didn’t think about it my ass.” Peppermint said under her breath, which triggered another stream of giggles from Alexis.
All too soon, at least in Alexis’ opinion, Peppermint was called back. But just before she stood up, Alexis reached out and squeezed her hand. A thankful look was her response.
Alexis mulled over the past hour while she waited. She tried to suss out what she was feeling.
She couldn’t.
Which was of note, because Alexis always knew why she felt the way she did. As a young kid she had learned quickly to find the source of her feelings and shut them down. People were cruel, and it seems they were always better at finding her weaknesses than she’d been. That’s why she loved theatre as much as she did; she could try someone else’s imperfections on for an hour or two. So the fact that she still had no idea why she felt so strange around Peppermint was alarming.
Before she knew it, the object of her thoughts was standing in front of her, well more like floating in front of her. The older queen’s eyes were glazed over, and a smile too big for her face chased her cheekbones.
“Hey girl. How are you-” Alexis was cut off by a firm body half falling, half embracing her.
“Alexis, my sis, how are you? Are you good? That’s good. I’m good. How are you?” Peppermint then burst into giggles.
Alexis looked at the nurse who brought Peppermint out, as if to ask ‘how much of that stuff did you give her?’ The nurse just shrugged.
Peppermint couldn’t walk, so Alexis had to do the walking for both of them. Just the thought of going back to Peppermint’s place all the way at the other end of the city, made Alexis nervous. She also didn’t trust Peppermint alone. She decided it would just be better for everyone if they went back to her place.
Easier said than done.
It was hard enough just getting Peppermint on the subway without attracting a crowd. She had to assure several security personnel that they knew each other and that Peppermint was just on painkillers. The gauze and blood in her mouth made Alexis’ story more believable, and security let her pass with only a few wary glances.
After finally getting into a subway car, Alexis thought the worst was behind her. Then the subway stopped.
Peppermint found this hilarious, and Alexis thanked whatever god existed that there was no one else in their train car, because the resounding cackle would surely have upset them.
Alexis tried to keep calm; this was New York, and subways stopped all the time. But as more and more time ticked by with no calm voice blaring over the speakers, restoring their confidence, the more worried Alexis got.
Even slaphappy Peppermint began to get a bit impatient.
“What’s going on Lexis? Are we gonna be ok?” The childish tone in her voice tugged at Alexis’ heartstrings.
“We are gonna be just fine Peppermint. Don’t worry about it.”
Peppermint wasn’t convinced. “I’m scared.” She turned her head that had previously been resting on Alexis’ shoulder, to bury it in the younger girl’s chest. Alexis found her fingers instinctively run through Peppermint’s hair, trying to comfort her. Evidently it worked, as Alexis felt Peppermint go limp in her arms and she could swear she could hear Peppermint purr.
As luck would have it, right after this rather strange exchange, the subway car jerked forward in a shaky motion and began to screech along the rails again. Only when the car screeched to another halt, this time at an actual terminal, did Alexis notice she had been stroking Peppermint’s hair the whole ride.
The adventure from the terminal to Alexis’ apartment was less of an adventure and more of an ‘Alexis drags a reluctant Peppermint for three blocks.’
Alexis’ sigh of relief when the door finally opened was audible for several blocks. Peppermint groaned as she was made to walk all ten steps to Alexis’ bed. The 'oof’ Peppermint made was also audible for several blocks.
Alexis didn’t even bat an eyelash, exhaustion winning out against her other thoughts. She did try and stand to take off her shoes, but a strong grip pulled her back to the bed.
“Stay.”
Alexis nodded, even though she saw Peppermint’s closed eyes. Alexis allowed herself to be manhandled into the most comfortable position for Peppermint to bury into. The two end up with the older queen’s head on Alexis’ chest, and their legs tangled like pasta.
Alexis huffed out a laugh, but buried her own head into the short hair of the other queen. They both were drifting in and out of consciousness when Alexis heard it. Just faintly enough that Peppermint could pretend she never said it tomorrow. “I love you Alexis.”
Alexis just 'hmmed,’ until Peppermint pulled her head up and looked at her with wide eyes, no trace of drowsiness in her features. “Don’t you love me too?”
Alexis, who was halfway conscious, and also very offended that Peppermint had pulled her head away, spoke the words without thinking about it. “Yes. Of course I love you.”
Peppermint seemed satisfied by this answer, and resumed her position on the soft chest, small smile dancing along the contours of her cheeks.
