"Son" Ron admonished jovially, clocking his eldest lad's laughing eyes across the breakfast table; so close to a mirror of his own in shape and their capacity to pin others to the air with their intensity that it caught the elder Kray staring now and then. Today though, they weren't intense; not at least with anything but the laughter the chortling monstah was doing his best to hold in.

"What?" Max said, pointing at his dad with his knife. "You got too many kids not t'av preferences. There's me 'n five, dad. C'mon. Don't lie."

Ron pointed right back at him, same hand, same utensil. Others about the table wondered if they knew quite how similar they were.

"Ain't no lie in me, lad" Ron replied, breaking off those similarities by setting his knife and fork back to his breakfast where Max, more up for banter, held his at table height. "You're me faverit Max. Like John's me faverit John, Liv's me faverit Liv, 'n Vi 'n Jim 'n RJ're me faverit each'a them. Y'can't compete wiv eachovvah as yer each unique 'n uniquely loved."

Peace came over the table for a few moments, Ron managing a bite of egg on toast before his eldest lad, ever the comedian with his timing, piped up--

"So yer sayin' I'm yer faverit, right?"

The glare cast at him would'a curdled milk but Max...Max was immune.

Whats your take on the new synopsis?

Let’s see what we have for episode 2x02, nonnie!

The episode is called Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space. The title comes from a 1997 song (also name of the album) of the same name by British space rock (yes, that’s what the genre’s called!) band Spiritualized.

Let’s break down the synopsis. (Sorry, Tumblr refuses to let me add a Read More 😒)

Liz (Jeanine Mason) is forced to put her latest experiment on hold after Rosa (Amber Midthunder) begins to struggle with her new life in Roswell.

So, Liz is experimenting. Experimenting on Rosa (or rather her cells) in hope of finding a way to bring Max back, I assume? And poor Rosa, I guess she’s still ‘in hiding’ this early on in the season, they probably haven’t found a cover story to explain her return yet.

“Everybody in this town is haunted. Execpt for me. I’m a ghost.” That’s what Rosa said in the NYCC trailer. I guess this could be a scene from 2x02 then?

We know from 2x01 that Rosa returned from the dead healed from her addictions, but addiction’s not just a physical thing (from which she’s currently healed), it’s also a mental thing, and that’s not been dealt with when she was dead. On top of that she’s also haunted by Noah’s ghost. D:

Ngl, I WORRY™ about Rosa. I hope she gets all the help she needs to get through this, and that she can then go on and have a life eventually.

Reluctant to face the truth about his mother’s past, Michael (Michael Vlamis) turns his attention to helping Maria (Heather Hemmens), who is dealing with her own family crisis.

From S1 we know that episode titles (which are also song titles from 90s songs) don’t necessarily refer to anything happening in an episode, but the first line of the song providing the episode title for 2x02 could easily refer to Michael

All I want in life’s a little bit of love to take the pain away

After ghosting Maria in 2x01, this part of the synopsis doesn’t exactly sound like Michael’s actually seeking out Maria, more like she’s going to ask him for help regarding Mimi’s disappearance?

Heather also said at aTVfest the following about M/M

I think it’s always going to be complicated for Michael and Maria. You know, I was saying earlier it’s like they have this little tiny spark, and they’re both kind of huffing on it trying to get, you know, trying to get the fire going, get a little warmth in there, but it’s complicated

That doesn’t exactly scream easy and happy (the thing Michael’s apparently looking for?) to me, more like trying very hard and possibly not succeeding? Sometimes a tiny, little spark is just a tiny, little spark, a flicker of light, not burning long or hot enough to get a fire started.

Anyway, no idea why she’d turn to Michael, who’s been ignoring her for the 2 weeks passing during 2x01, and probably for the several weeks passing between 2x01 and 2x02 (as per Carina)? Are they really going to make her run after him for that long? Oh man, I guess Heather didn’t make fun of Maria’s behavior for nothing…

Elsewhere, Isobel (Lily Cowles) agrees to join her mother for a day of spiritual healing to keep herself distracted.

Okay, I’m actually looking forward to this. We haven’t seen Isobel interact with her mom yet (apart from brief moments in episode 2x01), but Ann Evans and ‘spiritual healing’ should be interesting. xD Also, what are they telling Ann about Max’s disappearance? Will she just accept that he left heartbroken about Liz’s (supposed) rejection and won’t even call his mom?

Finally, Rosa turns to Kyle (Michael Trevino) to learn the truth about what really happened the night she died.

So, Liz in 2x01 said, she told Rosa everything, but if Rosa feels like there’s still stuff she doesn’t know, that can’t be true? What did Liz leave out? Was it on purpose, was it an accident? Liz only knows about that night from what Max told her in 1x06, how would Kyle know more about it than Liz???

Did Project Shepard have files on that night?

Tyler Blackburn and Trevor St. John also star.

Wow, could they tell us any less about the part I’m most interested in???? Thanks, I already knew Alex would be in this episode. Hmmph… Since Jesse will also grace us with his unpleasant presence, this moment from the NYCC trailer could be part of 2x02

That would also mean that Flint is back (who kidnapped Noah’s body last episode, the redemption arc I’m hoping for for my boy Flint is off to a rocky start…). This is definitely going to be interesting, can’t wait for the Alex/Flint interaction!

What the synopsis fails to mention: we’ll meet Justina Adorno’s character Steph for the first time in this episode!

So, all in all it sounds like Max is still not back, like Kyle’ll be having scenes with Rosa and Steph, like Mimi’s still missing, like Liz’ll be back in her lab coat, and like there’ll be at least one scene I’ll fast forward through… :P

No 1947 flashbacks, so the focus will be on all the characters of the main timeline. I’m good with that. For now.
