The Halloween shenanigans were in full swing in the McKay house. Horror movies, scary stories, pranks at his expense times ten, and even a ouija board. Sam had no idea where Adrianna managed to find one, but somehow he got sucked into participating along with Sid, Erin, and Emmett. Probably because she implied he was a chicken shit and he wanted to prove her wrong.

As the siblings all gathered around the board, Adrianna began setting up. The second the planchette was set down on the board and it didn’t move, Sam piped up, “welp, it’s a dud. Spirits aren’t talking. What a fucking shame. Hocus Pocus, anyone?”

“Sammy, we haven’t even started yet,” Erin states as the others try to suppress their laughter at his eagerness to get it over with. “Okay, so everyone place their fingers on the little planchette.” Addressing their sister now, she adds, “Adrianna, ask it a question.”

A number of questions follow asking for a sign, a name, if they’re there etcetera. There was no response at first, but then the planchette moved and Sam jerked away. “No. You guys are fucking with me again.” 

As they all insist they’re not, the movement of the planchette starts moving more rapidly and he could only stare wide-eyed; utterly horrified as it got more intense. Why the fuck did they think this was a good idea? Her eyes still focused on the board, Adrianna covers her mouth before looking to him which only further unnerved Sam. Her look mirrored his own. “What?! Why are you looking at me like that?? What’d it fucking say?!”

The suspense is further drawn out as she hesitates before replying, “The ouija board says you’re a little shit.”

He should’ve seen that one coming. They all burst out in laughter then with Erin clapping him on the shoulder muttering between giggles, “you should’ve seen your face!”

Annoyed, Sam rolls his eyes at the four of them as he pushes back up to his feet. “I hate literally all of you. You guys are all fucking assholes, you know that?” That only further fueled the laughter as he threw his arms up in frustration. “Fuck you guys, I’m going to bed.”
